Worldwide Adoration - Christ the King - 23.11.2019
Let us adore the King of the Universe!
Let all nations be united as one community, as Psalm 87 says, where the motto of the International Eucharistic Congress 2020 comes from.
On Saturday 23 November, the vigil of the feast of Christ the King, let us come together in thousands of churches around the world for a one-hour adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in order to see Jesus, ‘the image of the unseen God’.
Let us pray for all those who haven’t met Him yet.
If Jesus is your King, too, join us! Help us by organizing the adoration in your church, in your community and register at corpusdomini.iec2020.hu, or select a site here to join.
We hope this year to summon even more people in a joint adoration of Jesus, the King of the Universe.
Commissioned by the IEC Secretary.

The Sedlec Ossuary is a small Roman Catholic chapel, located beneath the Cemetery Church of All Saints part of the former Sedlec Abbey in Sedlec, a suburb of Kutná Hora in the Czech Republic. The ossuary is estimated to contain the skeletons of between 400,000 and 700,000 people, whose bones have, in many cases, been artistically arranged to form decorations and furnishings for the chapel. The ossuary is among the most visited tourist attractions of the Czech Republic - attracting over 200,000 visitors annually.
Four enormous bell-shaped mounds occupy the corners of the chapel. An enormous chandelier of bones, which contains at least one of every bone in the human body, hangs from the center of the nave with garlands of skulls draping the vault. Other works include piers and monstrances flanking the altar, a coat of arms of the House of Schwarzenberg, and the signature of Rint, also executed in bone, on the wall near the entrance.

The Basilica church of St. Ursula is located in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is built upon the ancient ruins of a Roman cemetery, where the 11,000 virgins associated with the legend of Saint Ursula are said to have been buried. The church has an impressive reliquary created from the bones of the former occupants of the cemetery. It is one of the twelve Romanesque churches of Cologne and was designated a Minor Basilica on 25 June 1920. While the nave and crossing tower are Romanesque, the choir has been rebuilt in the Gothic style.

The chapel was inspired and commissioned by local rancher and sculptor Marguerite Brunswig Staude, who had been inspired in 1932 by the newly constructed Empire State Building to build such a church. After an attempt to do so in Budapest, Hungary (with the help of Lloyd Wright, son of noted architect Frank Lloyd Wright) was aborted due to the outbreak of World War II, she decided to build the church in her native region.
Richard Hein was chosen as project architect, and the design was executed by architect August K. Strotz, both from the firm of Anshen & Allen. The chapel is built on Coconino National Forest land; the late Senator Barry Goldwater assisted Staude in obtaining a special-use permit. The construction supervisor was Fred Courkos, who built the chapel in 18 months at a cost of US$300,000. The chapel was completed in 1956.

cethedral of maringa is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in downtown Maringá, Paraná, Brazil, reaching 124 m in height. It was completed in 1972 and is the tallest church in South America and the 16th tallest in the world.
Architect José Augusto Bellucci was inspired by the Soviet sputnik satellites when he designed the cathedral's modernist, conical shape. The design was idealized by the archbishop Dom Jaime Luiz Coelho.
The foundation stone, a piece of marble from St. Peter's Basilica in Rome blessed by Pope Pius XII, was laid on August 15, 1958. The church was built between July 1959 and May 10, 1972, the 25th anniversary of the city.

Mayerling Incident
The Mayerling Incident is the series of events leading to the apparent murder-suicide of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria (21 August 1858 – 30 January 1889) and his lover Baroness Mary Vetsera (19 March 1871 – 30 January 1889). Rudolf was the only son of Emperor Franz Josef I of Austria and Empress Elisabeth, and heir to the throne of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Rudolf's mistress was the daughter of Baron Albin Vetsera, a diplomat at the Austrian court. The bodies of the 30-year-old Archduke and the 17-year-old baroness were discovered in the Imperial hunting lodge at Mayerling in the Vienna Woods, fifteen miles southwest of the capital, on the morning of 30 January 1889.
The death of the crown prince had momentous consequences for the course of history in the nineteenth century. It had a devastating effect on the already compromised marriage of the Imperial couple and interrupted the security inherent in the immediate line of Habsburg dynastic succession. As Rudolf had no son, the succession would pass to Franz Joseph's brother, Karl Ludwig and his issue, Archduke Franz Ferdinand. This destabilization endangered the growing reconciliation between the Austrian and the Hungarian factions of the empire, which became a catalyst of the developments that led to the assassination of the Archduke and his wife Sophie by Gavrilo Princip, a Yugoslav nationalist and ethnic Serb at Sarajevo in June 1914 and the subsequent drift into the First World War.

♛Douay-Rheims Holy Bible | 1 Paralipomenon(1 Chronicles)✠
Welcome To The Bible Lounge.
This side of YouTube is on the Holy Bible. Feel free to Relax and Hear the word of God. The Douay Rheims is a very popular translation of the Vulgate edition of the Bible into English.
Those familiar with the Douay-Rheims bible will know that it is one of the most beautiful and accurate bible translations available today – a word for word translation of the Clementine vulgate which St Jeromes translation.
Douay-Rheims version is an authorized catholic bible Translated from the Latin Vulgate. Diligently compared with the Hebrew, Greek, and other editions in divers languages.
The old testament first published by the English college at Douay, a.D. 1609 and the new testament first published by the English college at Rheims, a.D. 1582, with annotations, references, and an historical and chronological index. The whole revised and diligently compared with the Latin Vulgate by bishop Richard Challoner, a.D. 1749-1752 his eminence James cardinal gibbons archbishop of Baltimore. We maintain that it is still the best and safest version of the bible in English. Translated with profound respect for every word. The Latin version of the Bible in common use in the Catholic Church and declared authentic or authoritative by the Council of Trent. (Catholic Dictionary) The Vulgate is the only formally 'canonized' translation of the Bible. The Vulgate was prepared by St. Jerome at the command of Pope Damasus in the fourth century. As Pope Benedict XV has stated, [St. Jerome's] unceasing reading of the Bible and his painstaking study of each book - nay, of every phrase and word - gave him a knowledge of the text such as no other ecclesiastical writer of old possessed. It is due to this familiarity with the text and to his own acute judgment that the Vulgate version Jerome made is, in the judgment of all capable men, preferable to any other ancient version, since it appears to give us the sense of the original more accurately and with greater elegance than they. The said Vulgate, 'approved by so many centuries of use in the Church' was pronounced by the Council of Trent 'authentic,' and the same Council insisted that it was to be used in teaching and in the liturgy (Pope Benedict XV, Spiritus Paraclitus, 1920 A.D.) As the Council of Trent stated, Moreover, the same sacred and holy Synod taking into consideration that no small benefit can accrue to the Church of God, if it be made known which one of all the Latin editions of the sacred books which are in circulation is to be considered authentic, has decided and declares that the said old Vulgate edition, which has been approved by the Church itself through long usage for so many centuries in public lectures, disputations, sermons, and expositions, be considered authentic, and that no one under any pretext whatsoever dare or presume to reject it. (Council of Trent, 1546 A.D.)
The Bible is not easy to understand, translate or interpret. Not only does the Bible contain mysteries above the human intellect, but it also uses various literary forms and must be interpreted according to the proper sense. St. Peter himself, in Holy Scripture, speaks of the difficulty of Scripture: And consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, also wrote to you, speaking of these things as he does in all his letters. In them there are some things hard to understand that the ignorant and unstable distort to their own destruction, just as they do the other scriptures. To really be an expert on the Bible, you would have to be an expert on ancient languages, ancient practices, archeology, history, etc. You would have to look at who writings were directed at, what the circumstances were, what local customs were, and at all the subtleties involved. You would also have to bear in mind that words used in Scripture may mean different things - and that they may have meant altogether different things in their original languages. And further, you would have to deal with the fact that Scripture may be obscure, subtle, and hard to grasp.
St Jerome: A man who is well grounded in the testimonies of the Scripture is the bulwark of the Church
St Jerome: Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ
St Jerome: When we pray, we speak to God; but when we read(the Word of God), God speaks to us

Zita of Bourbon-Parma
Zita of Bourbon-Parma was the wife of Emperor Charles of Austria. As such, she was the last Empress of Austria, Queen of Hungary, and Queen of Bohemia.
Born as the seventeenth child of the dispossessed Robert I, Duke of Parma and his second wife Infanta Maria Antonia of Portugal, Zita married the then Archduke Charles of Austria in 1911. Charles became heir presumptive to the Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria in 1914 after the assassination of his uncle Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, and acceded to the throne in 1916 after the old emperor's death.

Funeral of Otto von Habsburg (July 16th 2011)
All pictures and all clips are taken/recorded by me. I've been at that wonderful funeral, that means I watched it live on the Stepansplatz and the Neuen Markt. The funeral procession was beautiful, with all the men in uniforms and the clergy and Otto von Habsburg's family. In the end of the video you'll see some pictures of the Kapuziner-/Kaisergruft, where he has benn brought to. The (now) typical burial rituals of the Habsburger's is simply beautiful, as I saw today. R.I.P. Otto von Habsburg, son of Austria's last emperor (Karl). 1912-2011. Many important people came to the obsequies, such as the Royal Swedish couple.
The music is the Kaiserhymne, written by Haydn (the melody now is the national anthem of Germany, but the Kasierhymne is the former national anthem of Austria! The lyrics are-of course-totally different):
1. Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser,
unsern guten Kaiser Franz!
Hoch als Herrscher, hoch als Weiser
steht er in des Ruhmes Glanz.
Liebe windet Lorbeerreiser
ihm zu ewig grünem Kranz.
Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser,
unsern guten Kaiser Franz!
2. Über blühende Gefilde
reicht sein Zepter weit und breit.
Säulen seines Throns sind Milde,
Biedersinn und Redlichkeit.
Und von seinem Wappenschilde
Strahlet die Gerechtigkeit.
Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser,
unsern guten Kaiser Franz!
3. Sich mit Tugenden zu schmücken,
achtet er der Sorgen wert.
Nicht, um Völker zu erdrücken,
flammt in seiner Hand das Schwert;
sie zu segnen, zu beglücken,
ist der Preis, den er begehrt.
Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser,
unsern guten Kaiser Franz!
4. Er zerbrach der Knechtschaft Bande,
hob zur Freiheit uns empor.
Früh erleb' er deutscher Lande,
deutscher Völker höchsten Flor
und vernehme noch am Rande
später Gruft der Enkel Chor:
Gott erhalte Franz den Kaiser,
unsern guten Kaiser Franz!
ENGLISH TRANSLATION:
1. God save Franz, the Emperor,
Our good Emperor Franz!
Long may live Franz, the Emperor,
In the brightest shine of fortune!
Laurels may flourish,
Whereever he walks, as a wreath of honour!
God save Franz, the Emperor,
Our good Emperor Franz!
2. Let from his banners tops
Shine victory and fruitfulness!
Let always in his council sit
Wisdom, intelligence, honesty!
And with his sovereign flashes
Govern only righteousness!
God save Franz, the Emperor,
Our good Emperor Franz!
3. Flow with your gift's wealth
Over him, his house and empire!
Break the might of evil, and uncover
Every rogue and knavish trick!
Your law may always be His will, And this may be like a law for us.
God save Franz, the Emperor,
Our good Emperor Franz!
4. Happy he may experience his land's,
And all his people's highest bloom!
See them, joined as one through brother's bonds,
Tower over all the others!
And may even listen on the edge
Of later tomb the grandchildren's choir:
God save Franz, the Emperor,
Our good Emperor Franz!

1. Nieskończona, najśliczniejsza, Jezu, miłości!
Niepojętej i prawdziwej źródło słodkości!
Słońce, miesiąc wraz z gwiazdami, niebo wszystko z Aniołami
Twej piękności się dziwują, lecz nie pojmują.
2. Jakżeś dla mnie był na krzyżu bardzo zraniony
I od głowy aż po stopy wszystek skrwawiony,
Gwoźdźmi srodze przykowany, rózgą krwawo biczowany
cierniem ukoronowany, policzkowany.
3. Z serca Twego najświętszego źródło wypływa,
Które grzeszne dusze ludzkie z winy obmywa;
I napawa je nadzieją, że nad śniegi wybieleją
I w Twojego serca ranie znajdą wytrwanie.
4. O nadziejo wdzięczna Jezu, bardzo zraniony!
O wesele niepojęte w smutku będących!
Tyś pociechą, Tyś radością, Tyś rozkoszą i słodkością.
Jezu, z serca ulubiony, bądź pochwalony!
5. Od Twej łaski nie oddalaj sługi Twojego,
Do Królestwa racz przypuścić pożądanego;
Niech oblicze święte Twoje oglądam, kochanie moje,
Wychwalając, Jezu, Ciebie, na wieki w niebie.

SUMMARY
=======
Jozef Tiso (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈjɔzɛf ˈtisɔ]; 13 October 1887 –18 April 1947) was a Slovak politician and Roman Catholic priest who governed the Slovak Republic from 1939 to 1945, a client state of Nazi Germany during World War II. After the war, he was executed in 1947 for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Bratislava.
Born in 1887 to Slovak parents in Bytča, then part of Austria-Hungary, Tiso studied several languages during his school career, including Hebrew and German. He was introduced to priesthood from an early age and helped combat local poverty and alcoholism in what is now Slovakia. He joined the Slovak People's Party (Slovenská ľudová strana) in 1918 and became party leader in 1938 following the death of Andrej Hlinka. When Nazi Germany seized Czechoslovakia in 1938, the German authorities founded the Slovak Republic out of Czechoslovakia, while the Czech portion became the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. Tiso became the Republic's President in 1939.
Tiso collaborated with Germany in deportations of Jews, deporting many Slovak Jews to extermination and concentration camps in Germany, while some Jews in Slovakia were murdered outright. An anti-fascist partisan insurgency was waged against Tiso, culminating in the Slovak National Uprising in 1944, which was suppressed by German authorities with many of its leaders executed.
When the Soviet Red Army overran the last parts of western Slovakia in April 1945, Tiso fled to Austria and then Germany where American troops arrested him and then had him extradited back to the reformed Czechoslovakia, where he was convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and then executed by hanging in 1947 and buried in Bratislava.
Mummy
A mummy is a deceased human or animal whose skin and organs have been preserved by either intentional or accidental exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, or lack of air, so that the recovered body does not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions. Some authorities restrict the use of the term to bodies deliberately embalmed with chemicals, but the use of the word to cover accidentally desiccated bodies goes back to at least 1615 AD. (See the section Etymology and meaning.)
Mummies of humans and other animals have been found on every continent, both as a result of natural preservation through unusual conditions, and as cultural artifacts. Over one million animal mummies have been found in Egypt, many of which are cats. (See: Animal mummy)

AmaWaterways Excursions from Rhine Gorge to Trier, Germany on Prague to Paris European River Cruise
AmaWaterways Excursions from Bamberg to Rudisheim, Germany during Prague to Paris River Cruise on the Main, Rhine and Mosel Rivers documented by travel filmmmaker Clint Denn. During this AmaWaterways River Cruise through the heart of Europe starting in Prague, Czech, Republic the second part this European River Cruise starts at the Rhine Gorge and goes through Koblenz, Cochem, Zell, Bernkastel and Trier in Southern Gernany before ending in Paris, France.
Koblenz is a German city situated on both banks of the Rhine at its confluence with the Moselle, where the Deutsches Eck (German Corner) and its monument (Emperor William I on horseback) are situated. As Koblenz was one of the military posts established by Drusus about 8 BC, the town celebrated its 2000th anniversary in 1992. After Mainz and Ludwigshafen am Rhein, it is the third largest city in Rhineland-Palatinate, with a population of c. 106,000 (2006). Koblenz lies in the Rhineland, 92 kilometers (57 mi) southeast of Cologne by rail.
As early as Celtic and Roman times, Cochem was settled. In 886, it had its first documentary mention as Villa cuchema. Other names yielded by history are Cuhckeme and Chuckeme in 893, Cochemo in 1051, Chuchumo in 1056, Kuchema in 1130, Cuchemo in 1136, Cocheme in 1144, then Cuchme, and into the 18th century Cochheim or Cocheim. Cochem was an Imperial estate. It was pledged by King Adolf of Nassau in 1294 to the Archbishopric of Trier and remained Electoral-Trier territory until the French occupation began in 1794. In 1332, Cochem was granted town rights, and shortly thereafter, the town fortifications, which still stand today, were built. Between 1423 and 1425, the town was stricken with a Plague epidemic. In 1623, Elector Lothar von Metternich brought about the founding of a Capuchin monastery. In the Thirty Years' War, the town was besieged, but not conquered. In 1689, King Louis XIV's troops first burnt the Winneburg (castle) down and then conquered the town of Cochem with its castle. Reconstruction was long and drawn out. Beginning in 1794, Cochem lay under French rule. In 1815 it was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna.
In the first half of the 11th century, Bernkastel had its first documentary mention. At the turn of the 8th century, a geographer described a place called Princastellum. This is said to be evidence of a Roman castellum in the 4th century near today's Landshut castle ruin. Pointing to this are, among other things, fittings and finds of ceramic and iron underneath the castle. The 12th-century form of the name, Beronis castellum, was a learned re-Latinization, which was related to Adalbero von Luxemburg. Work was begun on the third castle building under the lordship of Archbishop of Trier Heinrich II of Finstingen.
The city is the oldest seat of a Christian bishop north of the Alps. In the Middle Ages, the Archbishop of Trier was an important prince of the church, as the Archbishopric of Trier controlled land from the French border to the Rhine. The Archbishop also had great significance as one of the seven electors of the Holy Roman Empire.
With an approximate population of 105,000 Trier is ranked fourth among the state's largest cities; after Mainz, Ludwigshafen, and Koblenz.[3] The nearest large cities in Germany are Saarbrücken, some 80 km southeast, and Koblenz, about 100 km northeast. The closest city to Trier is the capital of Luxembourg, some 50 km to the southwest.
Trier is home to the University of Trier, the administration of the Trier-Saarburg district and the seat of the ADD, which until 1999 was the borough authority of Trier, and the Academy of European Law (ERA). It is one of the five central places of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Along with Luxembourg, Metz and Saarbrücken, fellow constituent members of the QuattroPole union of cities, it also forms a central place of the greater region encompassing Saar-Lor-Lux (Saarland, Lorraine and Luxembourg), Rhineland-Palatinate, and Wallonia.
