We made time to go out and visit the Brazos Valley African American Museum but unfortunately the 2015-2016 Visitors Planning Guide we picked up at the hotel noted that it was open from 2pm-5pm on Sundays didn't instead of being closed all day on Sundays...The Houston Museum of African American Culture does the same thing with its Sundays..but fortunately we were able to play a lil bit of basketball with Lil Shaquille O'neal!????????????????

As a bonus, the second floor of the museum is home to the Galveston County Model Railroad Club. All I can say is Wow…incredible attention to detain in some of those setups. The main model railroad displays are only open on Saturdays, but they do have some exhibits available on the balcony.

The Brazos Valley Community Action Agency, Inc. was awarded a grant by the Texas Department of State Health Services for a community-based obesity prevention program. With their mini-grant, The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley in Bryan, TX, installed safety flooring in their outdoor area and instituted a new Healthy Kids program in which every child attending a museum camp receives 60 minutes of physical activity each day.
