Colorado Vlog | Broomfield 9/11 Memorial
Broomfield, CO is one of the few (only?) areas in the state with a dedicated site specific to 9/11. It's located on the east side of the Broomfield Community Park (and the pond). There's a piece of steel from the Twin Towers within the monument as well. As far as I know, Broomfield is one of the few (the only?) places in the state with a dedicated memorial spot to 9/11. The path around the pond is paved and a flat, easy walking route that includes sculptures, benches, and the amphitheater. Music Credit: Piano Instrumental by No Choise

911 Ceremony
The ceremony to honor those who's lives were lost on September 11th, 2001 at the Englewood Public Library in Englewood, NJ and the poem As the sun rises Original Poem by Christopher C. Gagliardi
& Lynda Grace Monahan-Gagliardi. If you cannot hear it, we have the poem up on the screen.
As the sun rises
Original Poem by Christopher C. Gagliardi
& Lynda Grace Monahan-Gagliardi
One morning,
As I awakened from my long eternal sleep,
From the dark abyss of the night of sorrow,
I went to my window and Lo, I witnessed
The sun rising.
As the sun rose,
I saw the grains of freedom and abundant hope,
Harvested with the warm threshold of unity,
The sun beating down upon me coating my tears and sweat of heartache and transforming them into triumph and joy!
As the sun rose,
I felt the strong breeze of hope that cooled my fire of rage from within my heart and from within my body,
Cooling the scorched pains of injustices that were done
As the sun rose, as the sun rose!
As the sun rose,
I saw before my eyes a vast ocean,
An ocean that shall move the youth and the future
Forward towards harmony,
Of harmony, pride, determination & justice again,
A new change in our thinking, A new change in our doing and
A new change in communicating
As the sun rose
So there will never ever be a sunset of injustice
Only a sunset of promise and a sunrise of tomorrow!
As the sun rose
I awakened
To the sound of the universe that said: Good morning world here we are!
Our sorrows are never ending,
Yet we can move ahead towards brighter days, and better tomorrows
For we can see that
As the sun rises!
