Bridal Veil Falls, Niagara Falls, New York State, United States, North America
The Bridal Veil Falls is the smallest of the three waterfalls that make up Niagara Falls. It is located on the U.S. side (in New York State); Luna Island separates it from the American Falls and Goat Island separates it from the Horseshoe Falls. The Bridal Veil Falls faces to the northwest and has a crest 56 feet (17 m) wide. Luna Island being very small, the Bridal Veil is similar in appearance to the American Falls, starting with a vertical fall of 78 feet (24 m), followed by the water violently descending the talus boulders to the Maid of the Mist Pool 103 feet (31 m) below. The total vertical drop is 181 feet (55 m). The crest elevation of the Falls is 508 feet (155 m). The Cave of the Winds attraction allows visitors to walk up to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. A pedestrian bridge crosses from Goat Island to Luna Island several yards (meters) upstream from the crest of the falls. The waterfall has also been known in the past as Luna Falls and Iris Falls.

Niagara Falls State Park is one of the most beautiful places in the World!
Niagara Falls (/naɪˈæɡrə/) is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls of the Niagara falls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie mostly on the Canadian side and the American Falls entirely on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction. Niagara falls is a mustsee.

As much as I love the abundant green slime in this video, I always find the No Smoking sign to be particularly noteworthy. I don't see how someone would even be able to successfully smoke on the Hurricane Deck with the Bridal Veil Falls pounding on you from above.
The Cave of the Winds is located on Goat Island in Niagara Falls, New York, USA.

Niagara Falls Cave of the Winds Tour
Feel the force of Niagara Falls. The Cave of the Winds Tour at Niagara Falls, NY is the quintessential tourist way to get as close as possible to these magnificent falls. The cave has long since collapsed so one stands at the base of the falls and experiences tropical storm like conditions. Quite impressive and at $14 a real deal. It is self-guided and you can stay as long as you like on the decks and there are many birds in the river. I recommend going in the morning as you can see the Hurricane Deck was empty and also bring a waterproof camera. I was able to put my Polaroid Action Camera directly into the Bridal Veil Falls water stream. Of course morning means the sun is behind the falls so photography is not as dynamic, but this is all about the power of the falls. You will of course get wet regardless of the poncho if you go right up to the big boulder as close as possible. The boulder shields you from the direct force of the falls which of course would knock everybody off of their feet.

The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
Niagara Falls were formed when glaciers receded at the end of the Wisconsin glaciation (the last ice age), and water from the newly formed Great Lakes carved a path through the Niagara Escarpment en route to the Atlantic Ocean. While not exceptionally high, the Niagara Falls are very wide. More than six million cubic feet (168,000 m3) of water falls over the crest line every minute in high flow, and almost four million cubic feet (110,000 m3) on average.
The Niagara Falls are renowned both for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. Managing the balance between recreational, commercial, and industrial uses has been a challenge for the stewards of the falls since the 19th century.

Experiencing: Niagara Falls - Cave of the Winds - Bridal Veil Falls - Hurricane Deck
A thrilling walk on Niagara Falls’ wild side, the spectacular Cave of the Winds Tour takes visitors into a stormy mist zone, where “soaking up the experience” takes on new meaning!
The journey begins with an elevator ride 175 feet down into the Niagara Gorge. Geared-up in a souvenir rain poncho and specially designed sandals, guests follow wooden walkways along Niagara River to the Hurricane Deck, just a few breathtaking feet from the torrents of Niagara Falls. Here, rushing Bridal Veil Falls creates tropical storm-like conditions. Talk about a rush! Nowhere else on Earth gets you closer to the Falls!
Each spring, special-edition Cave of the Winds Tours are offered so visitors can experience a seasonal version of the attraction and see the decks being built for the upcoming season. Skilled workers rebuild the wooden boardwalks that will allow summer visitors to reach the Hurricane Deck – the walkways and decks are removed every November and reassembled each spring to protect them from the extreme winter weather conditions that prevail in the Niagara Gorge.
CAVE OF THE WINDS, NIAGARA FALLS / The Happy Healing Waters
The Cave of the Winds was a natural cave behind Bridal Veil Falls at Niagara Falls. The cave was some 130 feet (40m) high, 100 feet (30m) wide and 30 feet (9m) in depth. It was discovered in 1834, and was originally dubbed Aeolus Cave, after the Greek god of winds. Guided tours began officially in 1841, and continued until a rock fall in 1920 made it clear the passage was no longer safe. The tour officially reopened in 1924, now bringing visitors to the front of the Bridal Veil instead of behind it, on a series of decks and walkways. When you visit Niagara Falls you must included it in your itinerary, it's amazing & totally worth it.
