CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 1
Cambodia. Deep in history and rich in culture. When Cambodian Motorbike Tours asked if I'd like to film their jungle tour and motorcycle touring I said hell yes. Plenty of creek crossings, rickety bridges, beach riding and even a jungle where the tigers still roam. Throw in plenty of a pile of Aussie dirt riders, upmarket accommodation, cheap beer, and spectactular food and it promises to be an epic Asian motorcycle tour adventure. Cambodia Motorbike Tours provide convenient event tours with fixed dates & routes, or our tailored private tours completely flexible to suit your needs; allowing you to set custom start and finish dates, preferences, skill levels and destinations! If you are like us and not into mainstream tourism then you'll love CMT ride expeditions.

So a quick bit of geography with this Asian motorcycle tour adventure. Cambodia is tucked in nicely between Thailand and Vietnam and our first leg with Cambodian Motorbike Tours is from Phnom Penh down south to a posh beachside hotel at Kep. Before we explore this land of a thousand shades of green on our Cambodian dirt ride expedition, we need to get out from the city. The grid locked traffic eases as we head out, and we hope the corner marking system keeps our motley crew together through the outer suburbs. Most riders on the TTR250s, and Emma makes the most of the lounge chair seat. There's even a KTM 300 and a few of us are on WR450Fs. Once we are off the main roads then it's open season for Asian motorcycle tour wheelies. The locals were constantly asking for wheelies and as invited guests we wanted to do the right thing. Cambodia Motorbike Tours are designed by riders for riders seeking that ultimate ride. an adventure like no other, from the stunning country side to white sandy beaches, welcoming locals and famed CMT quality tours & support where your welcomed as a friend not a number on these awesome dirt riding expeditions. We run open tour events and private tours all year round.
Sandy single track? Just what the doctor ordered. We quickly realised the terrain was going to change constantly throughout this trip as we do a loop of the western half of the country with Cambodian Motorbike Tours. Cambodia is definitely on the warm side so regular stops in the shade are a good chance to hydrate and chill. Until you realise you might be next to an old minefield on your Asian motorcycle tour adventure! The warm smiles of the locals is something of a miracle given the torture this country has been through, and we'll explore some of that later on this trip with Cambodian Motorbike Tours.
Why is the TTR250 the bike of choice for Cambodian Motorbike Tours? It's rough, it's tough, and unrelentingly powerful. This Yamaha has been known to survive nuclear blasts and is massively powerful. And it comes with impressive features like a seat, exhaust and handlebars for your dirt ride expedition. Are your gonads big enough? TTR. Cambodia Motorbike Tours holds a fleet of 20 well-maintained and serviced Yamaha TTR 250, WR250F and WR450F dirt bikes. CMT is ranked in the top five best tours on earth and Cambodia is a dirt-bike adventurers paradise - jungle trails, remote villages, ancient temples and a rich culture.
All of us on this ride are superb physical specimens but I have to admit we all look forward to these rest breaks with Cambodian Motorbike Tours to cool off and get some water back into the system. There are sections of sealed road and highway regularly throughout the day and these actually work out to be good rest breaks. Even with our rock hard chiselled bodies the hot weather and dirt sections are taking their toll and the highway is a good chance to relax and let some air flow through our sweaty gear. As we get closer to the coast the terrain changes again, with more palm trees appearing and some incredible rock formations. A few of us are tempted to try a hill climb but the temptation of cold beer and a swim in the hotel pool prove irresistible.

SIEM REAP VLOG - KHMER WAYS SCOOTER TOUR | Cambodia Travel Vlog 017, 2017
Hiring a scooter in Cambodia or Siem Reap can be tough, so in this travel vlog we found a great company, Khmer tours, to take us on a trip far away from the tourists and into the real Cambodia. We saw some local villages, watched some rice paddy workers and wowed a few locals with our drone flying over Siem Reap. Incredible experience, as rushed as the flights were around this day the scooter trip was well worth it!

CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 6
Last episode we enjoyed some traditional Cambodian accommodation before heading out for our fifth day of exploring Cambodia the dirty way round on this dirt riding expedition, some of the best southeast Asian motorcycle tour riding out! Amazing scenery, great riding, constantly changing terrain on this dirt ride expedition... and all topped off with yet another fancy hotel and a roof top pool. Sunrise in Battambang for our final day's riding and our trusty steeds call to us. But first, time to fill the belly. Nice and cool in the hotel but the heat awaits for our pack of dirt riding reprobates. I wasn't sure whether to bring my Zac Speed armour and hydration pack but it's been awesome as it lets air circulate down your back and front. There's been a fair bit of talk about the best ways to stay cool. Some left all their armour behind. Others said it's safety first and are overheating in their compression suits. For me the Aussie built Zac Speed setup is the best of both worlds with Cambodia Motorbike Tours' Asian ride expedition. Cambodia Motorbike Tours are designed by riders for riders seeking that ultimate ride, whether its our organised tours, or tailoring your own to suit your needs in terms of time, preferences, skill levels and destinations.

Exploring Siem Reap by motorbike
Over the summer holidays (December 2015) Sam and I travelled to Cambodia. It was the first time Sam and I were able to travel overseas together and we loved every minute of it! The first four days we explored the markets, temples and countryside of Siem Reap. It was unreal!!
We logged the whole trip and will be breaking the vlogs up - so stay tuned for our adventures in Phnom Penh.

CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 2
Riding the wild west of east Asia on our Jungle Kings ride expedition with Cambodian Motorbike Tours. On our first day we left the capital of Phnom Penh and headed south for the coast to overnight in a beach resort and get ready for some beach riding on this Asian motorcycle tour. Sunrise on our second day of riding, today we'll be heading from Kep to another costal town Sihanoukville. Our posh hotel turns on our first of many buffet breakfasts while our trusty steeds wait for some beach riding. An unusual aspect of Cambodia is there is so much awesome single trail but of course they are just tracks for pedestrians, cyclists or the occasional scooter and gumbies from Cambodia Motorbike Tours.

It's unseasonally dry for what is meant to be the end of the wet season but there's still plenty of water and mud around with Cambodia Motorbike Tours ride expedition. Is there a best time to ride Cambodia? It probably comes down to personal preference. Apparently the wet season is slightly cooler and the afternoon showers are a good way to cool down too. But there's plenty of mud and water if that's your cup of tea. The conditions for our ride were more typical of the dry season so take your pick. One thing's for sure, everyone seems to have a hoot no matter what time of the year they ride in Cambodian Asian motorcycle tours. The guys said a common question is how well do you need to ride to do one of these trips. I think it's safe to say you'd want a reasonable amount of dirt riding experience under your belt or you would simply get too exhausted and be getting the support riders to push your bike through tough sections or ride it for you. But you don't need to be top rider at all. And if you want more challenge, there are plenty of tough lines out there on the tracks. Chris and Emma were regularly taking some very nasty looking detours and I'd join them occasionally. But if you know the basics of riding in mud, hopping logs and dealing with everyday obstacles I reckon you'd be fine on these trips.
Chris stops to mess around on this rock and I'm glad he's on a TTR250. He would probably do something insane on his usual bike, I'd try to copy him and I'd wind up in hospital for the next six months. Everyone has different techniques for the mud bogs. Some charge through and spear off into the trees or wind up with the bike on top of them. Others like me take the slow cautious approach. And Chris tends to charge through but always in control. CAMBODIA MOTORBIKE TOURS: Jungle Kings Tour day 4
Cambodia the dirty way round. In the last episode we rode the west coast from Sihanoukville to Koh Kong, and it was wet and wild in more ways than one. Waterfalls, a village on a cool rocky river, lunch on the beach, and plenty of wet tracks and water crossings to keep us on our toes. And all finished off with a bit of road racing with our Cambodian dirt ride expedition. Sweet! Luxury. This beautiful riverside hotel shows the influence of France when they colonised Cambodia for over fifty years, and you have to wonder what the Frenchies made of this green wet tropical land. Today we are heading inland to Kamou on our Asian motorcycle tour where we'll be staying in more traditional Cambodian style accommodation. And what better way to kick off a new day by conserving our front tyre rubber. This concrete highway winds its way through a mountain range with spectacular views along the way. Chris Perry gets a little lost and tries to take the old bridge across the river. Then he gets even more confused and can't find the way back. He finally gets it sorted and we push on with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. Cambodia Motorbike Tours provide convenient event tours with fixed dates & routes, or our tailored private tours completely flexible to suit your needs; allowing you to set custom start and finish dates, preferences, skill levels and destinations! If you are like us and not into mainstream tourism then you'll love CMT.

Actually Chris had frequent navigational issues on Asian motorcycle tours and often couldn't work out how to cross a shallow river with Cambodia Motorbike Tours. The locals show him it ain't that hard if you think about it. More dangerous than the tigers and snakes is the bamboo. This is regularly cut back in a way that leaves sharp ends exposed. These are no problem for the local ride expeditions but a dirt rider spearing off the track could wind up skewered on the bamboo. It's lucky we have a trained medic as we are a gazillion miles away from the nearest medical service. The tiger trail is hot and humid and we stop when one of the guys overheats from pulling his bike out of mud holes with Cambodian dirt riding. On the second half of the tiger trail, Chris and Emma shoot ahead and it turns into a jungle race where I barely avoid shitting myself trying to keep up. Man those guys are fast! It will appear in one of our upcoming supporter vids for this Asian motorcycle tour in Cambodia.
We've ridden past so many temples with Cambodia Motorbike Tours, now we finally get to explore one. As usual I haven't listened to the rider briefing so pop a wheelie on the long driveway. I'm not sure if wheelies are allowed in Buddhism but I'm sure they would be pretty chilled about it anyway. The fourth largest religion in the world, Buddhism is also one of the most peaceful and has rarely been used to inspire violence and hatred unlike all the other major religions when on an Asian motorcycle tour. It's all about moving toward nirvana as you get reincarnated. You might start as a monkey, then a lowly KTM rider, then work though the Japanese models and eventually a Beta then nirvana. Buddhism also has something to do with the sound of one hand clapping or a one stroke engine firing. This temple also includes a memorial to the various killing methods of the Kymher rouge, those sick fucks who deliberately murdered a quarter of the Cambodian population in the 1970s. Up to three million were killed, and many by the most gruesome forms of torture you could imagine. I suspect the peaceful nature of Buddhism has much to do with how far the country has healed itself since those horrors and the presence of old embattlements is a reminder of Cambodia's war torn past. I could see the massive respect our tour leaders have for the local people as wherever we went they were striiking up conversations with the locals. Cambodia Motorbike Tours offer fully supported tours along with excellent overnight stays... are you ready for the ride of your life? Cambodia Motorbike Adventure in Siem Reap-Countryside Local Tour Full Day Road Trip of Fun and Sun
#Cambodia #Khmer #Motorbike #Adventure. This was a great day out in Cambodia's countryside getting a peek at the local lifestyle with a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide named Slim. We did a full day trip and it was worth every penny. We covered a ton of area. If you like to ride motorbikes, this is the trip for you. The company does offer a dirt bike trip but this is a little more mellow as you cruise around on semi automatic Honda 150 motorbikes. We got to see how rice was grown and harvested, local farms, painters, blacksmithing, lakes, streams, orchards, red dirt quarries, eat local food, local drinks, and much more. When we were done we were left with smiles. If I ever come back, there is no question I'll be calling these guys for either a dirbike tour or multi-day mountain tour. One of the coolest things is also getting to see the hidden temples in the jungle. No crowds, no fees, yet still getting to experience setting foot on and exploring ancient ruins. We got to also visit a real life distillery on a farm where they also make rice whisky. It was also neat to see all of the water buffalo along the way. Riding motorbikes is fun in the states but this is really a topper being able to do so much exploring and sightseeing on them.
(Oh also, don't forget to tip your tour guide at the end of the day.)
We stopped for lunch at a nice and clean local resturaunt. Slim recommended I get the loke lock. I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong but it was delicious.
I want to say that we didn't decide to do this until the last minute and Mr Po Hay made last minute arrangements to pick us up and get us outfitted with helmets and bikes.
Once we were done he gave us free beers then drove us back to our hotel. Wow. Top notch.
Mr. Po Hay is incredibly warm and friendly. 100% recommend you and your family call him. You will thank me later=). Here's his info.

Join me Monday to Friday on this amazing road trip through Asia. Laos at the moment. I aim to create an entertaining piece of content about my travels 5 times per week. Unless literally everything goes wrong, but than still, I'll try to make a video about that! I can be super excited about the simple things in life and I think that life is amazing! By creating these VLOGS I hope to put a smile on your face too every day of the week!
Before motorbiking through Laos, I drove this motorbike through Vietnam, crossed the Pacific Ocean on sailing boats as crew member and visited The Unites States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, The Marquesas Islands, Tahiti, The Kingdom Of Niue, Rarotonga, Tonga, Fiji, some other small islands and ended up in New Zealand. In New Zealand I cycled 3.000km from top to bottom. After that I flew to Vietnam to start this motorbike tour. Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi by Motorbike, after which into Laos and now in Cambodia
Right now I am in Siem Reap
