Boston To Cape cod, Massachusetts
Cape Cod is a geographic cape extending into the Atlantic Ocean from the southeastern corner of mainland Massachusetts, in the northeastern United States. Its historic, maritime character and ample beaches attract heavy tourism during the summer months.
As defined by the Cape Cod Commission's enabling legislation, Cape Cod is conterminous with Barnstable County, Massachusetts. It extends from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest and is bordered by Plymouth to the northwest.
Since 1914, most of Cape Cod has been separated from the mainland by the Cape Cod Canal. The canal cuts 7 miles (11 km) roughly across the base of the peninsula, though small portions of the Cape Cod towns of Bourne and Sandwich lie on the mainland side of the canal. Two highway bridges cross the Cape Cod Canal: the Sagamore Bridge and the Bourne Bridge. In addition, the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge carries railway freight and limited passenger services onto the Cape. Cape territory is divided into 15 towns with many villages.

Cape Cod is a cape jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean in the easternmost portion of the state of Massachusetts, in the Northeastern United States. Its historic, maritime character and ample beaches attract heavy tourism during the summer months.
Cape Cod stretches from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest. Cape Cod encompasses Barnstable County, and is in full jurisdiction of the Cape Cod Commission, which includes a small part of that area that is on the mainland side of the Cape Cod Canal (which includes Buzzards Bay, Bournedale and Sagamore Beach.[2] Most, however, incorrectly see the canal as Cape Cod's western boundary. Historically, the entire Town of Bourne (which was a part of Sandwich until 1884) was considered Cape Cod hundreds of years before the canal was built. The Town of Sandwich also extends over the Cape Cod Canal onto the mainland side of Cape Cod.
Two road bridges cross the Cape Cod Canal: the Sagamore Bridge and the Bourne Bridge. In addition, the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge carries railway freight and limited passenger services onto the Cape. Cape territory is divided into fifteen towns with many villages.

Cape Cod is a peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean in the easternmost portion of the state of Massachusetts, in the Northeastern United States. Its historic, maritime character and ample beaches attract heavy tourism during the summer months.
Cape Cod stretches from Provincetown in the northeast to Woods Hole in the southwest. Cape Cod, as defined by the Cape Cod Commission's enabling legislation, is comprised of Barnstable County. Cape territory is divided into fifteen towns with many villages Like Cape Cod itself, the islands south of the Cape have evolved from whaling and trading areas to become resort destinations, attracting wealthy families, celebrities, and other tourists. These include the large nearby islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, which are themselves famous summer tourist destinations, commonly accessed by ferry from Cape Cod. The phrases Cape Cod and the Islands and the Cape and Islands are often used to describe the whole region of Barnstable County, Dukes County (including the Vineyard and the smaller Elizabeth Islands), and Nantucket County.
Several small islands right off Cape Cod, including Monomoy Island, Monomoscoy Island, Popponesset Island, and Seconsett Island, are also in Barnstable County,More Info

Best RV Campground Near Boston, Cape Cod, Salem [TREKKN Episode 7]
In our first visit to the Boston area, we soaked in as much as possible and got to eat at the oldest tavern in America, founded in 1795! Need I say more?

We experienced so much history as we explored Salem, Boston, Plymouth and Cape Cod that we were just completely blown away.
We learned about the Salem witch trials, about the life of author Nathaniel Hawthorne who lived and worked here, and we also toured the House of the Seven Gables in Salem that Hawthorne's book was based on.
Then in Boston, we got to tour the Old South Meeting House where Ben Franklin was baptized and where the idea for the Boston Tea Party was born. On top of that, we got to eat lunch at the oldest tavern in America: The Bell In Hand Tavern located in Boston's North End near Little Italy...also incredible, by the way!
Finally, on our day trip to the south of the city, we stopped at Plymouth Rock and were able to walk through the historic city of Plymouth (or Plimouth as it was originally called). For our finale, we made it out to Cape Cod and experienced a little bit of the coast line at Falmouth. We got some great pictures of the Nobska Lighthouse near sunset and glimpsed Martha's Vineyard just across the water.
All of it was just jaw-dropping. In addition to the beauty and history, we experienced some of the kindest and most considerate folks we have ever come across here in Massachusetts. From the courteous drivers who almost ALWAYS make space and let you in, to the friendly folks who stop you in the street to strike up a conversation or just want to find out if you need any help finding your way around, we were pleasantly surprised at every turn. It was a truly remarkable experience for all of us.

We truly hope you enjoyed experiencing a bit of this beautiful area through our video. But if this episode does nothing else, I hope that it will help dispel some of the myths about people in this area being rude and inconsiderate, as I have been warned most of my life. That was NOT our experience at all, but also I want to be clear that I truly believe you most often find what YOU bring. We try to bring kindness and friendliness wherever we go...but we are obviously not perfect at this. So if you visit, bring your best self and you will have a much better chance of having a very positive experience.
