Black Mountain of Maine Aerial Overview by Slopevue.com
This aerial flyover video is part of the Slopevue project ( Slopevue is an ambitious aerial film-making effort that documents popular ski areas from above for the benefit of the skiing and riding public. The brainchild of lifelong skier and pilot Ted Rosenberger, Slopevue provides the ski industry with stunning 4K aerial footage that was filmed using an advanced camera system mounted to the nose of Ted's helicopter. Unlike trail maps, Slopevue shows you each mountain as it actually appears in winter. Slopevue is an ongoing project with more than 100 ski areas in the Northeast USA covered so far. Slopevue footage is available for licensing to interested parties.

BLACK MOUNTAIN of MAINE.
A short drone video from Black Mountain in Rumford, Maine.
Black Mountain of Rumford, Maine
Rumford, Maine will always be home to me..... Since I moved away back in 1993...I have watched Rumford change over the years.... Being on the outside looking in... I now see the town from a different perspective..... I honestly think Rumford has so much potential and could totally survive by using their natural resources if the mill were to close down.....
This video is just an example on where the town could capitalize.
I made this video to show everyone how beautiful Black Mountain of Rumford, Maine is and the potential it has for growth.
Peopel need to get past what it used to be...
And focus on what it could be!!
These are just my opinions and some ideas......
I think Black mountain could become a destination but there needs to be development. Rumford needs to develop hotels or cabins for visitors to stay in when visiting..... There is plenty of land to develop on.
I also think they could build an obstacle course / get sponsors and have visitors come from all over to compete in like they do for Mudderella ( ) and
Tuffmudder ( )
They could do chairlifts up to the top of the mountain during the fall to cater to leaf peepers while selling food and beverages in the lodge and make some sort of event out of it.

Coos Canyon of Byron, Maine
I wanted to show everyone how beautiful the surrounding areas are on the outskirts of Rumford,Maine...
Coos Canyon is a great roadside park to stop for a swim or enjoy a picnic .The canyon is utterly beautiful. The rocks lining the canyon walls have uniquely carved lines in them due to erosion over the years. You will find this hot spot to fit all ages. Some people jump off the canyon walls for a refreshing splash into the river below, while other families wade in the waters above. Overall, this is a great place to spend a warm day basking in the sun. What more could you ask for from a picnic area?
The Swift River is also known as one of Maine's prime places to pan for gold. The Ole Prospector Mineral & Gift Shoppe is located across the street from the canyon and they rent inexpensive supplies. They also offer free demonstrations on how to correctly pan for these treasures.
