Fishing Fort Myers Beach - Fishing Buddy Charters
This video was taken by Katlin & Jacob Jeffcoat from Sioux Falls SD. Uncle Mike Dill charted with Fishing Buddy Charters and reported enjoying a wonderful afternoon of sightseeing and fishing. This is a video of a Tarpon on the line.
Capt John had helped bait and cast the lines, for Katlin and Jacob, as we anchored near the Sanibel Bridge. The swift tide was moving out pretty fast and we noticed Tarpon rolling behind the pylons, just looking for a quick snack. Captain John had just finished baiting ( with large pinfish ) and casting poles for Katlin and Jacob.
A couple of minutes went by and Capt John decided to check Jacobs pole when it struck. Capt John quickly gave the pole to Jacob and he worked it for maybe 10 to 12 minutes and decided to hand it over to Uncle Mike. What a hoot!!!!
This is the stuff you only see on TV, right? And there we were, pulling in this beautiful shinny sliver monster, a 85 lb Tarpon. As we watched in amazement Capt John released the strong fish back into his home, away he went. But the memories of that moment and the dancing dolphins behind the wake, will always be
etched in our memories forever. Priceless!!!!

I'll start out by apologising for my terrible video/narration skills, and a correction. I'm neither a youtuber or a yacht broker. To clarify, the boats engines are 12V71TI's. The port runs perfectly and the starboard has just been completely rebuilt including blowers, heads, liners and new governor. You have to be on board to see the attention to detail and how thoroughly this boat has been gone through. Just hauled out for bottom inspection which it passed with ease. Repainted from keel to wheelhouse, inside and out.
