Cenote Azul - located on the right side of the highway Playa Del Carmen - Tulum, it was my first and so far the most favorite unique Mexican natural creation formed by collapsing of surface limestone and exposing pure crystal clear ground water underneath.
Buy keeping it wild and well cared you can now enjoy snorkeling, free diving, 3m cliff jumping, and even discovering underground cavern for more adventurist individuals like Mathieu Benoit :))
Without fail you will love it even to just enjoy picnic (dont forget to bring snacks, there is no restaurants) and get free fish spa massage while being in the water.
The entrance fee 80 pesos 5 usd and you can rent equipment for cheap at the same place. Opened 9am-5pm.
I hardly recommend to visit that magical naturally made place, but for now Enjoy Our Video from that trip ;)))) Dont forget to press HD button for better quality ;)))

One of the top attractions in this area are the cenotes, pronounced: Seh-no-tays.
You’ll find 100’s of miles of this underground river system in the Riviera Maya.
You can learn more about these fascinating bodies of water on our blog post: What are Cenotes?
Some parts of these caves are completely underground, some are partially covered and some even sit on the surface like a lake.
You can find really impressive stalactites and stalagmites, some are just fun to swim in, and almost all are absolutely beautiful.
Cenote Azul is quite large.
There are several different areas with various depths, so if you are not a strong swimmer you can bring a lifejacket or rent one on-site for a minimal fee.
You can bring snacks and drinks or there is a small “shop” that sells bags of chips.
The main cenote area has a cliff you can jump from.
Just as entertaining is the people-watching as they try to convince themselves to do it.
Not a fan of heights? No sweat, there’s dock if you want to be able to jump without the height factor...
...There are many fish in this cenote in varying sizes. Many like to nibble at your feet, and I even had my own fish spa going on.
The shop does sell little bags of food for the fish if you want to feed them. There are catfish-like ones, some that kind of look like trout and then some smaller minnows.
You can either bring your snorkel gear or get some on-site for a small fee. You’ll see a few fish as well as the rock formations underwater.

¡¡Hola amigos mochileros!!
Bienvenidos de nuevo a este la canal de los más aventureros, la cita que nos reúne en este ocasión es la aventura que tuvimos en el Cenote Azul en Playa del Carmen.
Cenote viene del vocablo maya tz’onot, que significa Pozo sagrado o abismo. Estas lagunas de agua cristalina eran sagradas para la cultura maya, pues además de utilizarlo para proveerse del liquido vital, suponían que era una entrada al mundo de los dioses del inframundo.
El cenote azul es catalogado como uno de los mejores de Playa del Carmen y es uno de los destinos favoritos de los viajeros, en el podrás tener un chapuzón muy divertido y totalmente relajante, independientemente si vas solo o acompañado. Te invito a conocer este maravilloso lugar en mi video.

Playa Del Carmen + Cenote Azul
We explored Playa Del Carmen with Rachel's sister and brother-in-law. These videos are out of order so you'll see us introduce them in another video. We enjoyed our day so there wasn't much talking in this video, but the sights speak for themselves!
FOOD:
We went to the 50's diner, Comet 984. Everything is completely plant-based, including the heavenly milkshakes. For a very meat-like burger, try the Incredible burger. It's made with a patty that looks and tastes like meat! And do not pass on the homemade snickers milkshake!
CENOTE:
We went to Azul which is a short colectivo ride from Playa del Carmen. You can catch the colectivos on Calle 2 between 15th and 20th Avenue for 35 pesos. Cenote Azul is $100 pesos to enter for adults. It was busy but there was still plenty of room to swim!
