Places to see in ( Sedona - USA )
Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.
Nestled amid striking red sandstone formations at the south end of the 16-mile Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona attracts spiritual seekers, artists and healers, as well as day-trippers from Phoenix trying to escape the oppressive heat. Many New Age types believe that this area is the center of vortexes (not 'vortices' here in Sedona) that radiate the earth's power, and you'll find all sorts of alternative medicines and practices on display. More tangibly, the surrounding canyons offer outstanding hiking, biking, swimming and camping.
The town itself bustles with art galleries and expensive gourmet restaurants. In summer the traffic and the crowds can be heavy. Regionally, Oak Creek Canyon begins north of Uptown Sedona; the Village of Oak Creek, however, is south of the city.
Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness.
Sedona is located in the Upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona. Sedona has mild winters and hot summers. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.2 square miles (49.7 km2), of which 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.22%, is water. The red rocks of Sedona are formed by a unique layer of rock known as the Schnebly Hill Formation. The Schnebly Hill Formation is a thick layer of red to orange-colored sandstone found only in the Sedona vicinity. The sandstone, a member of the Supai Group, was deposited during the Permian Period.

Arizona Hotspots Episode 1 The Verde Valley
Arizona Hotspots Episode 1 The Verde Valley
In our first Episode we leave the common travel routes and dive into the hidden places of Verde Valley. Surrounded by red rocks and dozens of spectacular hiking routes we can't think of no better place to find our inner peace. In the western hills we find the former mining town Jerome which after its almost abandonment became a flourishing town for artists and those looking for art. Montezoma's Castle and Well, both mistakenly named after an aztec emperor reveal two old abandoned Indian settlements that are surprisingly well intact.

Eric Wallis, American painter, started oil painting at the age of seven painting en plein-air along with his father, Kent R. Wallis. Trekking through mountain forests and rural farmland, the two painted together, scenes of simple, quiet, yet soulful scenery. Eric became a child prodigy at the side of his experienced father. Many awards followed through Eric’s school years as he continued to find voice in visual clarity. His impressionistic style continued to develop color and texture the focus of the experience. Eric received a music scholarship at Utah State University but after teaching a percussion class at a local middle school, he quickly changed direction and embarked upon an education in painting.:
Eric studied with Adrian Van Suchtelen, an extraordinary figurative artist with traditional discipline at hand. Glen Edwards from Art Center, also with a traditional approach, guided Eric in a loose, impressionistic style. Figure painting was the emphasis at USU. Eric received a BFA in painting in 1992. In 1990 Eric embarked on a professional art career. He was accepted to hang in The Long Gallery of Scottsdale Arizona. Immediately it became a full time vocation so Eric worked to finish his junior and senior years at USU and devote himself to painting. For seventeen years Eric has been working 10-12 hour days to keep up with demand for his colorful, enjoyable paintings. His work has grown in popularity every year.

Vortex Whispers - Sacred Sites - Sedona Bell Rock USA - Native American Flute Meditation
There are several energy centers, or vortexes of subtle energy, located in the Sedona area. (In Sedona, the energy centers are referred to as vortexes rather than vortices.) The energy from these vortexes saturates the whole area in and around Sedona, and can be noticed in a subtle but general way anywhere around town. If you actually go to one of the vortex sites, which is where the energy is strongest, it can be a very uplifting experience. The energy you take in at one of these energy centers can stay with you and affect you positively for days afterwards.
The Energy of Sedona
In addition to being a beautiful and serene place, Sedona has long been known as a spiritual power center. This is because the power that emanates from the vortexes produces some of the most remarkable energy on the planet. This energy is the reason Sedona is full of people that are on the path, that is, people who have made a commitment to grow and become as much as they can spiritually. It is also the reason that such a large New Age community has sprung up in the Sedona area, bringing with it a variety of spiritual practices and alternative healing modalities, and it is the reason Sedona has sometimes been called a spiritual Disneyland.
We have personally found the energy centers at Sedona both exciting and growth inspiring. If you are at all sensitive to the more subtle things, the experience of standing at one of these vortexes, and letting the energy flow into you and through you, can be almost overwhelming. People come from all over the world to experience this.

If you were blindfolded and dropped off in Flagstaff, you would probably have no idea that you were even in Arizona unless somebody told you. It’s also got its unbeatable location for it being just an hour from the Grand Canyon, thirty miles from the world-famous Sedona, and just a walk from some of the best nature you could imagine. There are breweries galore, restaurants to rave about, and shops a-plenty located downtown, and it’s home to one of the oldest and coolest locations to view the stars in the United States, Lowell Observatory.

MYTHOLOGY IS OUR HISTORY ANASAZI HOPI GIANTS HOLLOW EARTH GRAND CANYON
MYTHOLOGY - THE SPOKEN STORY OF A PEOPLE
Think if there existed unknown ancient knowledge in scrolls, texts and books. It is believed that few people from our known past, knew how to write and read. Therefore, stories of history were passed down through civilizations and have become known as mythology and legends.
Using words as they were originally understood, is crucial to answering the questions of HUMAN ORIGIN, The History of Mankind.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding
The word ‘myth’ has generally come to identify any story that is believed to be a work of fiction; As the age of science and philosophy began questioning truth itself, the meaning of the word began to evolve. Early scientists and philosophers questioned the truth, or validity, of their traditional myths, thus began the skepticism that would forever change the meaning of the word.
However, when analyzing myths and legends, it is important to understand the evolution of the word.
The word ‘ Myth’ originates from the Greek word mythos, meaning ‘word’ or ‘tale’ or ‘true narrative’, referring not only to the means by which it was transmitted but also to its being rooted in truth.
Mythology-
In Greek, mythos for story-of-the-people, and logos for word or speech, understood as “the spoken story of a people”.
Legend comes from the Latin legere, to read.
Legends - Written truths to read

'As British politics appeared to descend into chaos this week, one senior Conservative MP remarked that Brexit had sparked nothing short of a revolution that had engulfed both the country's major parties.
Whether that's precisely the right word or not, it's clear this revolution or current crisis was indeed sparked on 23 June 2016 when the majority of voters voted for something - in Brexit - many elected British politicians then & now think is a catastrophic mistake.' - BBC Dec 2018
'Trump's year of chaos in 2018 promises yet another...Throughout 2018, President Donald Trump turned the White House & America into a source of instability, unpredictability & disruption. The past 12 months saw many fears about the 45th President, in the United States & around the world, come true. But it also meant promises delivered for voters who prescribed his electric shock therapy & who relish the sight of political, legal & media establishments in Trump-induced meltdowns.'
