JELM RIVERFRONT MANSION
The Jelm Riverfront Mansion is a gorgeous once in a lifetime property for an investor, an outdoorsman, or anyone searching for a secluded family get-a-way. Located in southeastern Wyoming, this 20-acre property features 707 feet of private river frontage on the Laramie River, a 9,000 square foot stunning log home, another 1,540 square foot updated ranch style home, and dramatic and unobstructed views of the Snowy Range Mountains. This property has access by private road to state land and is very close to National Forest where you can find some of the best big game hunting, snowmobiling, hiking, trout fishing, and more. The Jelm Riverfront Mansion would be perfectly suited for a retreat or a family vacation home.
The Mansion: The 9,000 square foot main house was updated in 2004 and has been extremely well maintained by the current owners. It is currently being used as their residence and is also rented out on an occasional basis for periodic income. The highlights of the magnificent home are its eight bedrooms (with additional sleeping space beyond this), a large Horseshoe kitchen that opens up to the dining room and sitting room, the distressed hickory wood floors and cabinets, the gorgeous hand hewn beams, and the ample amounts of storage that has been added to the home including a walk-in pantry. The Mansion also has custom hand-made hand rails throughout the home and a timeless river rock fireplace. The 3,000 square foot walk-out basement has an open concept and adds a spot for additional laundry, a wet bar, and much more.
The Ranch Style Home: The second home on the property would be perfect to live out of while managing the mansion or would be a nice rental to have some extra income. It is 1,540 square feet, 2 bed/1 bath, and has a 1 1/2 car garage. This home has been recently updated with new windows, a new furnace, and all new plumbing. There is a deck on the south side of this home that boasts some of the best views of the Snowy Range Mountains.
Outbuildings: The Mansion has an attached 3-car garage that is all insulated and has one 14-foot door for RV's, campers, or trailers. The other 2 doors are 8 foot. There is also an additional 1 car garage on the back side of the home. The ranch style home has an attached 1 1/2 car garage. The only other outbuilding on the property is a small chicken coop currently used by the renters.
Utilities: The Mansion is mainly heated by hot water heat. In addition, there are 5 gas fireplaces (natural gas) in the home, and 1 wood fireplace. Each room has its own thermostat to keep them nice and cozy! The ranch style home is heated by a natural-gas fueled furnace. The property has a 119 ft well that is permitted for commercial use and that provides for both homes, and 2 other wells for livestock. There are also 2 private septic tanks.
Wildlife and Recreation: The Jelm Riverfront Mansion is smack-dab in the middle of some of the best year-round recreational opportunities. From skiing, snowmobiling, hiking, big game hunting, horseback riding, and camping, the Medicine Bow National Forest offers miles of trails and thousands of acres of public land. The Laramie River that runs through the property is one of the main tributaries of the North Platte River and offers awesome opportunities for trout fishing. The owners are going to miss seeing big deer and moose on their property.

The Missouri River: Starting Point for the Western Trails, by Travis Boley, Association Manager for the Oregon-California Trails Association - Tuesday, October 27, 2015.

For many pioneers headed west, the Missouri River served as the
first leg in their journey to the Western Trails. Travis Boley,,
rethinks the Missouri River in terms of its unique status as a
waterway that doubles as a National Historic Trail.
He is already engaged in creating a 40 mile hiking/biking trail
in the shared historic corridor of the Oregon/California/Santa Fe
Trail from Sugar Creek, Missouri to Gardner, Kansas. It will
intersect with the Katy Trail Extension at 63rd and Blue Ridge
Blvd. in Raytown, Missouri making it possible for hikers and
bikers to easily access the Missouri River at the former Wayne
City Landing near present day Sugar Creek, Missouri.
His grander vision includes opening up wide swaths of the
Missouri River shoreline to allow similar non-motorized access to
our metro area’s riverfront, including trails that connect the
remaining historic sites from the Lewis & Clark Expedition and
the old riverboat landings for the wagon roads. This concept
would fully realize the idea that Congress established in the
1968 National Trails Act, which called for the building of
“retracement” trails in such corridors to forever preserve these
corridors.

SUMMARY
=======
Montana ( (listen)) is a state in the Northwestern United States. Montana has several nicknames, although none are official, including Big Sky Country and The Treasure State, and slogans that include Land of the Shining Mountains and more recently The Last Best Place.Montana is the 4th largest in area, the 8th least populous, and the 3rd least densely populated of the 50 U.S. states. The western half of Montana contains numerous mountain ranges. Smaller island ranges are found throughout the state. In total, 77 named ranges are part of the Rocky Mountains. The eastern half of Montana is characterized by western prairie terrain and badlands. Montana is bordered by Idaho to the west, Wyoming to the south, North Dakota and South Dakota to the east, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan to the north.
The economy is primarily based on agriculture, including ranching and cereal grain farming. Other significant economic resources include oil, gas, coal, hard rock mining, and lumber. The health care, service, and government sectors also are significant to the state's economy.
The state's fastest-growing sector is tourism. Nearly 13 million tourists annually visit Glacier National Park, Yellowstone National Park, the Beartooth Highway, Flathead Lake, Big Sky Resort, and other attractions.
Suspense: The X-Ray Camera / Subway / Dream Song
The program's heyday was in the early 1950s, when radio actor, producer and director Elliott Lewis took over (still during the Wilcox/Autolite run). Here the material reached new levels of sophistication. The writing was taut, and the casting, which had always been a strong point of the series (featuring such film stars as Orson Welles, Joseph Cotten, Henry Fonda, Humphrey Bogart, Judy Garland, Ronald Colman, Marlene Dietrich, Eve McVeagh, Lena Horne, and Cary Grant), took an unexpected turn when Lewis expanded the repertory to include many of radio's famous drama and comedy stars — often playing against type — such as Jack Benny. Jim and Marian Jordan of Fibber McGee and Molly were heard in the episode, Backseat Driver, which originally aired February 3, 1949.
The highest production values enhanced Suspense, and many of the shows retain their power to grip and entertain. At the time he took over Suspense, Lewis was familiar to radio fans for playing Frankie Remley, the wastrel guitar-playing sidekick to Phil Harris in The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show. On the May 10, 1951 Suspense, Lewis reversed the roles with Death on My Hands: A bandleader (Harris) is horrified when an autograph-seeking fan accidentally shoots herself and dies in his hotel room, and a vocalist (Faye) tries to help him as the townfolk call for vigilante justice against him.
With the rise of television and the departures of Lewis and Autolite, subsequent producers (Antony Ellis, William N. Robson and others) struggled to maintain the series despite shrinking budgets, the availability of fewer name actors, and listenership decline. To save money, the program frequently used scripts first broadcast by another noteworthy CBS anthology, Escape. In addition to these tales of exotic adventure, Suspense expanded its repertoire to include more science fiction and supernatural content. By the end of its run, the series was remaking scripts from the long-canceled program The Mysterious Traveler. A time travel tale like Robert Arthur's The Man Who Went Back to Save Lincoln or a thriller about a death ray-wielding mad scientist would alternate with more run-of-the-mill crime dramas.
