On this Airstream Life vLog, we leave the state park and head to our last Harvest Host stay for a while, this time full hookups at Grovedale Winery. Steve accidentally deleted the footage of us arriving and setting up but that's okay! At least he didn't delete the wine tasting!
We are staying at a full hookup spot next to the winery for $25. We originally planned to boondock in the parking lot but since it was getting to below freezing that night we decided full hookups were definitely worth it. Once we set up the Airstream we walked across the lawn to the tasting room.
The wines here were delicious and the company amazing (both human and animal). We made friends with the winery cats and dogs while tasting and enjoying some wine slushies (even though it was cold outside). Then it was time to walk back to the Airstream and get some dinner started.
Internet was okay here, good enough to stream during dinner and we spent a very quiet, restful and WARM night. If you are ever near Wyalusing PA you should definitely stop in!
Stay tuned for our next video when we arrive in Ithaca at a state park which will be our home base for the next 10 days. So excited!

Driftwood Festival at Doheny State Beach
Thousands turned out on Veterans Day weekend for the first annual KFRG presents Driftwood at Doheny State Beach, featuring country music, craft beer, artisan wine and top notch BBQ held at the scenic Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA on Saturday, November 12.
Driftwood at Doheny State Beach featured over 100 craft beers and artisan wines, some of the best BBQ in the region, as well as a full day of eclectic music ranging from country to Americana and mariachi rock, with co-headlining performances from Nashville hitmakers Jerrod Niemann and Rodney Atkins, as well as Thompson Square, Parmalee, The White Buffalo, Mariachi El Bronx, and Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria and We Are Harlot) in his first-ever outlaw country solo performance. Festival attendees roamed throughout lush grass and sandy areas of Doheny State Beach, right off the shore of the Pacific Ocean.
Festival attendees enjoyed a full afternoon and evening of music, including closing performances from co-headliners Jerrod Niemann and Rodney Atkins (who was joined onstage by wife and singer/songwriter Rose Falcon for a duet and a performance of the #1 country hit “Friday Night,” which she co-wrote).

Move Me Brightly is a film based around a musical gathering at Bob Weir's TRI Studios in San Rafael, California to mark what would have been Jerry Garcia's 70th birthday on 3rd August, 2012. The revolving line-up of performers included fellow Grateful Dead members along with many guest artists who joined together to celebrate Jerry Garcia's life and work. The evening's programme was originally conceived by film director Justin Kreutzmann, the son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill, and the complete five hour set was webcast live. This film combines live performances from the studio alongside interviews with Jerry Garcia's family members, Grateful Dead bandmates and other musicians who played with or were inspired by him. It is fitting tribute to one of rock music's most creative and imaginative composers and performers.

6.4 Ridgecrest Earthquake Felt in Los Angeles
An earthquake rattled a large swath of Southern California and parts of Nevada on Thursday morning, making hanging lamps sway and photo frames on wall shake. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The 6.4 magnitude quake measured struck near in the Mojave Desert, about 150 miles (240 kilometers) northeast of Los Angeles, near the town of Ridgecrest, California.
The United State Geological Survey initially said it measured at a 6.6 magnitude.
People from Las Vegas to the Pacific Coast reported feeling a rolling motion and took to social media to report it.
Local emergency agencies also took to social media to ask people to only call 911 for emergencies.
We are very much aware of the significant earthquake that just occurred in Southern California. Please DO NOT call 9-1-1 unless there are injuries or other dangerous conditions. Don't call for questions please, the LAPD said in a statement published on Twitter.
Ashleigh Chandler, a helicopter rescue EMT at Fort Irwin, California, said the quake happened as she was getting ready for a July 4th party.
I was just in the living room getting everything ready, we start to feel the shaking, so then I look up and then the wine bottles start rattling and I thought, 'They're going to fall.'
My sister was in the house and my dog, so we just got everyone outside and then it ended. It was like 15, 20 seconds, maybe. It was pretty good shaking, so I'm out of breath.

Geoff Tate is a German-born American singer and musician. He rose to fame with the progressive metal band Queensrÿche, who had commercial success with their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime and 1990 album Empire. Tate is ranked fourteenth on Hit Parader's list of the 100 Greatest Metal Vocalists of All Time. He was voted No. 2 on That Metal Show's top 5 hard rock vocalists of the 1980s. In 2012, he won the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Music Award for Voice in Progressive Heavy Metal. In 2015, he placed ninth on OC Weekly's list of the 10 Best High-Pitched Metal Singers. After his farewell tour as Queensrÿche, he renamed his band Operation: Mindcrime, after the Queensrÿche album of the same name.

Dr. Berg talks about alkaline water. The problem is, in nature water does come in an alkaline state because of the minerals. When you artificially make water alkaline, you split apart the water molecules with electricity to make it alkaline but without the minerals. Its the minerals that add the x factor in water, not just H2O. There are problems long term that can occur with drinking artificially make alkaline water - the neutralization of body acids (stomach, large intestines and urine). I have found that some people who drink alkaline water end up with a urine of a pH of 9, completely off the scale when it should be 5-6. This breads microbes. Making your entire body alkaline can create problems with electrolytes (affecting the heart), the muscles, and slow digestion, because you need a strong acid stomach.
