The Urbane Explorer - Bouncing to Barcelona - World Record Attempt 2018
Training for Bouncing to Barcelona!
In March 2018 I shall be hopping on a pair of 'Spring Loaded Stilts' and bouncing approximately 600km across the north of Spain from Bilbao to Barcelona! Breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest distance travelled on said mode of transport.
Why you ask? Well first off why not! More importantly however, I shall be journeying in memory of a friend Sarah Louise Jacobi. I hope also to raise awareness for the amazing work of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care, supporting people with terminal illness.
The world is vast and there are so many places to see and people to meet. Yet we are not always given the time we might want to explore. Sarah's time was shorter than most. Barcelona was on her list and she didn't get a chance to go there. I hope therefore to carry her memory there with me, with a spring in my step ;).
A dreamer, unashamedly herself and fearlessly present Sarah's is a light lost but not forgotten. I hope therefore to celebrate her life and life in general by trying to make a difference by doing something different.
Although I will not be formally raising money as with previous expeditions I am inviting people to make donations to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice at the link below;
