ST LOUIS-GATEWAY ARCH-BUDWEISER TOUR-TRANSPORTATION MUSEUM-ECONOMY MUSEUM-BLUES MUSEUM-EP23
Left Casino Queen RV Park after 7 nights in St. Louis, MO. It was one hot strip of Asphalt! Thank God for our 45,000 BTU’s of A/C capacity.
This RV Park is a GREAT central location for all the things to see,…….we were within 10 minutes of most things to do, NEVER more than 20 minutes.
We saved our St. Louis Botanical Garden Tour, and our St. Louis 27 mile bike ride video along the Mississippi river for later.
Make sure you stop back for those! The bike ride is along the ST. Louis levee walls, and it is interesting.
This video is a collection of visits. We go to the St. Louis Arch, Transportation Museum,Budweiser Factory Tour, Economy Museum and finish up with the St. Louis Blues Museum.
If time is limited, I would prioritize them in the order I have listed them. The Gateway Arch is this most impressive and packed with information, and the Blues Museum was the least impressive and interesting.

Crazy UFO over St. Louis! WTF is that?
Welcome to fantastic funky Friday! We're taking a look at a very strange unidentified object over the Gateway Arch in St. Louis Missouri. This one is weird. What is it? Aliens? Secret Technology? A Camera on drugs?

Surveillance footage recorded at Malcolm W Martin Memorial Park on Tuesday and posted to Facebook shows the mysterious object hovering over the famous arch. “We guarantee you will be perplexed if you watch all 5 minutes of this surveillance footage!” explained the Park, in a post on its Facebook page. The video has been viewed 615,000 times.
Possible explanations for the light suggested by commenters on Facebook include a drone with a unidirectional light or a Chinese lantern.
Fox 2 News also received video footage of the odd light from Chase Rhoads, who said that he saw something strange over the arch early Tuesday morning. Scott Air Force Base said there was nothing out of the ordinary to report when contacted by Fox 2 News, and a spokesman for the National Park Service said there were no reports of anything strange on Tuesday.
This is not the first time that a mysterious object has been spotted near the St. Louis landmark. Video from the same camera at Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park also captured an unexplained object that appeared in broad daylight on July 14 2016.
Earlier this year video of a mysterious object near a military base in Dayton, Ohio, also had the internet buzzing.
Last month, a strange, apparently burning object was spotted in the sky over parts of the western U.S. , generating plenty of chatter on social media. The object was later identified as a Chinese rocket burning up on re-entry into the Earth’s atmosphere.
In January the CIA offered a peek into its ‘X-files,’ shining a spotlight on a series of once-classified UFO documents. The UFO documents, which date primarily from the 1940s and 1950s, are among hundreds that the CIA declassified in 1978.
The Midwestern oddities just keep rolling in. On Wednesday we told you about a mysterious clown lurking around Green Bay, Wisconsin overpasses. And now today comes news of another enigma from a neighbor state: a series of “unexplained lights” hovering near the St. Louis Gateway Arch at around 2:20 am on Tuesday morning.
Security-camera footage from Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, in East St. Louis, Illinois, shows a light hovering near the top of the frame. It intermittently fades in and out, then appears to travel west. Then it lingers near the Arch for a stretch before fading out. Finally, it appears back on the left side of the frame. Then, end of video.
Amazing, right?
At least one other video exists. It was shared with St. Louis local new channel Fox 2 by Chase Rhodes, an “independent cleaning consultant,” who shot footage while on break, outside the Casino Queen riverboat between 2:30 and 3 a.m.

St. Louis, Missouri: Gateway to the West | Traveling Robert
In this week's video we are visiting St. Louis, Missouri: The Gateway to the West.
As it is our tradition lately we are going to do the most important or touristy thing first, and then work our way down in order of priority. The undisputed winner in this city is the Gateway Arch, an engineering and architectural marvel. It is the tallest arch in the world and the tallest monument in the western hemisphere. Its catenary shape makes it perfectly balanced on the ground. It has a unique elevator system that is actually a closer cousin to a Ferris wheel. Due to the nature of the arch a traditional vertical elevator was impractical so they designed this unique contraption for such purpose.
After aimlessly wandering a nearly deserted downtown we decided to visit what is arguably the next best known landmark here: The Anheuser-Busch brewery. They have an excellent complimentary tour in which you visit the Clydesdales and their historic stable, the aging cellar, the also historic brew house and then you get free beer.
After our beer drinking extravaganza we felt it was only appropriate to sample some authentic St. Louis Barbecue, so we went to Pappy's Smokehouse, which didn't disappoint. For desert we decided to try another St. Louis staple, frozen custard. For that we went to Ted Drewes Frozen Custard, in the Dutchtown neighborhood. The area doesn't have the best reputation when it comes to crime rate, but we had no problems.
We stayed two nights at the Casino Queen RV Park, just across the river in East St. Louis, Illinois. From here we continued towards our next destination: Memphis, Tennessee. On the way there we had lunch at another unique and iconic restaurant called Lambert's Cafe, Home of the Throwed Rolls. Eventually we made it our destination, the Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River RV Park in West Memphis, Arkansas.
I hope you enjoy this week's video. See you on the next destination.
