En la segunda entrega de Vida de Bares visitamos el Café Central, lugar mítico y sitio de referencia para el jazz. Situado en la plaza del Ángel de Madrid, las paredes de este lugar transpiran música e historias que contar. Conocemos el lugar que vio a Tete Montoliú tocar un mes entero, o a George Adams & Don Pullen Quartet, entre otros muchos.

Captured by an audience member (who just happened to be the renowned actor Clarke Peters) on a camcorder, November 16, 2001. This rough guerilla style footage captures a great night of music in the Cafe Central. The core of the band featured Ben Sidran on piano and vocals, Bob Malach on saxophone, Billy Peterson on bass and Leo Sidran on drums. Special guest performances by Joy Dragland and Gege Telesforo.

Peligra la continuidad del Café Central de Madrid
Fundado en 1982, en pleno Mundial de España, el Café Central está considerado como uno de los mejores locales de jazz del mundo, por el que han pasado más de 10.000 músicos. El 31 de diciembre acaba su contrato de alquiler y su continuidad está en peligro por la fuerte subida del arrendamiento.
