Sixteen hundred hourly employees at Chattanooga's Volkswagen factory will vote next week whether the plant will join with the United Auto Workers.

But local VW chief Frank Fischer says his company is committed to neutrality during the election.
If workers do approve the UAW, the election will mark the first time a foreign-owned auto plant in the South has been unionized.

The Perfect Mug Shot
At the Escape Experience, we strive to make each escape game as authentic as possible. For the C-Block prison escape room, where you have been sentenced to life in prison, the experience naturally must start with a mug shot.
Now, one might think that this is simply a quick snapshot in order to preserve photographic record of the prisoner. However, there is much more that goes into it. There is an art to each and every mug shot. And to make sure your mug shot is the best it can possibly be, let’s break down the intricate details that go into the perfect mug shot and help you put a F.A.C.E. to your crime.
FAMILIARIZE
Because of what you did, you are now going to prison. So the first thing you must do is to familiarize yourself with the situation that you’re in and just accept it. Go to prison forever if you like or find your way out.
ALIAS
I am going to assume that you don’t like to be pushed around behind bars. The only way to ensure that it doesn’t happen is to make your alias known. The alias you choose should reflect your personality, attitude and how many people you’ve killed...um...I mean...how many people you didn’t kill. If you find yourself stuck in what to call yourself, refer to our Alias Generator. It may find you an alias but also may make you a laughing stock in your block. Don’t take this task lightly.
CAPTURE
Of course, when you are being processed and your photo is being captured, you don’t want to look like all the other scoundrels on your block. Your mug shot should show who you are. Just think about what is most unique about you. We’ve seen sunglasses, handcuffs, engagement rings, and bunnies. Nothing is out of bounds.
EMBRACE
Embrace the persona you have given yourself and don’t allow the other inmates to rob you of that. Anything you do from here on out is going to reflect who you are or are not.
With these tips and strategies you are now prepped for the perfect mug shot. We look forward to working with each and everyone of you to make your C-Block Escape Experience as authentic as possible…starting with the perfect mug shot. See you on the inside Nashville.

Great Life Above The Rim
A high school basketball player is taking Chattanooga by storm.
Abdulhakim Ado is from Nigeria and plays for a small private school - Hamilton Heights Christian Academy.
Basketball has been his ticket to a world of new opportunities.
Ado is 6' 10 and spends most of his time above the rim when the Hawks play other schools. He arrived at Hamilton Heights after experiencing adversity in his homeland.
He explained, When I was pretty much I was six, that's when my dad died, so he left us. He left us when I was six, that was '02. My mom decided that we needed to leave the area we were.
Abdul, as his teammates call him, said it was a rough neighborhood, but basketball has been a saving grace. Because it's life. Basketball, I mean it's everything. It helped me from the stress my mom had with me. It really helped me. Also, a couple of attitudes, I used to have attitude. Basketball really helped me.
He's only been playing for about three years, but has really grown as a shot blocker. It helps that he has a 7'5 wingspan. It's really fun when you block somebody and you look them like straight in the eyes. He continued, Actually it's something I learned when I started playing basketball. That was the first thing I learned because when somebody shoots the ball and I swat it, the whole crowd goes excited, so I just decided to keep blocking shots.
But it's not just about him. His coach, Zach Ferrell, said he's a phenomenal kid and player, who's selfless. Ferrell described him, He wants none of the spotlight, wants his teammates to shine.
Hamilton Heights is independently accredited and registered with the U.S. Immigration Department. Most of their players are international.
Nigeria and eastern European countries have proven fertile. Once in the states, they live in a dorm at Tennessee Temple or with a host family.
Abdul is very appreciative of his opportunity in America. It sure will help take me to different places in life, like my education peers, how I treat people, how I react when I have hard times.
Right now, it looks like very good times. He said, by God's grace, he'll play in the NBA.
Coach Ferrell said at least 10 colleges, including Tennessee, Georgia, Vanderbilt and Louisville, have already offered Ado. Several others have shown interest. Ferrell said most services have him ranked in the Top 25 players nationwide and as a Top 5 center.
Ado said he will make his decision when he becomes a senior.
Until then, he'll keep playing the game he loves.
