Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge Texas
A wide scan of the part of the BMWR I found myself in that morning with my cameras and tripod. I mention in my video commentary that it's winter when in actuality it's still autumn. It's just that autumn and winter are interchangeable here in southeast Texas and the one season segues into the other without much notice. These huge areas you see are - during wetter years - totally underwater with many shorebirds and water birds. It's been a dry year though so now all that is seen are fields of tall grass or hardpack dirt.
