Portugal, Porto Cafe Ambience / Studying, Relaxing / Ambient Sound #168
Hello Everyone!
Do you know a city called Porto in Portugal?
I've traveled to Porto a few times.
I liked this city so much that I stayed there for a long time.
Porto is a small but beautiful city.
It was a place full of warmth.
Today, I’m going to deliver the atmosphere of the cafe in Porto. While staying in Porto, I stopped by the cafe twice a day and took a break, read a book, and worked. I was able to concentrate.
I'm going to try to make sound with my favorite cities.
I hope you will feel the atmosphere there and be helpful when you study or work.
Please, Don’t forget to subscribe and thumbs up. :)
Thank you always.❤️

Majestic Cafe in Porto
This Oporto landmark is an essential stop in the city. It is known throughout Portugal, and is also listed among Europe's top historical coffeehouses (as well as one of the world's top 10 most beautiful cafés).
It was born with the name Elite, which was soon changed to Majestic. Its beautiful decoration justifies the second name: mirrors, cherubs, chandeliers, marble, and wood. It was once the meeting place for artists and politicians, and is still today often visited by illustrious figures.
It also serves lunches.
Café Santiago, Clérigos Tower, and Awesome Street Music in Porto, Portugal
Video Shot on December 29th, 2018
On our second day in Porto we decided to test the all the commotion about Café Santiago and their famous Francesinha. From the very first bite we could tell there was a difference in quality and ingredients. The meat was more tender and juicier. The gravy had much more flavor as well. When it comes down to it, it's not a fancy type of meal. It's a meal that will fill you up and you'll be glad you're walking all of Porto. We only needed a light meal during the evening after eating the Francesinha at noon. We also needed this meal after climbing all the stairs in the Clérigos Tower. From the tower you can get a beautiful 360 view of the city. The church itself is also a museum and you can get many different views of the main part of the church.
There was so much fabulous street music in Porto. Unfortunately I could capture and show every performance you, but the ones that really stood out are here in this video. Probably the best music and which really fit the mood for the day were these five young boys playing what seemed to be traditional Portuguese music. If you happen to know the music please share below!

We have been spending some time in the city of Porto, Portugal and to be honest we have been blown away by what you can get in terms of food for 6€! You get a full meal with wine & desert & café in a local restaurant. Now it's not going to be ultra refined cuisine but it is exactly what you want to try when travelling to Porto in order to experience the local cuisine.
- The First restaurant is actually no where listed on Google Maps... it is located 2 mn walk from a café called Epoca (where we got the 2 cakes). For 6€ one person got: soup + fish & side + wine (0,25l) + café + fruit or desert of the day.
- Cakes café was called Epicure. They also make their own bread which supposely delicious!
- Wine tasting in Porto - we went to try Port Wine at Burmeister. Super friendly guide. 10€ per person for tour + 2 wines. 15€ for 4 wines.
- Diner time. Local restaurant serving fish. You can have bacalhau and many other local dishes. Make sure the bacalhau has soaked long enough in the water - the server will tell you. Our dinner for four people ended up being 28€. See name & local in blog post. (Trina has it)

Cafe Majestic, (Porto, Portugal)
Entering through the doors of the Café Majestic, diners are transported back to the Belle Époque period of the 1920s when the café opened its door's, with its marble walls, ornate cherubs, and gilded mirrors.
In its heyday, intellectuals, bohemians, and Porto's high society all met at this café, located on the Rua de Santa Catarina, a pedestrian street that is at the heart of the city's main shopping area. Today, locals and tourists gather to sip their morning espresso, have their afternoon tea and rabanadas (a Portuguese version of French toast), or enjoy a traditional dish of Bacalhau á moda do Porto over a leisurely dinner. Bom apetite!
