Kennet & Avon Canal Walk 1 ( Bradford On Avon To Bath )
This is part 1 of a 9 part walk along the Kennet & Avon Canal,
which has 99 locks and runs for 75 miles from Bath to Reading,
I walked this in June/July 2015 with my good friend and constant
companion Jonesie the Norfolk Terrier, using my trusty campervan as a base and a combination of bus and trains to get me back and forth along the canal, I hope you enjoy watching the video/slideshows as much as I did making it. Thanks for watching.

FATHERS DAY
BATH - an ancient Roman city in England, perfect for a family weekend away
Bath is one of the most historic and fun places to visit outside of London, in the UK. We take you on a tour of the 2,000-year-old Roman baths. We were also invited by Luxury Family Hotels to visit Woolley Grange in Bradford-on-Avon which has unique childcare services so the parents get a break as much as the kids!! For more info:
We weren't paid to review the hotel but were given a weekend package so we could make the video. All opinions are our own and based on our own honest experiences.

Two minutes on Bradford on Avon bridge by day
A film to show how much traffic Bradford on Avon is subject to every morning. The pause in the traffic is due to a traffic gridlock at the roundabout on the North side of the bridge and someone using a pedestrian controlled crossing 50 metres south of the bridge. This provides an opportunity for people to crosss the road.
Days Out Travel Blog: The English Civil War, Bradford on Avon
My series called Days Out features events and places around the world that you might go to for a one off time, such as an exhibition or re-enactment. This episode features an event at Bradford on Avon and the English Civil War Society's re-enactment of the storming of the bridge, a strategic battle for Royalist forces who won on the day in 1643 allowing them to go on to fight at Landsdown in Bath and later Bristol.

MEGA CANAL FLIGHTS Pt1 Caen Hill to Honeystreet
Devizes Caen Hill flight all the way to the Barge Inn Pub in Honeystreet, Near Pewsey, Wiltshire UK
This is a new series of flying along the canals to show what the full length of the waterways looks like and the seriously impressive views and engineering achievements. This is a view of the cut (canal) you have never seen before.
THIS IS PART OF THE Kennet and Avon Canal system of Victorian canal systems which were part of the backbone of the industrial revolution and were not only a reliable way to transport massive cargo's with little fuel, in a way which was hard to achieve with roads and steam or petrol engines... these canals also represented an almost forgotten way of life for their boat operators who either pulled the barges with horses or eventaully steam then petrol/diesel engines. For more info see here:
The 29 locks have a rise of 237 feet in 2 miles (72 m in 3.2 km) or a 1 in 44 gradient. The locks come in three groups. The lower seven locks, Foxhangers Wharf Lock to Foxhangers Bridge Lock, are spread over ¾ of a mile (1.2 km). The next sixteen locks form a steep flight in a straight line up the hillside and are designated as a scheduled monument.[2] Because of the steepness of the terrain, the pounds between these locks are very short. As a result, 15 locks have unusually large sideways-extended pounds, to store the water needed to operate them. A final six locks take the canal into Devizes
The Waterfront at Pewsey Wharf
In an old wharf building at Pewsey Wharf along the Kennet and Avon Canal, you will find the Waterfront pub and bistro. The Waterfront Pub at Pewsey Wharf has a small bar, but also has a larger bistro area and beer garden at the rear.
