VLOG# 10: My First Pool Tournament Experience in Las Vegas
I took Lexi to experience her first Pool Tournament at Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, NV. It was the 2017 TAP National Championships. People came from all over the United states and Canada. We were there for 3 of the 5 days the event took place. On the first day, I tried to sign her up for Mini tournaments that they held but was denied because she had to have at least 8 matches recorded under TAP sanctioned games. She absolutely had no chance of even winning one game but I wanted her to have the experience of playing in a tournament.
On day two is when we met guy that goes by the name of Little Mike. I watched him play once at the Las Vegas APA Masters League and I thought he was absolutely awesome. We talked to him and he was one of the nicest guy you can meet. Mike gave a few tips and played with Lexi. She is now a big Mike fan. We followed him from his first match and recorded every game he played. Stay tuned on FaDa Vlogs channel for his videos and see how far he gets in the National Championship 8 ball singles tournament. This guy is incredible!

The Vegas Golden Knights trademark request was denied by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on Wednesday, due to a “likelihood of confusion” with the registered mark of The College of Saint Rose. The school, located in Albany, New York, uses the Golden Knights nickname. The U.S. Army’s parachute unit goes by the same name. The team will continue to sell merchandise as it prepares its response to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which must be filed by June 7.
A Las Vegas man has been ordered to serve 28 years to life in prison for fatally stabbing his ex-wife in front of their children. James Joyce pleaded guilty in September to murder with use of a deadly weapon. Joyce’s children were 16 and 11 at the time of the October 2014 killing.
And two men accused of running a phony Uber leasing company have been indicted on theft and securities fraud charges, according to the Nevada attorney general's office on Wednesday. Shane Allan Unruh and Brian James Oney are accused of persuading seven people to buy 25 cars on personal credit under the guise that their company U.B.R. Leasing was affiliated with the ride-sharing company Uber Technologies. The purchase prices averaged about $30,000.

1932 Otis (mb. Schindler) Elevator at the Hotel Apache in Las Vegas, NV
This is known to be the oldest elevator in Las Vegas, however these sources most likely aren't true. The elevator at the Sagev Hotel is older than this one, although it isn't working. The call station(s) and C.O.Ps of this elevator were replaced VERY recently. However the cabin is still original. This elevator is from 1932. But has been modernized most likely in the 1960's, according to the former call station(s). The Hotel Apache is located in the Binion's Casino. It's GREAT to see this elevator in working condition!! It has been modernized by Schindler BUT, still has loads of character!! Enjoy!!!
