LONDON WALK | Piccadilly incl. the Royal Academy of Arts at Burlington House | England
A first-person perspective London walk tour of Piccadilly, including Burlington House and the Royal Academy of Arts.
See all the sights as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Piccadilly and the Royal Academy of Arts (Burlington House). The route begins across from The Ritz, travelling along Piccadilly, finishing at Piccadilly Circus.
Sights seen along the tour include the Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, statue of Sir Joshua Reynolds, Royal Society Of Chemistry, St James's Piccadilly, City Tour London bus, and Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

LONDON VLOG - MY FIRST VISIT! (ULTIMATE WALKING TOUR!!) | 28-12-2018
The London VLOG is here! This VLOG is my first impression and experience of London!! The journey begins with Robyn and I catching a train from Whitstable to London Victoria station, then jumping on the Tube and getting off at Oxford street.
It was my first time riding the Tube and my very first impression of the craziness of the city was leaving the Tube station and stepping on to Oxford Street. I will never forget that first impression!
Robyn and I continue our walk down Oxford Street where we pass Robyn’s old workplace, Abercrombie & Fitch in Burlington Gardens. For memories sake, we step into her old workplace so she can re-live old memories. We also step into Carnaby Street and check out all of the little boutique shops, including Robyn’s favourite store—Sweaty Betty.
Afterwards, Robyn takes us to Fortnum and Masons where we had our “traditional” carrot cake and coffee. We then venture off to Piccadilly Circus before walking to Hamleys—a giant toy store with 7 levels. We both felt like kids again! It was incredibly busy but had toys of all shapes and sizes.
Eventually, we leave Hamleys and re-visit Leicester Square which I coined as a mini “Time Square of London”. Lastly, we finish our adventures by walking around Covent Garden, having a beer at Chandos, and observing the ice skating at Somerset House.
Unfortunately, we needed to book the ice skating in advance but something we would end up doing early January.
This was my first experience in London and I absolutely loved it. I declared to Robyn at Chandos that I would consider London as a long term base after we finish the bulk of our travel adventures.

Burlington Arcade - Luxury Shopping in London
Burlington Arcade has been a place for Londoners to do their exclusive shopping for almost 200 years. Since its opening in 1819, it has offered luxury items from the small stores in the long and beautiful arcade. This is where Hercule Poirot found clues for his mysteries and the royalty used to shop.

Karen Brown's Burlington House, Oxford, England
This 1889 Victorian merchant's house has been transformed into a delightful bed and breakfast, just a bus ride away from the heart of historic Oxford. Burlington House is impeccably maintained and its rooms are recently refurbished and immaculately decorated to a high standard. Contemporary design, colorful feature walls and designer fabrics, reign throughout. The overall effect is most inviting, uncluttered and functional. The ten guestrooms in the house are supplemented by two across the Japanese-influenced, walled courtyard. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are absolutely modern with power showers, glass, and tile—each one is artfully crafted in the space available. Breakfast is served in the cozy dining room, dominated by its turn-of-the-century German Arts and Crafts dresser, its walls decorated with blue ironstone pottery and large framed prints of exotic fruits. The accent is on freshness, with fresh orange juice, freshly ground and brewed coffee, vine-ripened tomatoes, homemade granola, breads, and live yoghurt direct from the kitchen. Please ask management for suggestions on what to visit in Oxford. Be sure to visit the Cotswolds, Blenheim Palace, Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon.

Burlington Arcade, London.
This is Friday, 4 July, 2014. I am walking in a southerly direction from near the Museum of Mankind to the Piccadilly entrance. This is a prohibitively priced place with everything for persons for whom price is no objection, in other words, the (very) wealthy. I used to work in the book-keeping office of Goldsmiths & Silversmiths on the Arcadefor a few months in 1978. I was (very) unhappy and bored. Accounting is not for me on its own.
I worked here as a clerk for a few not happy months in a counting house above a jewellers'' store.

Chiswick House & Gardens is one of the most magnificent and finest example of neo-Palladian villa, built by the third Earl of Burlington in 1729 to showcase his art collection and to enthral his guests.
The romantic gardens at Chiswick are the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement and have inspired countless gardens including Beinheim Palace and New York's Central Park.
