Bangkok Night walk - Soi 4 Nana
Bangkok Night walk - Soi 4 Nana - Sept 2019
At just after 9pm in September 2019 I did a 'super smooth' walk around the Soi 4 Nana street. Stopping a few times to point out popular restaurants, bars and hotels.

Soi Cowboy Bangkok A GoGo Bars Thailand
Soi Cowboy Bangkok nightlife Thailand 2019. I walk in Soi Cowboy in Bangkok that is the famous bar street with a lot of bars and entertainment in gogo bars in the nighttime. TRY THAI DATING HERE: or here:
If you want to see beautiful Thai ladies in Bangkok this is the place to go in the nighttime. It is very safe and there is security to help you if you have any problems.
Soi Cowboy was named after the cowboy hat-wearing African-American who opened the first bar here in the early 1970s, this red-light district has a more laid-back, carnival-like feel to it than Patpong or Nana Plaza. Flashing neon lights up a colorful streetscape of 20 or so A go-go bars that line its sides.
Don't be shy, it's pretty easygoing and open-minded, entry is always free and drink's prices are fixed. Soi Cowboy is just next to Terminal 21, a very popular new shopping mall, so just cross the street and see it for yourself... or use Terminal 21 as an excuse to have a quick peek. Remember, you might not see this again anywhere else in the world!

Thailand-Bangkok Local Travel by Metro Airport Link, Buses, Cabs - Episode 2-Thailand Series -CTI
So, after getting SIM card at the airport, the first thing we searched was route to the Hostel. Distance was around 15 kilometers and as per :
Grab Cab service: charges were 472 Bhat. Grab cab is a app, which we normally installed before leaving for Bangkok. Its like #Ola and #Uber in India.
Google Map: We also found a mixed route of Metro Airport link and bus service. Metro link is just like Delhi Metro Airport link. The way its connects to the main route of Metro in delhi at New Delhi Metro station, similarly Bangkok Airport link connects at “Phaya Thai” Metro station.
Metro Station at Bangkok Airport: its at the basement of the same airport, we followed the signboards and reached at the metro station, there was no ticket counter, only ticket vending machines. We paid 45 Bhat for each of us boarded the metro.
You can also enjoy the view from the metro window, in the episode 2 of Thailand series titled as “Bangkok Local Transportation System, Metro Airport Link, Local Buses and Google Problem, Cab Service”.
We got down at “Phaya Thai” metro station and reached at the bus stop, under the metro station itself. Our bus number was 45, we kept waiting for 20-30 minutes, then we saw bus number 45 coming. But it raced away leaving us heart broken. It was very surprising why didn’t the bus stop here.
Some more buses like Bus number 203, 501 and few more, supposed to stop at this bus stop, but all of them ran away.
This made us realize, is this really a us stop?
We were standing at the wrong place. A local person said ‘ bus stop is few meters ahead, when we enquired.
We reached at the bus stop and re-confirmed from passengers sitting there. We were at the right place finally.
But the buses, which we were looking for were not stopping here too. Whats Wrong?
We realized one thing that #googlemaps is misguiding us about the bus numbers and bus stops.
I started asking from each bus conductor, about the bus taking us to the address written on the “Hotel Booking” printout we carried from india.
This also didn’t help.
At the end, we booked a Yellow-Green Taxi in 200 Bhat which took us to our hostel location with lots of fun.
Taxi driver name was the sound of Frog, which they make while doing “Boom Boom”.
Don’t you want to know, see episode 2 and episode 3 of “Thailand Series”.
His entertaining interaction was covered in both the episodes. I am sure you all will like that.
About, which hostel we booked where we paid only INR 140 per night per person, that too close to “khaosan Main Street”. Watch episode number 3 of Thailand Series with me .. Bole to Camping Traveller India.

Cheap Electronics, Cameras at MBK Shopping Mall Bangkok, Free Food, Free Bus- Episode 6|Thailand
How I got Free Food, Free Bus Free Boat Journey in Bangkok, Thailand on Day 2 of my Trip
This episode is about how day 2 of my Bangkok Thailand Trip. This is episode 7 of Thailand Series.
I covered my journey from India to Thailand, Local Travel in Thailand, Food, Khaosan Night Life and most beautiful, must visit place in Bangkok “Phera Sumen Fort”. To know about these memorable and full of learning episodes, watch my Thailand Series on my youtube Channel – Camping Traveller India.
As I stated in Episode number 4, that People of Thailand respect their king a lot and this time in may,2019 when I am here, they are celebrating the recarnation ceremony of their 10th King “Rama the 10th”. Its similar the way we celebrate birthday of Gurunanak ji. Free Food and Free sweet water was being offered on the streets. For these 5 days long festival local transportation services like buses and boats were free for everyone including locals and tourists like us.
Initially, I was not aware of it, so it took me a little time to discover this. There are beautiful incidences were happening with be every time, while discovering that the bus services is free.
So, we slept at 3 Am in the morning, because of our night walk at the Khaosan Main Street. So, I got up at 8 AM, and it took me 2 hours to get ready. At 10 AM , when we came out to go to MBK Mall and to see Sea Life Show and Mr. Thompson House which was our day 2 list, we saw everyone walking on the road, no Cars, Tuk-Tuk only local buses and few VIP cars. Everyone was dressed up in Bright Yellow either a T-Shirt or a shirt of similar color, wearing white color dresses at the bottom.
The Moment we reached at the so called bus stop, as directed by Google Map, there was a Food stall, offering Rice, Egg omlate, a Red chilly dish and red and white color Sweet water in plastic bottles.
They were inviting everyone saying ‘Free Food, Free Food, Free Food”.
Plates were there, filled with Rice, Noodles, Omlate. I picked one and received a water bottle from 2nd counter. To see this Thai Food and this arrangement of offering free food, watch this video in Episode 6 of Thailand Series.
There we got a chance to speak other thai peoples. They were cooperative and supportive.
It was a relief to my co travelers, as they could eat rice with chilly curry.
After having Free food, it was the time for Free Bus Ride till MBK Mall. I was not aware of this free ride, I discovered it later while offering Bus Ticket Payment to the Lady working as a conductor.
It also a funny story. Watch episode to enjoy this.
An important information, RED color non AC buses are always free in Bangkok, Thailand.
Finding the right bus and boarding to it was not possible without the help of a local man. We kept waiting for almost an hours, because the Bus number which Google Map was showing, the bus with that number was not stopping at the bus stop, google maps took up.
So, there is a problem with Google Map in Bangkok. Bus Stop Locations and Bus Numbers are not correct. We were not aware of this fact. Later on Youtube comment box, a subscriber mentioned me the name of this app names “Moovit” application to get the right information about Buses, Metros.
So, after walking from one stop to another, we could board a bus with the help of a local person. Thanks to him, else travelling locally, could not have been possible.
Buses, in Bangkok are usually not crowded as in India. So, its comfortable to travel by them. Those who are travelling to Bangkok and wants to save some travelling cost, download the above app and travel by it. It’s a good option for families with kids.
View of Bangkok city were amazing.
After a bus ride of 30-40 minutes, we reached at the bus stop of MBK Mall. It’s a huge mall like Elante in Chandigarh and Ambition Mall in Gurgaon.
It took us a very long time to see all the floors, including Electronics market which is on the 2nd Floor of it.
What I discover, clothes and electronics items are dam cheap here. Giving you an example, which is available in the episode 6 videos as well.
Canon 5D camera without Lenses, its 20,000 i.e. 50,000 INR (our Rate was 1 Bhat – 2.25 INR) Bhat there and online at amazon this camera is available in 1,95,000 INR. Easily anyone can save 1.5 Lakhs on one Camera.
Isn’t it great?
Similarly the clothes, a very good T-Shirt was costing 99 Bhat i.e. 225 INR similar T Shirts or Shirts are available at malls or in brand shops for more than 499 INR.
I also discovered why Thai People are not vegetarian. At the mall, I saw that vegetables and fruits are more costly then Meat.
Will share this information about the life of a vegetarian in Thailand in Episode Number 7 of Thailand Series.
So, wait and watch for this episode

Additional Notes
I always take this cheap bus when I visit Pattaya from central Bangkok. It's fast, efficient and so cheap it's almost free. I've used the service over 30 times in the last few years and highly recommend it to anyone travelling on a budget.
Taxis - Sometimes if I'm visiting Pattaya with friends then it's more practical to take a taxi than the cheap bus. I don't like to prebook Bangkok taxis as you don't know the condition of the car you will be riding in. If you get an old dud then it can be an uncomfortable hour and a half journey. Much better to flag a taxi down at a busy point in Bangkok, making sure it's a newer model of car from the last few years. They usually cost 1000 -1500 baht from central Bangkok.
Vans - You can also go to Pattaya by van from the same Bangkok station in this video. But I never take the vans in Thailand as they often have crazy drivers at the wheel who tailgate and are complete lunatics behind the wheel.
Note: If you are visiting Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi airport then you can get an airport bus direct to Pattaya as documented in this video:
First I had some lunch at the Coffee Club, Ekkamai, then took the cheap bus (108 baht) from central Bangkok to Pattaya. On arriving I took an 80 baht mototaxi from Pattaya bus station to Pattaya Soi 13/4, where I was staying at the Penthouse Hotel close to Walking Street.
NB: The cheap bus is what I nearly always use to get to Pattaya from Bangkok. It used to be called the 'sex tourist express' because it was predominantly older white men who were the customers, nowadays a multitude of demographics take it.
The Bangkok bus station is easy to get to, as it's right by Ekkamai Skytrain station.
The buses leave every 20 or 30 mins depending on how busy they are and the journey takes 2-3 hours depending on the traffic. They run from 5am-11pm every day.
The cost was 108 baht per person at the time the video was made (the price varies due to competition).
An older video I made of the same journey showing the bus station, ticket buying process etc...

Bangkok to Pattaya by Bus 2015 - 119 Baht
Bangkok City Centre to Pattaya by Bus 2015 - 119 Baht
The bus is cheap, clean, safe and fast (2 hours) if you are travelling to Pattaya from the city of Bangkok.
The Bus leaves the Eastern Bus Terminal in Bangkok right next to Ekkamai BTS Station. They go every 30 minutes and drop you off at the Pattaya North bus station. The journey time is 2hrs but on this day it was 2 1/2 due to traffic in Bangkok.
From the Pattaya North Bus Station it is an easy 10-20 baht Baht Bus ride or a motorbike (negotiate price beforehand) to your intended destination. The terminal is also known as Pattaya Roong Ruang Bus Terminal and is good to return to Bangkok this way.
The price on this day was only 119 baht but it can vary due to competition with other transport options.
Note: This is the bus in the past that was affectionately referred to as the 'Sex Tourist Express'. But now it has a mixed bag of customers.

About Pattaya:
Pattaya is located on the eastern side of the Gulf of Thailand, about 120 km from Bangkok. Though best known for its go-go bars and exotic night life, it also boasts a great variety of tropical holiday experiences: water sports, diving, fishing, many excellent golf courses and a good variety of restaurants and shopping areas.
In recent years there has been an extraordinary amount of real-estate development, every bit of spare space being filled with condos, hotels, and, around the lagoon, retirement homes for foreigners.
