UPLOADS EVERY 2 DAYS :)
June 23rd, 2016 -- My family and I went to the Roanoke Island Aquarium! It was certainly a looooot of fun. Since you guys requested me to turn my adventure into a VLOG, here you go. :)
In this video, there is a little bit of didactic contents (i.e. fish identification), a little bit of history, and of course LOTS of entertainment! You should definitely not miss the root challenge -- it was pretty cool to complete it. Haha.
So, now you know...when I am not fishing, I am usually watching fish. Lol. Oh...and needless to say: if you enjoyed this video and thought that the Aquarium was SUPER COOL, don't forget to visit it if you are ever around Roanoke Island. :)
Coming up in two days: Not heeding Bob's advice, my father and I try the Currituck Sound one more time! This time, we go a little bit more North, close to Corolla. And boy, albeit small, we didn't expect to land a few new PBs! Stay tuned! Updates will keep coming every two days. :)

Bluefish Bonanza - Spectacular day fishing at Wrightsville NC
I could not believe it. For three straight hours, I had a bluefish on for 9 out of every 10 casts. UNBELIEVABLE! They chewed all my 3 and 5-inch swimming mullet to pieces, and I switched to jerks. I don't like fishing those on jigheads, but that is all I had. But... it did not make a lick of difference. The FISH were ON!

You need to exercise caution, particularly in the spring when the water is high or during rapid changes in tide, before you fish anywhere. You should always wear a life vest when fishing. In addition, a wading staff will help you keep your balance as you walk on the shoreline or wade.

Is a Hydraulic Jack Plate Necessary for You?
Ryan shares some practical uses and demonstrates why a jack plate is an important tool for his fishing situation in shallow natural lakes and rivers, and may be for you too.
Hydraulic jack plates like the T-H Marine ATLAS allow Wired2Fish staff to safely operate good-sized boats on small rivers. Not all of us have the luxury of owning several boats for different fishing situations, but you can increase the versatility of your boat with a jack plate. Bass anglers throughout the southern United States have long used hydraulic jack plates to run shallow water, increase top-end speed, improve hole shots and even mid-range performance. Jack plates also allow for mounting additional accessories such as shallow water anchors and transducers without drilling holes in the transom. In this video, we explore using regular-sized bass boats outfitted with mid-to-large outboards in shallow water rivers. Rivers and reservoirs alike experience regular water level fluctuations, often of several feet. The 6 inches of vertical lift provided by the T-H Marine ATLAS extends boat use and safety in skinny water without having to downsize boats, switch to a jet drive engine, or forego fishing altogether.

Outer Banks Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report - 5.31.11 - Let Summer Begin..
Good afternoon. Here's the Outer Banks Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report for Tuesday, May 31, 2011.
This video was shot at the 5th St. beach access just south of the Avalon Pier in Kill Devil Hills. I then stopped off at the Lillian St. beach access to grab the surf video.
Last day of May! Time flies! Hope y'all had a great Memorial Day weekend. Let the summer fun begin. The great stretch of perfect OBX weather continues. 80's, sun, and light winds. I looked at the 10 day forecast this morning, and there was only 1 day with isolated t-storms. Other than that, it's 80's and sun for the foreseeable future.
In addition to a great stretch of beautiful weather, we've had a great streak of fun OBX surf. There has been waist high swell and offshore winds for about a week, and that streak continues today. Although, it could come to an end today. Surf is fun in the waist to chest range today, but the wind will switch onshore at some point today. We could still have some fun waves for the rest of the week, but without the offshore winds, the surf probably won't be clean for the rest of the week...hopefully I'm wrong. :)
OBX fishing gets better everyday. Cobia have moved into the area. An 80 pound cobia catch over the weekend. Offshore is still seeing great dolphin catches, and a few blue and white marlin over the weekend. Near shore, bridges, piers, and the Sound are seeing a wide variety of catches - blue fish, spanish mackerel, croaker, spots, black drum, sea mullets.
Have fun!

How to Rig Bow-Mount Trolling Motors
For bass, musky, panfish, and even a lot of walleye anglers, the bow of the boat has become the primary fishing position, and bow-mount trolling motors the most vital boat control tool you have. Do-it-youself trolling motor rigging can be a fun and easy process, but there's some importance placement and rigging considerations if you want to get the best performance and overall fit-and-finish. Wired2Fish President Terry Brown shares some timeless and often missed nuggets of informant that'll help you avoid common rigging pitfalls, and ensure your trolling, whether old of new, performs flawlessly.

Gates of the Arctic Wilderness is a wilderness area in the U.S. state of Alaska. Located in the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve, it is 7,245,600-acre (2,932,200 ha) in area, the third-largest designated wilderness area in the United States (after the Wrangell-Saint Elias Wilderness and the Mollie Beattie Wilderness, both also in Alaska).
When the wilderness activist, Bob Marshall, for whom Bob Marshall Wilderness in Western Montana is named explored the region in the early 1930s he bestowed the name The Gates of the Arctic on a pair of mountains near the head of the North Fork of the Koyukuk River (Boreal Mountain and Frigid Crags).
The wilderness is home to many animals, including grizzly bears, moose, wolves, Dall sheep, black bears, and many smaller mammals. Barren-ground caribou congregate in large herds. The rivers contain a variety of fish species, including the grayling, Arctic char and chum salmon. Eagles and other birds of prey can be seen soaring overhead waiting for unsuspecting prey.
The wilderness contains many remote glacier-carved valleys, dotted with alpine lakes. While no established trails exist, backpacking is a popular activity in the area. Some hikers carry firearms or pepper spray for protection from bears, but such attacks rarely occur. Climbers enjoy the Arrigetch Peaks and Mount Igikpak. Although camping is unrestricted, wood is scarce and campfires are discouraged.
The wilderness encompasses six designated Wild Rivers, the Alatna River, John River, Kobuk River, the North Fork of the Koyukuk River, part of the Noatak River and the remote and seldom visited Tinayguk River.
