Taughannock Falls State Park | Cayuga Lake | Finger Lakes | New York
Taughannock Falls State Park is a 750-acre (3.0 km2) state park located in the Town of Ulysses in Tompkins County, New York in the United States. The park is northwest of Ithaca near Trumansburg. The park's namesake, Taughannock Falls, is a 215-foot (66 m) plunge waterfall that is the highest single-drop waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains.
The region surrounding Taughannock Falls State Park was home to the Cayuga people prior to their displacement from the area during the Clinton-Sullivan Campaign following the American Revolutionary War. Taughannock Creek was used as a source of power for mills and a gun factory in the early 19th century.
During the second half of the nineteenth century, steamboats, railroads and Victorian hotels were built in the region to serve tourists who traveled to view the falls. By 1925 the hotels were failing due to a decline in tourism, and New York State began acquiring land to form a park.
J.S. Halsey built a two and a half story hotel in 1850, known variously as the Cataract Hotel or Taughannock House (or simply as Halsey's Hotel) at the Taughannock Falls Overlook. Visitors could reach the hotel by taking a train to Cayuga Lake, take a steamboat across the lake to Goodwin's Point, then finally board a stagecoach to reach the hotel. The hotel site today is the location of the park visitor center and parking lot.

Smith Woods: Old Growth Forest Remnant in T-burg Walk in the Park 176
Join three authors of a new book about Smith Woods, an unusual old growth woodland in Trumansburg, NY, on an interpretive tour through the forest and its history and ecology, in this episode 176 of Walk in the Park. Trumansburg and Smith Woods are near Taughannock Falls State Park and are about ten miles from Ithaca, NY near the west shore of Cayuga Lake in New York's Finger Lakes region.
Old growth forests of this size are rare outside of the Adirondacks. This woodland has been extensively studied for decades by scientists from Cornell University. Smith Woods is owned and managed by Cayuga Nature Center and the Paleontological Research Institution in Ithaca, and is open to the public. It is used for education and research. Smith Woods is directly across the road from the Trumansburg Fairgrounds.
The guided tour through Smith Woods featured in this episode of Walk in the Park was presented by the History Center of Tompkins County. Marvin Pritts and Kurt Jordan of Cornell and S.K. List, historian for the Village of Trumansburg, led the tour. It was videotaped by Tony Ingraham, who is the producer of Walk in the Park, a weekly public access television series in Ithaca, NY.

The Best Places to Visit in New York State, USA
The Best Places to Visit in New York State, USA
New York State holds the biggest pull for visitors from around the world. The entire state of New York has plenty of attractions to keep you entertained. Besides the urban allure, culture, and shopping of Manhattan, much of New York State is still, in many ways, waiting to be discovered. The state is endowed with outstanding beauty and diversity of scenery. Although New Yorkers have long vacationed in the Catskill and Adirondack mountains, and at Long Island beaches, most have seen too little of the state between its tourist bookends, New York City and Niagara Falls. The historic Hudson Valley, a majestic river lined with elegant estates, is finally positioning itself as a destination, not just a day trip from the city.
Planning a trip to a state as large and diverse as New York involves a lot of decision making, so in this video we've tried to give some directions. We've chosen what we feel is the very best the state has to offer -- the places and experiences you won't want to miss. This video gives you an overview of New York State's highlights to get you started planning your trip.

GEOENGINEERED WEATHER a planet in crisis I am documenting the crimes against humanity/nature & the planet - -THESE ARE HEAVY METAL NANO PARTICLES & CHEMICALS sprayed by the UN & military complex jets - chemical ASSAULTS by toxic chemical weapons from our military & our government please reference my videos I dont know how anyone can except this as normal - day in and day out of this heavy METAL PARTICLES -chemical shield that is being sprayed all over us and the planet . The weather is changed so drastically and there are droughts in half the country and floods in the other half - these are all MAN MADE WEATHER PATTERNS -
UNLESS YOU CARE ENOUGH ABOUT YOUR CHILDREN AND YOUR FAMILY TO DO AN HOUR OF RESEARCH ON GEOENGINEERING - HAARP - WEATHER MANIPULATION- CHEMTRAILING - WE DONT HAVE MUCH LONGER TO LIVE ON THIS PLANET .our food supply is in grave danger from this heavy metal /illuminum spraying, we are almost doomed because of you people who do nothing . WE MUST start picking up the phones - we can not last much longer like this .
weeks and weeks go by and we dont see the sun, it is behind a heavy chemical sheild, the sky full of chemical clouds, the jets are up there spraying constantly , this is not normal weather this is man made geoengineered weather ,the sun is almost never present , we must stop them mass attack which took over the whole sky with CHEMICAL SPRAY-monsanto has the only seeds GMO' that will grow in illuminum laden soils.

. It is hard to miss the jets spraying when the sky is clear , which is not often , but notice any time the sky is clear the JETS ARE SPRAYING MORE CHEMICALS & the results of what is being done to us by our government & our military cowards who fly these jets . We are all being poisened ( see the list of toxins below ) and the sun is being blocked from shining ( also hard to miss around here is the chemical haze of sky garbage that is sprayed by the aerosol sprays of the jets .
If you are a government shill and tell me these are contrails - you will be BLOCKED & DELETED FOR MIS-INFORMATION & LIES .
these are not contrails ( NON EXSISTANT ) ,these are CHEMTRAILS- please do 30 minutes of research and then spread the word , our children are being poisened , we have lost 90 NINTY percent of the bat popultaion and 1/3 of the bee population. we are going to lose the ability to grow food in the highly acidic soil this poisen is leaving behind .here is a list of the poisens , please educate yourself & your loved ones and anyone that will listen . thanks for watching
Laboratory examination of those chemicals found that they were manufacturing wastes from military industry and biowarfare substances. In several laboratory analyses, the composition of chemtrails was revealed:
1. Aluminum barium 2. Aluminum Oxide 3. Bacilli and Molds 4. Pseudomonas Aeruginosa
5. Pseudomonas Florescens 6. Bacilli Amyloliquefaciens 7. Streptomyces
8. Enterobacteriaceae 9. Serratia Marcscens
10. Human white Blood Cells-A restrictor enzyme used in research labs to snip and combine DNA
11. Enterobacter Cloacal
12. Other Bacilli and other toxic molds capable of producing heart disease and meningitis as well as acute upper respiratory and gastrointestinal distress.
13. Carcinogen Zinc Cadmium Sulfide.
After chemtrails lingered, spread, covered entire skies and fell, reports of illnesses increased substantially, such as persistent hacking coughs, upper respiratory and intestinal distress, pneumonia, fatigue, lethargy, dizziness, disorientation, headaches, aching joints and muscles, nosebleeds, diarrhea, bloody stools, depression, anxiety, loss of bladder control, and nervous tics. Much of it is reported as flu and everyone but a few know that much of it is poisons dropped over our heads, inhaled, absorbed through our skins, and consumed in our food.

SUMMARY
=======
Ithaca is a city in the Finger Lakes region of New York. It is the seat of Tompkins County, as well as the largest community in the Ithaca–Tompkins County metropolitan area. This area contains the municipalities of the Town of Ithaca, the village of Cayuga Heights, and other towns and villages in Tompkins County. The city of Ithaca is located on the southern shore of Cayuga Lake, in Central New York, about 45 miles (72 km) south-west of Syracuse. It is named after the Greek island of Ithaca. Additionally, Ithaca is located 247 miles (398 km) southeast of Toronto, and 223 miles (359 km) northwest of New York City.
Ithaca is home to Cornell University, an Ivy League school of over 20,000 students, most of whom study at its local campus. In addition, Ithaca College is a private, nonsectarian, liberal arts college of over 7,000 students, located just south of the city in the Town of Ithaca, adding to the area's college town atmosphere. Nearby is Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3). These three colleges bring tens of thousands of students, who increase Ithaca's seasonal population during the school year. The city's voters are notably more liberal than those in the remainder of Tompkins County or in upstate New York, generally voting for Democratic Party candidates.
As of 2010, the city's population was 30,014. A 2017 census estimate stated the population was 31,006.
Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca is the North American seat of Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama.

Watkins Glen Gorge Trail - Finger Lakes, NY
This is a great trail to check out if you are ever up in the finger lakes. The trail is free to the public but parking is $8 per car if you use the lot. The trail is located at the bottom of Seneca Lake, in the town of Watkins Glen. If you plan to walk the trail, bring shoes with some traction because the ground will be wet from falling water. Also plan to get sprinkled on and don't wear too nice of shoes because it can be a little muddy in spots. That being said, the trail is still one of the most amazing wonders of nature that I have ever seen on the East Coast and is a must if you are anywhere in the area.

Thomas Gold (also known as Tommy Gold), born on May 22, 1920, died on June 22, 2004 was an Austrian-born astrophysicist, a professor of astronomy at Cornell University, a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, and a Fellow of the Royal Society (London). Gold was one of three young Cambridge scientists who in 1948 proposed the now mostly abandoned steady state hypothesis of the universe. Gold's work crossed academic and scientific boundaries, into biophysics, astronomy, aerospace engineering, and geophysics.
