Today is a travel day in England, we're taking a London to Southampton train for a cruise in a few days time. We didnt imagine being back in the United Kingdom would include a visit to Southampton - but being such a massive cruise port it does... and we're so excited!

Getting to Southampton from London on the train was actually crazy simple, England really has things running smoothly in terms of public transport. Probably also helps that so many people from around the United Kingdom (and more) visit Southampton for a cruise, so there were loads of different options.
The train appeared to be the fastest and most chill though, we love being able to sit back and take it easy on a travel day.

Uh yeah, now time for a wild-card upload! I choose to upload a show from the We Can't Dance/The Way We Walk era, and it's got to be Southampton 1992 wich is a great recording of a show wich i generally like. Most people out there know that this is one of my least favourite Genesis tours (due the setlist, Tony's keyboards and Phil not being 100% on every show) but recently i received this concert in particular, listened to it and....damn, i enjoyed it! The best thing about it is that the band revisited The Carpet Crawlers (for the first time since Birmingham 1984) and it's QUITE a good performance! The rest of the show is very good as well, with a great interaction of Phil with the crowd (this and other shows from the UK leg were done on small theaters, the band possibly was getting tired by playing on such great venues and wanted to have more intimate atmospheres for a once)! About Phil's voice, he's in decent shape, but most of the higher notes (above G4) are quite a strain to him for the most part of the evening. At least he improves a bit as the set goes on (although his phrasing on Turn It On Again is quite questionable). The recording is in really good audio quality but it's a bit incomplete (it starts on No Son Of Mine and it has some cuts throghout, but i guess the band for some reason played a shortened set). Well, enjoy the show!
