TransLink Canada Line Skytrain - YVR-Airport to Waterfront
This is a ride on board The Canada Line - one of TransLink's rapid transit 'skytrain' routes - though this line is operationally separate from the other two lines in operation. The Canada Line opened in 2009 linking Downtown Vancouver with YVR Airport and Richmond in just 30 minutes. The line is operated with twenty LRV units built by Hyundai-Rotem with a maximum frequency of every three minutes (one train every six minutes to YVR Airport and one train every six minutes to Richmond).
Most of the route is underground, from Marine Drive all the way to Waterfront. The route goes underneath Cambie street as far as Olympic Village, where we go into bored tunnel under False Creek and through Yaletown before running underneath Granville Street to Waterfront.
Previously the rapid transit between Richmond and Downtown Vancouver was provided by the 98 B-Line bus, running along Seymour and Howe Streets in Downtown Vancouver, and along Granville Street and over the Arthur Laing and Moray Bridges via Airport Station.

The Canada Line is the third rapid transit line built in the SkyTrain metro system in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The line is owned by TransLink and InTransitBC and operated by ProTrans BC, and links Vancouver, Richmond, and the Vancouver International Airport. It is coloured turquoise on route maps.
The Canada Line comprises 19.2 kilometres (11.9 mi) of track; the main line goes from Vancouver to Richmond, while a 4-kilometre (2.5 mi) spur line from Bridgeport station connects to the airport. It had been scheduled to open on November 30, 2009, but opened three months ahead of schedule, well in advance of the 2010 Winter Olympics the following February.
The Canada Line was anticipated to have 100,000 boardings per day in 2013 and 142,000 boardings per day by 2021, but it has consistently exceeded early targets. Ridership has grown steadily since opening day, with average ridership of 83,000 per day in September 2009, 105,000 per day in March 2010, and over 136,000 passengers per weekday in June 2011. This is a narrated video about the Canada Line - and some of the nearby amenities, landmarks, and available connections from the fifteen stations in the cities of Vancouver, Richmond, and on Sea Island.
I had intended to make a production like this in 2009 with the line's opening, but due to considerable errors with the footage (and it was only filmed in 640x480 resolution) demanded that I abandon the project until much later, recording the footage all over again with a newer camera in a higher resolution.

Adding on to the videos from Vancouver, this will be the last one. Here, we see the Canada Line Skytrain, the newest line. The cool thing about the Skytrain, is that there is nobody driving it! I would of recorded the ride from the front, but there were these two little kids who took the spot imedietly! Next time! Translink's Canada Line - YVR Airport to Waterfront (#211 2008 Hyundai Rotem EMU)
Welcome aboard on the Canada Line starting from YVR Airport Canada Line Station to Downtown Vancouver, Waterfront Station. The Canada Line operated from August 17, 2009 and runs every 3 to 24 minutes each train depending on when you're boarding this train. The most unique thing about this line is the train doesn't run on the regular Skytrain system line. I still find it quite fascinating about that! Anyone needing to go to Downtown Vancouver from YVR Airport without a car between 12:56am PST to 5:00am PST needs to take the taxi or take the N10 Downtown Nightbus from the 7-Eleven exit near the Canada Arrival section of the YVR Airport. Anyone whose been to Vancouver and took the bus before September 7th 2009, it's the same bus stop where you use to take the 424 Airport Station. It's just the Canada Line doesn't run thru the public in those time. Anyways, anyone that's just here just a peak of the Canada Line, sit down, relax and enjoy the video!

I have just departed Honolulu at 10 pm, it takes 5 1/2 hours to get back to Vancouver from Honolulu Hawaii. Ride the elevators and the Canada Line Station back home.

The Adult fair on a normal weekday is $9.25 2 zones single fare coming from the airport. (Includes a $5.00 YVR add fare because you are coming from the airport.)
From Canada Place to the Airport the Adult 2 zone single fare will cost you $4.25
On weekends or holidays, the system is one zone and will cost you $8 or $3.00 on the return trip.
Child or Seniors 65+ the fare is $7.95 coming from the airport or $2.95 on the return trip.
On weekends or holidays, the fare is $6.95 or $1.95

A cab/taxi from YVR Vancouver's Airport to Canada Place has a flat fee of $36 Cdn. (As of Oct 2019)
UPDATE January 2020
Uber/Lift have started service in Vancouver as of Today Jan 24/20. They have a pickup location outside the International Terminal and can drop you off anywhere in Metro Vancouver. Uber/Lift will not be allowed to pick up at Canada Place on Cruise days. I guess you will have to walk to a hotel and use the app from there if you want one.

Governance of the project was through Canada Line Rapid Transit Inc. (CLCO), formerly RAV Project Management Ltd. (RAVCO, a reflection of the original Richmond-Airport-Vancouver name).[9] The line was built by SNC-Lavalin, and InTransitBC will manage the line for 35 years under a contract with TransLink. The Canada Line is operationally independent from British Columbia Rapid Transit Company, which operates SkyTrain's Expo and Millennium lines, but is considered a part of the SkyTrain network. Like the other two SkyTrain lines in Metro Vancouver, it is also light metro rapid transit, using fully automated trains on grade-separated guideways.

The SkyTrain Canada Line is a 16-station, 19-km automated rapid transit rail line that serves Downtown Vancouver, the City of Richmond, and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). From terminus to terminus to terminus, it is just a 25-minute trip from Downtown to YVR or Richmond City Centre. The line is built in time for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and Whistler. 100,000 people are expected to use the line everyday.
