Buffalo is the second largest city in the U.S. state of New York and the largest city in Western New York. As of July 2016, the population was 256,902. The city is the county seat of Erie County, and a major gateway for commerce and travel across the Canada–United States border, forming part of the bi-national Buffalo Niagara Region.
The Buffalo area was inhabited before the 17th century by the Native American Iroquois tribe and later by French settlers. The city grew significantly in the 19th and 20th centuries as a result of immigration, the construction of the Erie Canal and rail transportation, and its close proximity to Lake Erie. This growth provided an abundance of fresh water and an ample trade route to the Midwestern United States while grooming its economy for the grain, steel and automobile industries that dominated the city's economy in the 20th century. Since the city's economy relied heavily on manufacturing, deindustrialization in the latter half of the 20th century led to a steady decline in population. While some manufacturing activity remains, Buffalo's economy has transitioned to service industries with a greater emphasis on healthcare, research and higher education, which emerged following the Great Recession.
Buffalo is on the eastern shore of Lake Erie, at the head of the Niagara River, 16 miles south of Niagara Falls. Its early embrace of electric power led to the nickname The City of Light. The city is also famous for its urban planning and layout by Joseph Ellicott, an extensive system of parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, as well as significant architectural works. Its culture blends Northeastern and Midwestern traditions, with annual festivals including Taste of Buffalo and Allentown Art Festival, two professional sports teams (Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres), and a music and arts scene.

The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that usually has six strings.[1] It is typically played with both hands by strumming or plucking the strings with either a guitar pick or the finger(s)/fingernails of one hand, while simultaneously fretting (pressing the strings against the frets) with the fingers of the other hand. The sound of the vibrating strings is projected either acoustically, by means of the hollow chamber of the guitar (for an acoustic guitar), or through an electrical amplifier and a speaker.

The skyscrapers of New York
SUMMARY
This melodrama was filmed during the actual construction of a skyscraper in New York City, and includes several scenes of real work crews: a line of bricklayers [Frame: 1773 (part 1)], a man heating rivets in a forge [2459 (part 1)], riveters assembling steel girders [2859 (part 1)], men astride the steel framework maneuvering and setting a girder in place [3930 (part 1)], and a group of men descending on a crane line [5912 (part 1)]. The story involves a construction foreman who fires one of his crew for fighting, which leads the disgruntled employee to steal. He causes the blame to be put on the foreman, who is finally exonerated when the thief is exposed. All of this conflict is woven in and around the actual construction of the building as the work is in progress. There is even one scene of a hand-to-hand fight between the foreman and the villain that takes place on the unprotected ledge of the steel framework of the building. Some New York City landmarks seen in the film include Union Square (between Broadway and 4th Avenue, 14th-17th Street), and the Everett House, opposite the northeast corner of the square at 17th St. and 4th Avenue [1056 (part 1)]. The film includes the original AM&B title frames at head of film [0105-0272].

USA: NEW YORK: CONSTRUCTION WORKERS STAGE PROTEST
English/Nat
Tens of thousands construction workers strangled the morning rush-hour in downtown Manhattan on Tuesday.
The marchers were protesting about the awarding of a non-union contract for a transit project in New York.
Watched by mounted police in riot gear, they spilled onto Fifth Avenue, blowing whistles, waving flags and chanting.
Pedestrian and motor traffic came to a standstill as huge demonstration marched near Grand Central Station toward a construction site at 54th Street and Ninth Avenue.
But police blocked them from going further, prompting some bottle throwing.
Many protesters carried banners identifying themselves as masons, carpenters, roofers and other construction traders.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
It's a taxpayer issue. They don't train their people. They'll take somebody off the street and they will make him a labourer. The next day they will make him an electrician, the next day they will make him a tin knocker. We go to school for five years to learn our trade. You get your dollars for it. They are paying the same rate that they have to pay for us. They might as well get somebody who has been trained to the do the job. We want a fair bank for our dollars. These people don't have any training, don't have any responsibility.
SUPER CAPTION: Tom Tighe, Union Worker, Local 9-Plumbers and Pipe fitters
City authorities said the crowd numbered about 40-thousand at its peak.
Some shops and offices were forced to open late because their employees couldn't get to work through the crowd.
The demonstrators accused the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) of awarding work to a contractor who used non-union help.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
It's all City money being used. Taxpayers money - my money. And I have got to feed my family and everything.
SUPER CAPTION: Bob Carroll, Union Worker, Local 46 - Ironworker
Scores of police vans and horses were at the scene and police helicopters hung overhead.
As the march grew more rowdy, more than 100 police in riot gear began cutting through the noisy, chanting mob on Ninth Avenue.
Some of them said police used pepper spray and mace before handcuffing them and putting them in a police van.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
The horses stormed in to move everybody out of the street and, I don't know - they just started spraying and swinging night sticks and getting everybody out of the street. One cop was pushing me. I told him to get off me - don't touch me - and he took out his mace and sprayed me in the eyes.
SUPER CAPTION: Steven Archipinti, Union Worker, Local 2287
Many businesses and offices near the demonstration opened late because of the crowds and police blocked workers from entering their buildings.
More than 20 minor injuries were reported.
A half-dozen protesters were arrested.

Accent Tag: Rochester NY
I decided to do this thing called the Accent Tag (out of boredom and pure curiosity) to see how bad my Rochester, NY accent is. I never really thought that I had that much of an accent until I became an exchange student in France and started getting teased by my other English-speaking exchange friends.
Anyways, here is the list of everything!
The Words:
Aunt, Roof, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught, Naturally, Aluminium, Envelope
The Questions:
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider (or spider-like creature) that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?

Make Rings out of Coins
This is the first coin ring I ever made, and from there, I got kind of a bug. With this method, expensive jewelers tools can be substituted with simple ambition. A great place to start with coin rings
Is making coin rings illegal?
Make a Double Sided Coin Ring
Making a ring out of 50 cent piece
Mirror Finnish your rings
Is this illegal?
A detailed walk through video on one way to make a Liberty Ring out of a quarter at home with basic hand tools. An average quarter will work too. Your girl will part with her most expensive rings, before she parts with this one. That is if she's truly into you. A gold digger won't find it so cool. P.S. this is my first try at this, so bare with me. This video is not about the quality of the final product, just the techniques used to form out a ring. You can get as meticulous as you'd like. This ring turned out to be a size 5 and a half. Watch my half dollar vid (linked above) to see a larger, thicker ring.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury own website Home » Resource Center » FAQs » Coins » Portraits & Designs.. bottom of the page. Is it illegal to damage or deface coins?-This statute means that you may be violating the law if you change the appearance of the coin and fraudulently represent it to be other than the altered coin that it is. As a matter of policy, the U.S. Mint does not promote coloring, plating or altering U.S. coinage: however, there are no sanctions against such activity absent fraudulent intent.

David Goggins Net Worth 2018| Motivational Story | 2018 Updates
In our life, we go through the very challenging phase, and sometimes we decide to give up on it by thinking its too hard, but if we get motivation than it will help us to go through any steps in life and achieve our goals. Here we are talking about the most self-motivated person we have ever known, David Goggins.
Born on February 17, 1975, at Buffalo, New York, United States. When he was 8, he and his mother moved to Brazil after getting abused by his father Trunnis Goggins who owned a bar in Buffalo. His mother went to college at the age of 36 and worked three jobs to raise him. Later his mother married Wilmoth and thought life would be happy but unfortunately, his stepfather was shot dead in 1989 by the unknown person who drove into their garage.
During his High School he uses to get bullied by the students and due to that he wouldn't go school, so his grades use to be very poor. At the age of 18 David got a chance to meet his role model who was in Air Force, he got advise to take ASVAB, failed first and second time but got in the third attempt. Goggins dream was to be a Paramilitary Rescuer in which one needs to jump off the helicopter to rescue the downed soldier, but unfortunately, he got a disease named Sickle Cell with this diseases, he couldn't dive. Goggins later became a member of the United State Air Force Tactical Air Control Party (TACP). He then gave time in TACP and left the United State Air Force.
In 2001 Goggins succeeded graduation from BUD/S training with class 235 and assigned to SEAL team FIVE. He completed multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq; he graduated from Army Ranger School with distinction Top Honor Man in 2004. Goggins is the only member in US Army Force to complete SEAL training, Ranger School, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller Training. He has severed for Iraq Prime Minister Ibrahim al- Jaafari as the Bodyguard and he has retired from active duty as a Chief Petty Officer in 2016. After most of his friend died in Helicopter crash in 2005 at Afghanistan during Operation Red Wings, Goggins decided to raise money for Special Operation Warrior Foundation, so he started to participate in long-distance running. All over it has been said that Goggins has raised above 2 million dollar for the Foundation.
To get into Navy he has to lose a lot of weight, he was 297 lbs and had to lose around 106 lbs in 2 months, and his influence is 190 pounds now. He was fired up; he planned to eat very little and drink a lot.
On day one he started to go with around 3 miles run, but he couldn't run after 1/4 miles and walked home, he felt like a failure in every day of his journey, but he has to lose weight to get in Navy SEAL. Than his everyday 1/4 miles was a lesson he learned. Goggins realized that he would go even wrong if that one day of victory he wouldn't try and felt that those horrible days were the best days because he use to wake up every day even more energetic and close to success. He has given every human a moral that To get a success, you need to fail 1000 times and do it for life.
David Goggins,43, the height of 6 ft. is also known as an ultra-marathon runner, ultra-distance cyclist, Triathlete and he has broken the World Record for most pull-ups done in 24 hours, he did unto 4025 pull-ups in 17 hours. Googins Net Worth is still pending, but he has supported the foundation by donation amount to help them.
He usually does not open about his personal life, but he once fell in love with a nurse named Aleeza who has also been a part of his team. They got a secret wedding on 2010, despite being his wife she often gets worried about his painful condition during his race, but can't do anything about it because he does not want to go back in his future where there was a lot of struggle and brutal in his life. Aleeza also said that David always hated running or cycling but he needs to raise money and attention so he motivated no matter how torture he faces he is going to beat it!
Now he is still fit and gives a motivational speech to everyone that how he became worst to worth in his life.

Text description provided by the architects. This residential development consists of a complete gut renovation and new construction behind one of New York’s most beautiful and oldest cast-iron facades. It required a careful approach to the blending of contemporary architecture with historic preservation. New York City’s Landmarks Commission required any rooftop addition to be invisible. The building, however, is located on a highly-visible corner with a low, two-story building across the street. This meant that the building’s roof was visible from almost three blocks away.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine, single-seat, all-metal fighter and ground attack aircraft that first flew in 1938. The P-40 design was a modification of the previous Curtiss P-36 Hawk which reduced development time and enabled a rapid entry into production and operational service. The Warhawk was used by most Allied powers during World War II, and remained in front line service until the end of the war. It was the third most-produced American fighter, after the P-51 and P-47; by November 1944, when production of the P-40 ceased, 13,738 had been built,[3] all at Curtiss-Wright Corporation's main production facilities at Buffalo, New York.
Warhawk was the name the United States Army Air Corps adopted for all models, making it the official name in the United States for all P-40s. The British Commonwealth and Soviet air forces used the name Tomahawk for models equivalent to the P-40B and P-40C, and the name Kittyhawk for models equivalent to the P-40D and all later variants.
P-40s first saw combat with the British Commonwealth squadrons of the Desert Air Force in the Middle East and North African campaigns, during June 1941.[4][5] No. 112 Squadron Royal Air Force, was among the first to operate Tomahawks in North Africa and the unit was the first Allied military aviation unit to feature the shark mouth logo,[6] copying similar markings on some Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 110 twin-engine fighters
