The best pho in boulder, a boulder restaurant tour.
Where is boulder’s best pho? It’s not a question I bother with very often, since frankly, I don’t live in boulder and very rarely take the time to eat at sit down restaurants in boulder, since they are often disappointing to me. It so often strikes me as a town for foodies who are entirely lacking in the taste category. For pho, often times that point is proven, much of boulder’s pho variety is mediocre at best, dreadful at worst. For this video, with one exception, I included only restaurants that I’d happily visit again, if you think I missed a gem, let me know, but I’ll warn you that I’ve probably been there and been disappointed as has been the case many times.
What is Pho? A noodle, a Vietnamese rice noodle, springy and perfect for rich and hearty, but texturaly thin soups such as the beefy broth that has become synonymous with Pho in the united states. You expect noodles, broth, cilantro, and beef, generally raw thinly cut slices either put in the bowl before being brought to your table, or placed on the side to be cooked in the hot soup at your leisure. In the united states it’s almost always served with lime, jalapenos, bean sprouts and thai basil on the side.
A western comparison would be chicken noodle soup. It's comforting, ubiquitous, and even a mediocre bowl is still something that will be finished, but sometimes you can find a bowl that truly does what it's supposed to do, satisfying the belly and the soul, as cliche as I know that sounds, it's true.
I'm sorry this wasn't up on friday, lots of editing work, plus some distractions that kept me away from my desk, but I'm pretty happy with some strides I've made in my editing skills, and I hope it translates to a better watching experience.
My blog: Pretty sparce when I'm uploading this, but when I'm not working, filming, or editing the videos, then I'll be working on fleshing it out.
Thanks for reading, I hope you're enjoying the content.

Tour of Boulder Colorado
Boulder has been named the #1 city in the nation in Gallup's Well Being Index. It is also the most educated city in the United States. Today, I'm going to take you on a tour of Boulder Colorado my hometown. Here is my view of why Boulder is such an attractive place to call home.
The first thing that comes to mind is the lifestyle. Boulder is situated where the Rocky Mountains meet the great plains. The transition is dramatic and the geography in and around Boulder are an outdoor playground. Everywhere you look you will see people out biking, hiking, running or just enjoying the natural beauty.
Contrary to popular opinion, we are blessed with a fantastic climate. We have four seasons but over 300 days of sunshine. When we do get snow it often melts within a day. You can find heavy snow cover and cold up in Colorado's high country but on the Front Range you can enjoy the outdoors every month of the year. Boulder is a haven for world class athletes, but you don't have to be an Olympian to take advantage of the thousands of acres of open space surrounding Boulder.
Boulder's economy is strong and is sparked by the University of Colorado. CU is the city's largest employer but just as important is the innovation that has sparked a high tech and entrepreneurial boom. Boulder is known nationwide as one of the hotbeds for start-up companies. High tech, bio-tech, aerospace and renewable energy are just a few of the local industries that keep Boulder vital. We also have many government and research institutions such as NCAR, NOAA and NIST. Boulder is filled with smart people. In fact Boulder has the highest percentage of people with an advanced degree in the entire country.
Boulder's has tons of opportunities for shopping and dining. Right downtown is the world famous Pearl Street Mall but in addition to this shopping and eating area there are many smaller areas with quality food and shopping scattered all over town. The restaurants are outstanding and there is a great diversity in the types of restaurants available.
Many people who could live anywhere in the world choose to live in Boulder. People are casual and friendly. As long as you are quick to give a smile and ready to meet nice people it's easy to fit right in. Boulder has had a very stable housing market. Many years ago local tax payers decided to pay for open space through a sales tax. Thirty years later Boulder is surrounded by open space. This has made the houses and land within Boulder very valuable. Boulder's most expensive real estate is typically west of Broadway near the mountains. These neighborhoods tend to be an easy walk to downtown or to hiking trails. You will find that Boulder is made up of many small neighborhoods and the best way to get to know the different sections is to explore.
With Boulder's educated population, it is not surprising that Boulder has great schools. Boulder Valley School Districts schools consistently rank near the top in the state and offer many advanced programs and excellent extracurricular activities.
I hope that gives you a glimpse of what Boulder is all about. I'm convinced that Boulder is one of the great places in the world to call home. If you are thinking about making Boulder your next home call me, I'd love to show you around. I'm a Boulder native and have been a top producing Realtor in Boulder for 20 years. Have a fantastic day!

Safe Ride From Westminster or Broomfield to Boulder CO with BETTER BICYCLING
Thanks to Stateshirt for the wonderful music. Check'em out at .
I have tried many ways to get from Westminster / Broomfield to Boulder, CO. After trying to ride a short distance down Highway 93 into Boulder and being scared for my life I know I had to from a safer route. Not only is this route about as safe as I can find, it is pretty direct. There are some hills but nothing too thigh burning. The views along the way are very picturesque. There is a bicycle lane or bicycle path all of the way, as well as other riders to help out if you really needed it. The start of the ride up along Wadsworth to the bike path at Highway 128 is noisy with cars and trucks but I felt safe, as there is some seperation, via a painted line, for the bicycles. Follow the bike path from the northwest corner at Wadsworth and Highway 128 to Interlocken Blvd. Make a right turn at Interlocken Blvd for a fun quick ride to the bottom. Continue forward down to the Flatirons Mall, which can be a little busy with shoppers going to the mall in cars. Make a left at the mall and follow the bike lane to Superior. Just follow that path through Superior and past the Safeway / Starbucks to the roundabout at McCaslin. Make a right turn to go up and over the hills to then zoom down McCaslin to Coal Creek and make a cautious left onto Coal Creek. Follow that up to the top at 76th Avenue where you make a right and follow that down to Marshall Road/ Highway 170. Make a left turn onto Marshall Road and follow it over and down. Just before Highway 93 make a right then a quick left hand turn to stay on Marshall Road. Just follow that up, and keep forging north into Boulder. Note; you can go north at Cherryvale to go into Boulder also. Enjoy the ride. FRED
