The California Science Center (sometimes spelled California ScienCenter) is a state agency and museum located in Exposition Park, Los Angeles, next to the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County and the University of Southern California. Billed as the West Coast's largest hands-on science center, the California Science Center is a public-private partnership between the State of California and the California Science Center Foundation. The California Natural Resources Agency oversees the California Science Center and the California African American Museum. Founded in 1951 as the California Museum of Science and Industry, the Museum was remodeled and renamed in 1998 as the California Science Center. The California Science Center hosts the California State Science Fair annually.
Admission includes access to the permanent exhibits, such as the Space Shuttle Endeavour and other prominent aircraft and spacecraft, and to various demonstrations. A separate ticket is required for the IMAX movies, most special traveling exhibitions, and special activities that include a climbing wall, motion simulator, and a high-wire bicycle.

California Travel Tips host Veronica Hill shares her California Science Center Travel Guide in this Los Angeles Travel Guide. This video includes a sneak peak at the California Science Center Ecosystems exhibit, which includes a 188,000-gallon kelp forest tank filled with more than 1500 fish. The Ecosystems exhibit also includes a desert flash flood, polar ice wall and Rocky Shore tidepool touch tank. Other highlights at the science museum, located in downtown Los Angeles in Exposition Park, include a high wire bicycle, earthquake simulator, hurricane simulator and 50-foot animatronic woman named Tess. The California Science Center IMAX theater is also a top draw, as is the space shuttle.

On the first day in Los Angeles we bought a DJI Osmo Action and went straight to the California Science Center. Science Center was made in Los Angeles, California in 1951.
Oh, it's a perfect place (museum) that left a lot of impressions of the first day in L.A., California, USA. I impressed by its size Space Shuttle Endeavour, which was released in 1992. In the evening we went to the Venice beach and Santa Monica beach, where we filmed in low light in 4K.
The footage was filmed on:
DJI OSMO Action
Sony RX100 VII
DJI Mavic Pro

A Visit To The Space Shuttle Endeavor, California Science Center, Los Angeles
Space Shuttle Endeavour (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-105) is a retired orbiter from NASA's Space Shuttle program and the fifth and final operational shuttle built. It embarked on its first mission, STS-49, in May 1992 and its 25th and final mission, STS-134, in May 2011.[1][2][3] STS-134 was expected to be the final mission of the Space Shuttle program,[4] but with the authorization of STS-135, Atlantis became the last shuttle to fly.
The United States Congress authorized the construction of Endeavour in 1987 to replace Challenger, which was lost in 1986.
Structural spares built during the construction of Discovery and Atlantis were used in its assembly. NASA chose, on cost grounds, to build Endeavour from spares rather than refitting Enterprise or accepting a Rockwell International proposal to build two shuttles for the price of one.

Space Shuttle Endeavour at California Science Center (Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California)
Space Shuttle Endeavour is one of the retired orbiters of the Space Shuttle program of NASA, the space agency of the United States Endeavour was the fifth and final spaceworthy NASA space shuttle to be built, and first flew in May 1992 on mission STS-49 with its last mission being STS-134 in May 2011.
After more than twenty organizations submitted proposals to NASA for the display of an orbiter, NASA announced that Endeavour would go to the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
After low level flyovers above NASA and civic landmarks across the country and in California, it was delivered to Los Angeles International Airport on September 21, 2012. The orbiter was slowly and carefully transported through the streets of Los Angeles and Inglewood three weeks later, from October 11-14 along La Tijera, Manchester, Crenshaw, and Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevards to her final destination at the California Science Center in Exposition Park.

LOS ANGELES - A worker at the Natural History Museum went for a wild ride after she drove her car down some steps of the parking structure at Exposition Park. The worker said she was on her way to park her vehicle when a parking attendant told her to make a sharp turn at the corner. The woman then proceeded down the steps with her car and got stuck. The woman was not injured and the vehicle was removed. CHP was on scene to take the report.
