A Taste for Culture
Food offers an immersive view of a nation's identity. That's why Rutgers–Camden students in the Learning Abroad program are studying culture through cuisine with Ana Laguna, associate professor of World Languages and Cultures. Their class, A Taste for Culture, combines in-class learning with hands-on experiences, like a grant-funded dinner at Zahav restaurant in Philadelphia and a trip to Spain during spring break.

Mock EAS: Multi-Part Disaster Hybrid
IMPORTANT!: The sound on this video may be unusually high. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
This is a 4-1/2 part hybrid scenario showing what the 'beginning of the end' might have been like in the Repo! The Genetic Opera universe (if you haven't seen it, it's awesome! The disease in question is called Neural Overstimulation Syndrome, and it struck half of the planet... Thusly the EAN at the end of this scenario). The half part is for the interruption near the end.
An outbreak of some kind is underway... The medical community might not be able to do anything, but at least the public is kept well-informed!
Part 1) Civil Emergency Message
Part 2) Civil Danger Warning
Part 3) Shelter In Place Warning
Part 4) National Information Center Statement into...
Part 4a) Emergency Action Notification
NOTES: I found that Adobe Audition was cutting off my inputs for creating the SAME tones. You'll notice that the tones are longer, and more realistic now!

Lyrics:
I wake up in the morning, just glad my boots are on
Instead of empty in the whispering grasses,
Down the Five at Forest Lawn
On the set, the makeup girl brings me two raw eggs and a shot of gin
When I give it all up for that little blue pill
That promises to bring it all back to you again
Ride me down easy, ride me down easy friend
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again
Here in the canyons above Sunset, the desert don’t give up the fight
A coyote with someone’s Chihuahua in its teeth skitters ‘cross my veranda in the
night
Some lost sheep from Oklahoma sips her Mojito down at the Whiskey Bar
Smiles and says she thinks she remembers me from that commercial with the
credit card
Hell these days there ain’t no more, now there’s just again
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again
Sundays I take my El Camino, throw my saddle in and go
East to the desert where the charros, they still ride and rope
Our American brothers cross the wire and bring the old ways with them
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again
Once I was shot by John Wayne, yea, it was towards the end
That one scene's bought me a thousand drinks, set me up and I’ll tell it for you
friend
Here’s to the cowboys, and the riders in the whirlwind
Tonight the western stars are shining bright again
And the western stars are shining bright again
Tonight the riders on Sunset are smothered in the Santa Ana winds
The western stars are shining bright again
C’mon and ride me down easy, ride me down easy friend
‘Cause tonight the western stars are shining bright again
I woke up this morning just glad my boots were on

Governor Christie: New Jersey's Sad History Of Over Institutionalization Is Ending
Budget Address, February 26, 2013 (Transcript Below)
Governor Christie: So since the beginning, my Administration has paid particular attention to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and mental illness.
I have signed a bill to eliminate offensive and archaic references in our laws and regulations. We have created a central registry of offenders who willfully abuse, neglect or exploit a person with intellectual disabilities. We have expanded housing opportunities for people with disabilities. And we have made New Jersey an employment first state -- which is better for families, employers and people with disabilities.
Today, I am proud to announce that we have settled an eight-year-old Olmstead lawsuit with Disability Rights New Jersey. The suit claimed that New Jersey was not complying with U.S. Supreme Court mandates to allow people with developmental disabilities to live in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting. In response, we have increased funding for community-based services; we have reduced the waiting list for in-home supports and services, and we have expanded group homes and supported living options.
We all know, we all know New Jersey's sad, sad history of over institutionalization. We have institutionalized more citizens than any state in America other than Texas. It is shameful. It is ineffective. And, in this Administration, it is ending.
