Geoje Roadtrip: Pink Muhly Viewing | FAT TIME KOREA 2
Autumn is another season of beautiful colours in Korea. From flowers to grass, sunflowers to pink muhly, you can take the perfect instagram picture!
These pink muhly grass used to only be located in Busan and Gyeongju. However, over the years its gained popularity and there are many places all over Korea you can observe them. Since I actually have never been to Geoje (even though it's literally next door to Tongyeong), my coworkers and I decided to go on a little road trip before I left Korea. How sweet!
Geoje has some beautiful beaches and mountains to hike. There is also a must see castle called 매미성. The man built it all by himself, brick by brick after a typhoon hit his home. He wanted to built this castle to protect this home- Geoje. We didn't have time to go to Mae-mi Castle, but if you get the chance to visit Geoje, you must go!
During the Korean War, many prisoners were sent to the POW camp in Geoje. Now it has been remodeled into a monumental pear park for visitors to learn about the history and give respects to those.

Jangsan Peak Vista and Panoramic View - Busan, South Korea
This view to the south from Busan's Jangsan Peak includes the Asiad Stadium (built for the 2002 Football Worldcup) on the far right and Songjeong Beach on the far left. This view encompasses almost every major landmark in Busan including the Nakdong River, Taejongdae, Igidae Park, Gwangalli Beach (and bridge), Centum City, Dongbaek, Haeundae Beach, and Dalmaji Hill (viewing the image right-to-left). Although Jangsan Peak is Busan's third largest mountain (next to the second tallest Baekyangsan Peak and the tallest Geumjeongsan Montain, which is home to the famous Beomeosa Temple) it is arguably the best situated of the mountains. As such, Jangsan is Busan's most popular mountain to hike.
The trail systems leading up to Jangsan Peak offer every type of terrain and can be quite steep at times. There are waterfalls, temples, wide-open meadows, boulder fields, and a number of mountain restaurants where you can eat dubu kimchee and pajeon and also drink soju and makgeolli (always a highlight of hiking in Korea).

South Korea's Famous PENIS Park - Haesindang Park
Korea has a famous Penis Park, known as Haesindang Park on the east coast of South Korea, and all of the penis sculptures are there for a reason. They are a gift to the fish gods to ensure the return of the fish after a local woman died at sea and the fish disappeared.

To celebrate Memorial Day in Korea, Jo and I traveled south to the Port City of Busan. It was our first time on Korea's high speed express train, the KTX. To mark this journey, I attached my GoPro camera to the window and let it capture an image every 5 seconds the entire trip.

Busan, South Korea city tour
There are slides of Busan harbour, Haeundae Beach, Nurimaru Apec House, Yongdusan Park, Haedong Yonggungsa, Busan Tower, Oryukdo Island, Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, etc.
Busan is South Korea's second largest city after Seoul, with a population of approximately 3.6 million. The population of the metropolitan area, including the adjacent cities of Gimhae and Yangsan, is approximately 4.6 million. The city is located on the southeastern-most tip of the Korean peninsula.
Located within South Korea's largest industrial area, The Southeast Economic Zone, the city is the cultural, educational and economic center of the region. It is the largest port city in South Korea and the world's fifth busiest seaport by cargo tonnage. The most densely built up areas of the city are situated in a number of narrow valleys between the Nakdong River and the Suyeong River, with mountains separating most of the districts. Administratively, it is designated as a Metropolitan City. The Busan metropolitan area is divided into 15 major administrative districts and a single county.
Busan was the host city of the 2002 Asian Games and the APEC 2005 Korea. It was also one of the host cities for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and is a center for international conventions in Korea. On November 14, 2005, the city authorities officially announced its bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics Games. After Pyeongchang's successful bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics, Busan is considering bidding to host the 2028 or 2032 Summer Olympics.
Busan has Korea's largest beach and longest river, and is home to the world's largest department store, the Shinsegae Centum City.
