CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 1
Cambodia. Deep in history and rich in culture. When Cambodian Motorbike Tours asked if I'd like to film their jungle tour and motorcycle touring I said hell yes. Plenty of creek crossings, rickety bridges, beach riding and even a jungle where the tigers still roam. Throw in plenty of a pile of Aussie dirt riders, upmarket accommodation, cheap beer, and spectactular food and it promises to be an epic Asian motorcycle tour adventure. Cambodia Motorbike Tours provide convenient event tours with fixed dates & routes, or our tailored private tours completely flexible to suit your needs; allowing you to set custom start and finish dates, preferences, skill levels and destinations! If you are like us and not into mainstream tourism then you'll love CMT ride expeditions.

So a quick bit of geography with this Asian motorcycle tour adventure. Cambodia is tucked in nicely between Thailand and Vietnam and our first leg with Cambodian Motorbike Tours is from Phnom Penh down south to a posh beachside hotel at Kep. Before we explore this land of a thousand shades of green on our Cambodian dirt ride expedition, we need to get out from the city. The grid locked traffic eases as we head out, and we hope the corner marking system keeps our motley crew together through the outer suburbs. Most riders on the TTR250s, and Emma makes the most of the lounge chair seat. There's even a KTM 300 and a few of us are on WR450Fs. Once we are off the main roads then it's open season for Asian motorcycle tour wheelies. The locals were constantly asking for wheelies and as invited guests we wanted to do the right thing. Cambodia Motorbike Tours are designed by riders for riders seeking that ultimate ride. an adventure like no other, from the stunning country side to white sandy beaches, welcoming locals and famed CMT quality tours & support where your welcomed as a friend not a number on these awesome dirt riding expeditions. We run open tour events and private tours all year round.
Sandy single track? Just what the doctor ordered. We quickly realised the terrain was going to change constantly throughout this trip as we do a loop of the western half of the country with Cambodian Motorbike Tours. Cambodia is definitely on the warm side so regular stops in the shade are a good chance to hydrate and chill. Until you realise you might be next to an old minefield on your Asian motorcycle tour adventure! The warm smiles of the locals is something of a miracle given the torture this country has been through, and we'll explore some of that later on this trip with Cambodian Motorbike Tours.
Why is the TTR250 the bike of choice for Cambodian Motorbike Tours? It's rough, it's tough, and unrelentingly powerful. This Yamaha has been known to survive nuclear blasts and is massively powerful. And it comes with impressive features like a seat, exhaust and handlebars for your dirt ride expedition. Are your gonads big enough? TTR. Cambodia Motorbike Tours holds a fleet of 20 well-maintained and serviced Yamaha TTR 250, WR250F and WR450F dirt bikes. CMT is ranked in the top five best tours on earth and Cambodia is a dirt-bike adventurers paradise - jungle trails, remote villages, ancient temples and a rich culture.
All of us on this ride are superb physical specimens but I have to admit we all look forward to these rest breaks with Cambodian Motorbike Tours to cool off and get some water back into the system. There are sections of sealed road and highway regularly throughout the day and these actually work out to be good rest breaks. Even with our rock hard chiselled bodies the hot weather and dirt sections are taking their toll and the highway is a good chance to relax and let some air flow through our sweaty gear. As we get closer to the coast the terrain changes again, with more palm trees appearing and some incredible rock formations. A few of us are tempted to try a hill climb but the temptation of cold beer and a swim in the hotel pool prove irresistible.

Ziplining High Above Angkor Jungle (SIEM REAP VLOG)
This is Angkor Zipline near Angkor Wat but more in the jungle of course. It's really good, we did the half day course and did about 3-5 ziplines and a few sky bridges, saw lots of bugs in the jungle but most of them stayed on the surface so you're alright once you've climbed up the first set of tree stairs. I'd definitly bring bug spray or something though if you're coming here for the day. The meal was great as well, they basically kept bringing food until we said stop!

A must destination for many of us. Not an amazing place for kids but truly historical and you got to admit this one of the 7th wonders are really top of the world. Siem Reap is pretty small and temples focused destination and less than a week exploration is fairly enough for quick tour around Siem Reap and its wonders.
To cut short, not many places of interest but you got to chose the best place to stay which is at least not more than 10km away from Angkor Wat. We choose J7 hotel due to its high rating and humble hospitality. Shopping mall, 24-hour mart and food centres were just less than 5 minutes walking distance and 15 minutes taxi ride to Angkor Wat from our hotel make ease for other day plans. Apart from Angkor Wat, there were multiple temples but you should choose wisely and the main would be Angkor Thom, Baphoun Temple and Ta Prom Temple. Remember Tomb Raiders II :)... You won't stand a chance to missed all these major movie scenes.
Angkor Wat is the most famous ancient temple site in Cambodia. Visiting the ancient Angkorian temples is the reason most visitors come to Siem Reap. Expect to burnt at minimum USD50 per person including entrance to all major temples and half day taxi ride and small food bites with couples of beers or coconut to chill your body under the hottest land in South East Asia. If you don't know how to purchase the ticket, no worries that all ticket whether online or manually, can only be purchase at only 1 office in the city which cost USD37 for 1 day or USD72 for 3 consecutive days entrance. You need to be present personally at the counter and that 's the law. Therefore, please hire a taxi driver who will guide the purchase and include driving you along other temples apart from Angkor Wat. It's not necessary to spent further for personal tour guide if you did a pre-visit to their National Museum which only cost USD12. You can do this a day prior to the temples visits and I'm pretty sure your brain will be equipped with basic ideas of the Angkorian temples.
Apart from temples, do visit their Fishing Village known as Kompong Phluk with estimated 900 family members living on floating house. You will be guided on a speed boat for couple of hours and advance ticket can be purchased at USD27. Not much to explore but you will be lucky enough to see a truly undeveloped civilians with high poverty and yet they smile at you all the times.
Other light activity such as Smile of Angkor, their night live theatre cost at minimum of USD35 which includes buffet dinner would be perfect for a last night adventure, before returning back to hometown. The show last for 75 minutes and performers are well trained professionally .
Do enjoy some Cambodian foods especially their AMOK, a coconut based steam dumplings filled with fish meats or chicken and covered with banana leaves. In Malaysia, we called them Otak Otak and direct translate to English would be Brainy Brainy???
Before returning back to hometown, don't forget to help the people of Cambodia by buying some nice local made clothes which is so cheap...USD2 each. For me, i got myself more than 10 pieces of clothes and one amazing Angkor Wat oil paintings.
Good luck and enjoy you upcoming destination!

Angkor Zipline Siem Reap: Ziplining Through Angkor Wat Park Cambodia
Angkor Zipline is the only zip line inside the Angkor Wat Park, so we decided to do their silver eco course for our last day in Siem Reap.
We wanted an adventure to end our Cambodia trip, and this turned out to be perfect. What could be better than zip lining through the jungle? The guys had one main rule: no crying!
Siem Reap Cambodia: Angkor Thom and it's hidden secrets,
Cambodia is one of my favorite places on earth. It is so beautiful and amazing and the people are the nicest you will ever meet. While in Siem Reap, we stayed at the Amansara, where they provided us with private tours. I have never experienced anything so amazing. They took us to places that most people don't get to see, the hidden Angkor. SO come join me while I show you the beauty of this awe inspiring place!

SIEM REAP | Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Ta Prohm [2019]
We took the insanely cheap train from Bangkok to Aranyaprathet so we could cross the border to Cambodia, in order to get to Siem Reap and visit the incredible temples of Angkor! They truly are amazing!
The train that we took from Bangkok to Aranyaprathet leaves Hua Lamphong station at 5:55am and arrived at Aranyaprathet at around 11:30am. We then got a tuk tuk to the Cambodian border, passed through immigration, then got a taxi to our hotel in Siem Reap, the Sarai Resort & Spa hotel. The train was a ridiculously cheap 48 baht ($1.50) and the taxi was 1,400 baht ($40).
The following day, we hired a tuk tuk driver for a day ($15) to take us to the Angkor temples after first purchasing one-day passes ($37) which allowed us to enter the temples for the entire day, coming and going as we pleased.
The temples we visited were Angkor Thom and it's East gate, Bayon inside of Angkor Thom, Ta Prohm (where the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider movie was shot), Angkor Wat, and another smaller temple we didn't know the name of. All of the temples were magnificent and actually took us by surprise how beautiful they were in real life. We definitely recommend you all to go and visit them one day if you get the chance!
Filmed using a Canon G7X, GoPro Hero 7 Black, DJI Phantom 3 Advanced.

CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 4
Cambodia the dirty way round. In the last episode we rode the west coast from Sihanoukville to Koh Kong, and it was wet and wild in more ways than one. Waterfalls, a village on a cool rocky river, lunch on the beach, and plenty of wet tracks and water crossings to keep us on our toes. And all finished off with a bit of road racing with our Cambodian dirt ride expedition. Sweet! Luxury. This beautiful riverside hotel shows the influence of France when they colonised Cambodia for over fifty years, and you have to wonder what the Frenchies made of this green wet tropical land. Today we are heading inland to Kamou on our Asian motorcycle tour where we'll be staying in more traditional Cambodian style accommodation. And what better way to kick off a new day by conserving our front tyre rubber. This concrete highway winds its way through a mountain range with spectacular views along the way. Chris Perry gets a little lost and tries to take the old bridge across the river. Then he gets even more confused and can't find the way back. He finally gets it sorted and we push on with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. Cambodia Motorbike Tours provide convenient event tours with fixed dates & routes, or our tailored private tours completely flexible to suit your needs; allowing you to set custom start and finish dates, preferences, skill levels and destinations! If you are like us and not into mainstream tourism then you'll love CMT.

Actually Chris had frequent navigational issues on Asian motorcycle tours and often couldn't work out how to cross a shallow river with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. The locals show him it ain't that hard if you think about it. More dangerous than the tigers and snakes is the bamboo. This is regularly cut back in a way that leaves sharp ends exposed. These are no problem for the local ride expeditions but a dirt rider spearing off the track could wind up skewered on the bamboo. It's lucky we have a trained medic as we are a gazillion miles away from the nearest medical service. The tiger trail is hot and humid and we stop when one of the guys overheats from pulling his bike out of mud holes with Cambodian dirt riding. On the second half of the tiger trail, Chris and Emma shoot ahead and it turns into a jungle race where I barely avoid shitting myself trying to keep up. Man those guys are fast! It will appear in one of our upcoming supporter vids for this Asian motorcycle tour in Cambodia.
We've ridden past so many temples with Cambodia Motorbike Tours, now we finally get to explore one. As usual I haven't listened to the rider briefing so pop a wheelie on the long driveway. I'm not sure if wheelies are allowed in Buddhism but I'm sure they would be pretty chilled about it anyway. The fourth largest religion in the world, Buddhism is also one of the most peaceful and has rarely been used to inspire violence and hatred unlike all the other major religions when on an Asian motorcycle tour. It's all about moving toward nirvana as you get reincarnated. You might start as a monkey, then a lowly KTM rider, then work though the Japanese models and eventually a Beta then nirvana. Buddhism also has something to do with the sound of one hand clapping or a one stroke engine firing. This temple also includes a memorial to the various killing methods of the Kymher rouge, those sick fucks who deliberately murdered a quarter of the Cambodian population in the 1970s. Up to three million were killed, and many by the most gruesome forms of torture you could imagine. I suspect the peaceful nature of Buddhism has much to do with how far the country has healed itself since those horrors and the presence of old embattlements is a reminder of Cambodia's war torn past. I could see the massive respect our tour leaders have for the local people as wherever we went they were striiking up conversations with the locals. Cambodia Motorbike Tours offer fully supported tours along with excellent overnight stays... are you ready for the ride of your life? CMT is a proud supporter of Global Village Housing and a share of profits from all tours help house families most in need across Cambodia. Cambodia Motorbike Tours are reviewed as 5 star by riders seeking the ultimate adventure.

Cambodia Vlog: Beng Mealea, Floating Village, Roluos Group!
instagram.com/timandglo
November 10, 2014
We spent most of day two about an hour outside of Siem Reap. Our guesthouse arranged for us to visit Beng Mealea, Kampong Phluk, and the Roluos Group of Angkor Wat temples with a private car and driver for $60.
We felt like real explorers at Beng Mealea, where we climbed over ruins and piles of rubble. Because Beng Mealea is not part of Angkor Wat, we had to pay a separate admissions fee of $5 per person. It's possible to take a tuk tuk to Beng Mealea, which will be cheaper than a car but the ride will take longer and it's not nearly as comfortable given all the rocky dirt roads in the area.
Based on the underwhelming results of our online research for the floating village of Kampong Phluk, we decided before arriving in Cambodia that we would give it a skip. But because it's on the way back to Siem Reap from Beng Mealea, we decided to give it a try. Although it was a pricey tourist activity for Cambodian standards, we were happy with the overall experience. The cost of the boat ride to the floating village is $20 per person. Once you're at the village, you have the option to transfer to a canoe for a more intimate paddle through the village as well as a gorgeous mangrove forest. We were charged $10 per person for the canoe ride, but we later learned that the price is not set and other tourists negotiated to pay just $4 or $5 per person.
Our last stop was two of of the three Roluos Group of temples. Because they are part of Angkor Wat, we were able to use our three-day passes to see Lolei and Bakong. Because of time constraints (the temples close at 5:00 pm) and low light, we had to skip the third Roluos Group temple, Preah Ko.
Thank you for watching!!
