58.2 Acre Wooded Peninsula on Trinity Lake bordering the Shasta-Trinity National Forest on all sides of the property.
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is the largest National Forest in California. It encompasses more than 2,210,000 Acres and includes Trinity Lake, the Trinity Alps and Mount Shasta with an elevation of 14,179 feet.
This one-of-a-kind property puts you in the center of abundant fishing, hunting, outdoor recreation and water sports.
Trinity Lake consists of 17,280 surface Acres, is 19 miles in length and there are 145 miles of shoreline. The maximum depth is 416 feet.
Trinity Lake is known for having calm and ‘glassy’ waters, which make it ideal for water sports such as water skiing and wakeboarding. It was previously known as Clair Engle Lake and is sometimes still presented as such on some maps.
Trinity Lake is a great area to relax and has fish for every kind of angler. Fish included here are Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Kokanee Salmon, the landlocked Chinook (King) Salmon, White Catfish, Brown Bullhead, and Sunfish.
Trinity Lake also holds the California state record for Smallmouth Bass, weighing in at 9lbs 1oz, as well as the state record for Brown Bullhead, which was 4lbs 8oz.

In addition to the recreation offered on the lake, this land is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is a diverse area for wildlife and nature alike - according to the USDA Forest Service, this forest contains around 35 different species of trees and is mentioned to be a great area for deer & bear hunting.
The property is in Hunting Zone B2. Here are the various online resources we have gathered regarding hunting in Shasta-Trinity National Forest:
The opportunity for recreation in the area is endless. The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is also a well known area by many Mushroom hunters who enjoy to find their own fresh Mushrooms to pick.

Commercial Licenses for Mushroom Hunting are also available.
In addition to those seeking fresh mushrooms, there also claims to be opportunity for those seeking places to prospect for gold in the area.
The property is in California Gold Region 6.
Due to the many gulches in the area where water runs off of the mountains into the Trinity Lake, this is said to be a very productive area for placer deposits.
Last but not least, the area is thriving with peaks big and small for trailblazers of all experience levels.
To the Northwest, in the Trinity Alps, you’ll find Gibson Peak, Siligo Peak, Granite Peak, Black Mountain, Caribou Mountain, Sawtooth Mountain, Mount Hilton and Thompson Peak.

Hiking and Exploring Mount Diablo State Park
Join me on a trip to Mt Diablo where I drive up to the higher summit, take in the spectacular views and then I hike from the west peak to the east peak and back. This was an amazing hike and one of the most scenic I've ever done.
Mount Diablo is located next to Walnut Creek, California in Contra Costa County in the Coast Range of Northern California and situated in the East Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area.
FROM WIKIPEDIA:
Mount Diablo is a mountain of the Diablo Range, in Contra Costa County of the eastern San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California. It is south of Clayton and northeast of Danville.
It is an isolated upthrust peak of 3,849 feet (1,173 m), visible from most of the San Francisco Bay Area. Mount Diablo appears from many angles to be a double pyramid and has many subsidiary peaks, the largest and closest of which is the other half of the double pyramid, North Peak, nearly as high in elevation at 3,557 feet (1,084 m) and about a mile northeast of the main summit.
The peak is in Mount Diablo State Park, a state park of about 20,000 acres (8,000 ha). The park was the first public open space of a complex—according to Save Mount Diablo—now including 38 preserves, including nearby city open spaces, regional parks, watersheds, that are buffered in some areas with private lands protected with conservation easements. Preserved lands on and around Mount Diablo total more than 90,000 acres (36,000 ha). The day use fee per vehicle for the park is by entrance way: $6 via Macedo Ranch (Danville) or Mitchell Canyon (Clayton), and $10 via South Gate Rd. (Danville) & North Gate Rd. (Walnut Creek) leading up Mount Diablo.
On a clear day the Sierra Nevada is plainly visible. The best views are after a winter storm; a snowy Sierra shows up better, and summer days are likely to be hazy. Lassen Peak, 181 miles (291 km) away, is occasionally just visible over the curve of the earth.[5][6] Sentinel Dome in Yosemite National Park is visible,[7] but Half Dome is hidden by the 8000-foot ridge at 37.755N 119.6657W. Eight bridges are visible, from west to east: San Mateo, Bay, Golden Gate, San Rafael, Carquinez, Benicia, Antioch, and Rio Vista.
Claims that the mountain's viewshed is the largest in the world—or second largest after Mount Kilimanjaro—are ill founded. It does boast one of the largest viewsheds in the Western United States and played a key role in California history. Countless peaks in the state are taller, but Mount Diablo has a remarkable visual prominence for a mountain of such low elevation. Its looming presence over much of the bay area, delta, and Central Valley, and good visibility even from the Mother Lode, all key regions during the gold rush and early statehood, made it an important landmark for mapping and navigation. The summit is used as the reference datum for land surveying in much of northern California and Nevada.

4. Gorder’s Gold
The California Gold Rush took place between 1848 to 1855. Over 300,000 prospectors were part of the phenomenon, flocking to California from all over the world. One of these people was a Frenchman named Henry Gordierr. After finding a sizeable amount of gold, Gordier knew he no longer wanted to keep mining. In 1857, he purchased land in Honey Lake Valley, California and lived out his days as a rancher. Then, all of a sudden, he disappeared, and three strange men occupied the house instead. They told everyone that Gordier went back to France, but when Gordier’s body turned up in the Susan River, police arrested the men. Two were hanged, one vanished. With that last man went Gordier’s $40,000 worth of gold, which now would be worth over $1.1 million.
3. Forrest Fenn’s Hidden Trove
Forrest Fenn was an author, art dealer, and former pilot. After he retired from the United States Air Force, he became interested in owning art galleries and eventually opened Fenn Galleries with his wife. They later sold the gallery after Fenn’s retirement. When he became terminally ill, Fenn decided to hide a chest full of jewelry, gemstones, rare coins, and gold nuggets. He told everyone that he hid the container somewhere in the Rocky Mountains. To give you an idea of how vast that area is, the Rocky Mountains span from British Columbia and Alberta then through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. As a result, not one soul has been able to recover Fenn’s treasure.
2. The Lost Dutchman
Jacob Waltz was a German immigrant who lived between 1810 to 1891. He is the sole person who knows the location of a rich gold mine sitting somewhere in the southwestern United States. That mine was misleadingly named “the Lost Dutchman’s Mine” though Waltz was German. Most fortune hunters believe that this cave full of gold is somewhere in the Superstition Mountains near Phoenix, Arizona. One popular theory that the mine belonged to members of the Apache Tribe and that they awarded the gold to a man named Dr. Thorn who treated aye-ling Apache members. Though this is an exciting story, historians say it is highly unlikely.

American Ghost Towns | Ghosts Caught on Camera at Cowboy Town Jail! 2018
Documentary style video about American Ghost Towns and American ghost town hunters’ photographs. This series of pictures of real ghosts caught on camera features a ghostly nun, a strange light and an extraordinary picture caught on camera from Cortland Jail – the ghost town in America.
Gleeson, Courtland & Pearce are ghost towns that lay on a dusty road winding out of Tombstone, Arizona. They are cowboy ghost towns. Cortland was abandoned in the early 1900s. The miners flooded the area and abandoned the town. A few buildings remain. In this video, we look at some of the ghosts caught on camera and in particular a spooky picture captured in the Jailhouse.
This video is part of a documentary series about ghosts caught on camera. Craig examines unique pictures sent to his news column and questions if they are real ghost pictures. These extraordinary photographs of ghosts captured on camera will intrigue you.

Red Rock drone footage (Red House, West Virginia)
The view of what the locals call Red Rock from the perspective of a drone. You can see where Red Rock is located compared to the Winfield Bridge as well as Red House Hill road. If you plan to visit, park your vehicle at the park n ride just after coming across the Winfield bridge, walk down the hill from there and you will see the Putnam County Animal Shelter, the entrance to the path to take to get up to Red Rock is found just beside where you would turn into the Animal Shelter with you car. The climb up is pretty steep but I've successfully taken many friends up and back. Soon I will have a video on how to get to the caves that are back beyond this point. Also the drone itself doesn't capture any sound so I chose to leave it without any instead of putting music with it. Thank you for watching! Comment below if you have been to Red Rock and if you know of any other interesting hiking spots nearby in WV that would be perfect to shoot!
