Wanda Sykes (Portsmouth, 7 maart 1964) is een Amerikaans actrice, stand-up comédienne, stemactrice en scriptschrijfster. Ze won in 1999 een Primetime Emmy Award samen met de andere schrijvers van The Chris Rock Show, waarin ze ook haar acteerdebuut maakte. Twee jaar later won ze de American Comedy Award voor grappigste vrouwelijke stand-up comédienne van het jaar. Sykes maakte in 1998 haar filmdebuut in de komedie Tomorrow Night.

The renowned comedy group Boom Chicago, themselves Americans living in the Netherlands, were astonished when they heard they had to file in a country they haven’t lived in for a very long time. They are one of the many victims but decided not to let this pass without making a statement. They made a series of informative, playful clips to show the absurdity of the US laws and draw attention to all the problems it’s causing. ‘File that Tax’ is a series of four clips all based on real stories from real people participating in a nightmarish comedy gameshow: File That Tax!

3 Ways Jordan Peele's 'Get Out' Is Inspired by the Dutch | 'United States of Europe.' Having worked alongside Jordan for 3 years, I realize it's possible the inspiration for the racism in 'Get Out' was partially the Netherlands. (also partially us fellow comedians).
Jordan started his career at Boom Chicago Comedy Theater in Amsterdam, where he performed from 2001-2003.
