A trip to Cape Disappointment -Washington State Park, USA. Set to relaxing music. The video features two different light houses one on the Pacific Ocean side and the other on the Columbia River. The park is located at the mouth of the Columbia River on the Northern Washington side. One can see cormorant, sea gulls, pelican and fishing boats in the video. The area includes jetties, sand dunes, forest and wetlands. To the left of the light house on the columbia river, when looking up from the water, one can see the remnants of Fort Canby.
Washington Coast - Cape Disappointment
On our way down to Oregon, we took a side trip to find the lighthouse at Cape Disappointment. Located on the Southwestern border of Washington, Cape Disappointment actually has two lighthouses.
It was a very rainy and windy day. As we followed signs that said Lighthouse, little did we know that they were guiding us to a different light house. They were both beautiful though. We were not lost, just confused.

We took the GoPro Hero 4 Silver camera out for a hike with us today and visited the North Head Lighthouse in Cape Disappointment State Park located near Ilwaco, Washington.

Cape Disappointment - an aerial adventure
Cape Disappointment crowns the Southwest corner of Washington State - a towering bastion of headlands cloaked in ancient forest and crenelated by abandoned fortresses that hearken back to the second world war. Lighthouses keep a watchful eye over the tide pools, grassy meadows, and vast sandy beaches girded by the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean. From the quiet tide lands of Baker Bay to the tumultuous coves of Beards Hollow, this Pacific Northwest gem is a paradise both for wildlife and adventure seekers.
Note that all takeoff and landing points used in the making of this video were located outside of the borders of the state park.
