Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Groundbreaking July 14, 2017
Khmer Americans on bike trail in Lowell, MA.
In late Spring 2019, we spent a few afternoon hours riding along the Bruce Freeman Rail trail which spans approximately 11.7 miles or 18.8 km at present (25 miles or 40 km when completed), across about 8 cities from Lowell to Framingham in the state of Ma, USA. The trail is still under construction; we made only about 1/2 of the way, enjoying spectacular scenery the nature offers on both sides of the path - tall trees, shrubs, lakes, streams, recreation areas, nice breeze in a warm 87 F weather, serenity, etc... A very good experience.

Bruce Freeman Railtrail April 2014 virtual cycling bike training
No audio. About 15 mph average speed. This is the closest trail to my house so you'll probably be seeing a lot of it. On this particular day the parking lot closest to the trail head was closed for clean up. This was probably the best shoot I've had on the BFRT so far. Great weather, good trail conditions.
Small favor to ask by the way: WATCH THE ADS. If you just sit through the ads at the beginning of my videos I actually get a little bit of the money back that I'm spending doing this stuff. That means I can keep doing this stuff without my wife going Hon, why don't you just join a gym? Thank-you.
Epic D1 Stealth Cam - Bruce Freeman Rail Trail
Test run with Epic D1 Stealth Cam mounted to center of handlebars on a bicycle. The ride starts near Chelmsford Center and finishes at the current trail end in Carlisle. Some beautiful New England scenery including a slightly visible guest appearance by a deer! June 11, 2014 just before dusk/sunset. Sorry for the shaky image, a different mounting location would probably have worked better.

To my subscribers who normally check this page for virtual cycling rides there's two notes here. (1) Sorry about the dust speck. (2) This video was shot mainly with the intent of helping the Lowell, MA commuter cycling population look at and try to address areas in need of improvement, so it isn't quite as scenic as some of the rail trails I shoot. Thank-you.
