North Texas Hill Country Part 1 | Saint Jo + Nocona, TX
If you live in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, we've officially decided there's no excuse for you not to take the hour and a half or so drive to Saint Jo for a weekend getaway. Our original plan was loosely based our trip on a visit to Ancient Ovens, but we stumbled upon so many other #noteworthy things to do and see that one episode just wouldn't cut it! This episode highlights our entire weekend from where we stayed to what we ate and drank. Next week's episode will take a deeper dive into a behind the scenes tour at Blue Ostrich Winery.
Blue Ostrich Winery & Vineyard- Texas winery using bottling truck to bottle wine
This is a brief overview of what it looks like when we use the Bacchanalia Bottling truck out of Spicewood Texas. When running at full capacity, we can sparge, fill, cork, capsule and label over 2000 bottles an hour! This is a very efficient way for medium size wineries to get their wines bottled. This is one of two bottling trucks that operate in Texas. This type of operation is very common in California, Oregon and Washington. The wine being bottled in this video is our popular sweet red blend called CIELO.

Kiepersol Estates Winery -- Tyler, Texas
The founder of the estate is demonstrating what it's like to achieve the American dream. Coming to this country with little money, he chose East Texas as the site for a vineyard and winery. Initial planting started in 1998 and has now grown to 60 acres and 14 varietals. The fruits of his labor have literally grown to become a successful business and a recognized winery and vineyard from East Texas. Both red and white varietals can be found here. As most Texas grape growers know, red grapes other than Black Spanish can be quite a challenge if not near impossible to maintain in East Texas. However, hard work and determination has shown that it can be done. The first vintages came out in 2000. All of the wines available for tasting are well balanced with tannins taking a back seat. There is about an equal selection of dry and sweet to red and white to blush wines. With almost two dozen wines to select from, there is something here for everyone. For the sweet whites, you'll definitely want to try the White Zinfandel along with your favorite cake dessert. The Kiepersol Vit has a mango aroma that gives it a tropical feel. For dry whites, you can't go wrong with their Viognier or Semillion. Both are crisp and complex yet easy enough for anyone to enjoy. Syrah lovers will be very pleased with their 2008 and 2007 selections! The most memorable tasting notes for the reds are the 2008 Cabernet and Barrel No 33. For deep bold and dry wine lovers, those two are for you! Don't forget to save room for the port. It is a tawny style port and....well....wow! We look forward to featuring in more detail these and other wines we picked up from the winery in future blogs. Don't let the fact that you have to drive through a housing area dissuade you...there really is a lovely winery waiting at the end of the road for you to enjoy. The estate also has a very fine high end restaurant and Bed and Breakfast. This place has a lot to offer its wine lovers. And did we mention the view from the tasting room? You'll just have to go and check it out for yourself and see! Go early enough in the day to be able to sit and enjoy the spectacular view with your glass of wine.

Bending Branch Winery is a boutique vineyard and winery on 56 scenic acres in Comfort, Texas, along the Texas Wine Trail. The winery offers 13 varietals that have been carefully selected to properly suit the Texas terroir.
Among their award winning wine are Petite Sirah, Picpoul Blanc and Tannat. Hamburger
A hamburger (also called a beef burger, hamburger sandwich, burger or hamburg) is a sandwich consisting of one or more cooked patties of ground meat (usually beef) usually placed inside a sliced hamburger bun. Hamburgers are often served with lettuce, bacon, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese and condiments such as mustard, mayonnaise, ketchup and relish.
The term burger can also be applied to the meat patty on its own, especially in the UK where the term patty is rarely used. The term may be prefixed with the type of meat as in turkey burger.

Watch Christian Bale Burn Rubber in ‘Ford v Ferrari’ | Anatomy of a Scene
How do you go about recreating a 24-hour auto race for a movie? If you’re the director James Mangold, meticulously.
His latest film, “Ford v Ferrari,” takes place in the mid-1960s as the Ford Motor Company is trying to come up with a car that can beat out Ferrari in the Le Mans auto race. The American executives bring on the car designer Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and the driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) to aid in that task.
This scene takes place at the beginning of the 1966 edition of the race as Miles is preparing. Narrating the sequence, Mangold said that he wanted to use the camera following Miles down a hallway and then out to the track as a technique to reveal the spectacle of the race, with overwhelming crowds and a heightened energy.
The race starts the same way Le Mans used to actually begin, with the drivers standing across the track from their cars, then running over and leaping into the vehicles before pulling out. Mangold said the moment, captured in one shot, was a challenge to coordinate but was important to give a sense of authenticity to the scene.
He said he shot as much of the action as possible with real cars and stunt drivers, using visual effects not as much for the racing moments, but more to populate the stands so the production wouldn’t need 20,000 extras each day.
