La cathédrale Saint-Vincent-de-Paul (arabe : كاتدرائية القديس فنسون دو بول بتونس) ou simplement cathédrale de Tunis est la cathédrale de rite catholique de la ville de Tunis (Tunisie).
Construite entre 1893 et 1897, elle porte le nom de saint Vincent de Paul, le fameux fondateur des lazaristes et des filles de la Charité et qui fut — alors qu'il était jeune prêtre — capturé puis vendu comme esclave à Tunis au tout début du xviie siècle.،،

The Cathedral of St Vincent de Paul is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Tunis.Dedicated to Saint Vincent de Paul, patron saint of charity, the cathedral is the see of the Archdiocese of Tunis.It is situated in the Place de l'Indépendence in the Ville Nouvelle, a crossroads between Avenue Habib Bourguiba and Avenue de France, opposite the French embassy.The church was built in a mixture of styles, including Moorish revival, Gothic revival, and Neo-Byzantine.

Visite de la cathédrale Saint Vincent de Paul de Tunis
J'ai eu la chance enfin d'entrer visiter cette cathédrale en plein coeur du centre-ville. Nous sommes en décembre et c’est Noël. L’église est décorée pour l’occasion. J’ai aussi découvert sur les murs qu’il y avait des Tunisiens de l’époque qui étaient chrétiens et qui ont donné la messe dans la cathédrale.

Tunis tourist attractions and places to visit
Tunis is the capital and the largest city of Tunisia. At its core lies its ancient medina, a World Heritage Site. East of the medina through the Sea Gate (also known as the Bab el Bhar and the Porte de France) begins the modern city, or Ville Nouvelle, traversed by the grand Avenue Habib Bourguiba, where the colonial-era buildings provide a clear contrast to smaller, older structures. Further away by the sea lie the suburbs of Carthage, La Marsa, and Sidi Bou Said.
The most visited parts of the city are the squares of Bab Suika-Suker and Kasbah. The main points of interest of Tunis are: the Ezzitouna Mosque, the Baths of Antoninus, Zaytuna Mosque, Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul, Court of Dar Ben Abdallah, St. Louis Cathedral and Bardo National Museum. The airport is located kilometers northeast of downtown.

This film is taken within both the Carthage National Museum and the Saint Louis Cathedral, which is next to the museum.
Carthage National Museum, is a national museum displaying archaeological items; it is sited at the hill of Byrsa in the heart of the city of Carthage. Founded in 1875, it is one of the country's most extensive museums.
It allows the visitor to appreciate the magnitude of the city during the Punic and Roman eras. Some of the best pieces found in excavations are limestone/marble carvings, depicting animals, plants and even human sculptures. Of special note is a marble sarcophagus of a priest and priestess from the 3rd century BC, discovered in the necropolis of Carthage. The Museum also has a noted collection of masks and jewellery in cast glass, Roman mosaics including the famous Lady of Carthage, a vast collection of Roman amphoras. It also contains numerous local items from the period of the Byzantine Empire. Also on display are objects of ivory.
Saint Louis Cathedral is no longer used for worship but hosts concerts of Tunisian music and classical music. The only Roman Catholic cathedral operating in Tunisia is now the Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul in Tunis.

La cathédrale Saint-Louis de Carthage (arabe : كاتدرائية القديس لويس) est une ancienne cathédrale catholique située à Carthage (Tunisie). Désaffectée pour le culte, elle est connue depuis 1993 sous le nom d'Acropolium comme un lieu culturel accueillant rencontres, expositions ou concerts[1].
Couvrant une surface de 1 800 m2[2], elle se trouve au sommet de la colline de Byrsa et à proximité immédiate des ruines de l'antique cité punique puis romaine.
