How Expensive is Trekking in Nepal? Practical Trekking Information
Best short treks in Nepal (No Permit, No Guide pt1)
Best short trek in Nepal vlog part 1 is about going from Pokhara to Australian Camp. It is an awesome hike that will give you the chance to see some of the most beautiful peaks of the Himalaya mountains such as Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain), Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.
One of the shortest and best treks starting from Pokhara (and without needing a permit) is the Pokhara-Australian Camp-Dhampus-Pokhara with a few possible itinerary variations. It is also a low budget hike that can take one or two days. Best would be to spend the night in the Australian Camp and walk down to Pokhara the next morning. This is what I did. Early mornings give more chances for clear skies sometimes even in the raining season. That's one reason to spend the night on the mountain.
There are a few ways to go up and down. Going up by taxi is the fastest followed by a bus (towards Baglung) that will drop you off at Kande (pronounced Khare). As far as walking down the hill the most scenic and easiest way would be via Lakeside and it can take up to 8 hours depending on the route.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek Without Guide - E02 | Chomrong to MBC | Budget, Accommodation, Route
Hello People! This is the second part of the 3 episode series on ABC (Annapurna Base Camp). It will help you from Chomrong to MBC (Machapuchare Base Camp) along with details regarding accommodation and route map. I have also talked about the cost we incurred in Chomrong and further.
My total spendings on ABC were approx. NPR 20k and we managed to do it without any guide or a porter. So yes, going here alone or without a guide is possible.
Some details regarding the cost are given below -
1. Permits: TIMS card can be purchased in Kathmandu and Pokhra for NPR 1,000
2. Stay in Chomrong: NPR 1,530 per person that includes room cost, WiFi, charging sockets, hot shower, breakfast, dinner, tea, etc. Yes we ate a lot xD
3. Stay in Himalaya: NPR 1,300 per person that includes room cost, WiFi, charging sockets, hot shower, breakfast, dinner, tea, etc. Yes we ate a lot here as well :P
4. Maps.Me, an offline map, is the most useful app if you are planning to do this trek on your own
5. Lunch: Dal Bhat is a must
6. Carry a tiffin box and also a water bottle, instead of buying plastic bottles. Please keep Nepal clean :)

BUDGET:
TIMS Permit - 2000 rupees ($20 USD)
ANCAP Entry Fee - 1000 rupees ($10 USD)
Accommodation -
This will be more expensive as you ascend in altitude. It will also depend on seasonal price fluctuations and whether or not you share the room. For me as a solo trekker in a private room/tent - roughly 250-1000 rupees per night ($5-10 USD) Total accommodation costs for me: $34 USD
Food:
This will also be more expensive as you ascend in altitude. I spent the following:
Aus Camp - Lunch & Coffee $8
Forest Camp - D, B, - $20
Middle Camp - L, D, B - $25
High Camp - L, D, B L - $45
Siding - D, B - $20
Transport:
Bus to Kande: 150 rupees ($1.5 USD)
Shared Jeep Siding - Pokhara 3500 Rupees ($35)
My Total:
$213 USD

Hi guys my name is Chase Tucker and I'm a online personal trainer, trek leader and creator of Base Camp Training and this YouTube channel Chase Mountains.
I created this channel to share what I've learnt over a short lifetime of loving the wilderness and what it has to offer. I'm passionate about preparing people, fitness wise, to have a great time in the mountains and to show them that it's worth preserving for the future.
In this video I review one of my favourite treks in Nepal, the Mardi Himal Trek. It is one of the greatest short treks in Nepal. I would say that the climb to the Upper View Point is one of the best hikes in the world! I had a great time on the trek in October 2018 and I'm super happy to do this trek review!

Seven Places For Hiking Around Kathmandu
There are many beautiful places in Nepal that you haven’t visited yet. Hiking simply means walking for hours and hours, enjoying each trail and it is a journey that adds joy in your boring life. Being limited inside your home or at your office room will make your life dull. You may be leading a busy life and couldn’t get holidays for traveling. But then, there are few places that will make your journey memorable. You shouldn’t allocate more time for the sake of hiking.
If you are from Kathmandu, do read it once. This time we are focusing on hiking places within Kathmandu.
TREKKING KATHMANDU - NAGARKOT / NEPAL

Nepal is the country of trekking and we couldn't leave without making one. Our budget was very low so we couldn't afford to do Annapurna or Poon Hill. But we discovered that from Kathmandu you can do one that lasts 3 or 4 days, direction Nagarkot.
This small mountain village is very visited by tourists, because from there you can appreciate the highest peaks of the Himalayas. They say sunrises and sunsets are incredible. Unfortunately we arrived in the rainy season so we only saw clouds.

Budget trekking to annapurna
It is one of the easy ,short and best destination of Nepal which is situated to the west of Kathmandu ,there are so many big mountains in a range including 7th highest mountain in the world called Dhaulagiri(8167meters), so once you are there you get to see so many different things beside snow cap mountains.
SHOULD YOU BUY TREKKING ITEMS IN NEPAL? (FAKE MARKET)
You will find many trekking items in stores when you travel to Nepal. I visited many in Kathmandu and Pokhara and found some to be good value and some not so good and slightly overpriced. In this video I share some tips and advice on buying items in Nepal. Thanks for watching!

Day 1| BEST TREK Around KATHMANDU | Awesome Day of EPIC ft Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures
Trekking in Nepal. I wanted to squeeze in a short trek around Kathmandu. I did the Kopasi- Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome trekking day in Nepal. It is a popular two day trek around Kathmandu Valley. Our start is located 2 hours east of downtown Kathmandu. Our first day's goal ends in Dhulikhel.
I did a shout out to my good friend Nabaraj, who runs his own trekking and tour company. He gave me a customized tour so I could film the valley and village life- I love filming human stories. I wanted epic scenery but also wanted to see village culture and lifestyles. But this trek surpassed my wildest expectations and you’ll see why.
Trivia: initially Nabaraj sold me my very first trekking tour a decade ago when he was just 19 years old and worked for another company. I’m honored to be taking one of his Kathmandu trekking tours! My first trek was Bhaktapur to Nagarkot, which is another top trek around Kathmandu as well.
