Catterick is a village, civil parish and electoral ward in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England.It is 8.5 miles north-west of the county town of Northallerton just to the west of the River Swale.It lends its name to nearby Catterick Garrison and the nearby hamlet of Catterick Bridge, the home of Catterick Racecourse where the village Sunday market is held.It lies on the route of the old Roman Road of Dere Street and is the site of the Roman fortification of Cataractonium.

MURDANOVA powered home on 17th June to take the feature race, The Every Race Live on Racing TV Handicap Stakes, for owner Mr Phil Slater. Ridden by Cam Hardie and trained by Rebecca Menzies. Congratulations to all connections!
The race meeting on Monday 17th June was Catterick's opening fixture following a £600,000 investment in its facilities.

We visited the Northern Racing College and Micky Hammond Racing to find out more about working in the racing industry. There is so much opportunity in racing, for people from all different backgrounds, and there is no telling where it will take you!

Without a win since May 2017, HELLS BABE landed the Racing TV Profits Returned to Racing Handicap on 12th August for Michael Appleby and Hollie Doyle. The six year old mare raced prominently thoughout and was game once challenged up the home straight. She dug deep inside the final half furlong and was drawing clear at the line. Congratulations to all connections!
