11/11 -- On my family trip down to NJ, they decided to hit the Cape May County Park & Zoo in Cape May Court House. Since I had been there 3 times already, I sneaked out, found a Lake, and fished it for Largemouth Bass!
All 4 Bass in the video were caught on a Z-man Chatterbait Micro, white/chartreuse. I wished I had fished that place for a little bit longer, but my family had to leave! Short fishing session :)
Part 5 of Florida Fishing trip is coming up soon, as well as my MTBslam for the month of November, my salt water trip down to Atlantic City, and my epic fishing day with 1Rod1ReelFishing under heavy rain.
Stay tuned. :)

Cape May County Zoological Society/ZooFriends, a 501 non-profit NJ corporation, is the official Support Organization of the Cape May County Park & Zoo. Since 1986 the Society has continuously provided the private sector funding needed to develop new exhibits, improve facilities, purchase zoo equipment and make acquisitions for the animal collection. The Society makes significant contributions to conservation and endeavors to encourage the community's interest and enjoyment of the Zoo.
In 1942, a 40 acres area of wooded land, formerly a plantation owned by the Matthews family, was donated to Cape May County. The area later housed the 4-H fair. In 1967, the Cape May Park Commission was established to maintain the county's parks. The land originally donated in 1942 became Park Central, which increased in size eventually to 200 acres . In 1978, the Cape May County Park & Zoo was created within Park Central.
In the February 5–6, 2010 North American blizzard, the enclosure of the bald eagle habitat was destroyed by the heavy snow fall. It has since been rebuilt.
The Walter Trettin Snow Leopard Habitat was completed in 2016.
The zoo was voted the 13th best zoo in the world and the 5th best zoo in the United States in TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice 2015. TripAdvisor also named the zoo the 3rd best in the nation in 2012.

The Zoo Review - Cape May County Zoo
I'm reviewing a zoo. The Cape May County Zoo to be exact. I will go through my experience with pros and cons in order to give the best and most accurate judgement of a zoo ever given before. These are legitimate criticisms. No I did not use the format of a review to have an excuse to just go to a zoo and fool around. That would be ridiculous.

Cape May County Zoo Turns 40
County Zoo Turns 40
The county zoo celebrated its 40th anniversary June 9 at the Cape May County Zoo and Park.
Throughout its 40 years as a free zoo, the attraction has transformed from a small zoo with just a lion, spider monkeys, some barnyard animals, and wildlife into one of the county’s premier attractions.
Events at the celebration included the announcement of the name of the newest baby giraffe, Kifeda. Kifeda, born Nov. 17, 2017, was the star of a media tour earlier in the day along with his mother and another female giraffe.
The event also boasted magic shows, face painting, and more for families looking to celebrate.
New Jersey’s Secretary of State Tahesha Way was on hand at the ceremony with Sen. Jeff Van Drew, Assemblyman Robert Andrzejczak, and county freeholders.
The zoo’s 40th-anniversary event also coincided with “Conservation Day,” an event where guests had the chance to learn more about how the animals at the zoo are preserved and cared for.
The celebration concluded with the introduction of a male Eastern Mountain Bongo calf, born April 2, 2018, who just recently started venturing outside onto the Zoo’s African Savanna.
The zoo was recently accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums for the fifth year in a row. Less than 10 percent of all zoos nationwide are currently accredited.
