LED Screen, Sheregesh , Russia
LED screen in Sheregesh
In the middle of February 2014 in the village Sheregesh the Novokuznetsk factory GTLight installed the LED screen, which was made according to the order of owners of hotels in the ski resort. In spite of attraction of attention to the major center of information the object of the LED screen is presenting of advertising time to resorts and entertaining organizations.
The choice of employers was Supervised installation that is why GTLight did only the installation, starting-up and adjustment of the LED screen. Due to the fact that the size of the model is 480x480 mm the process of installation was made without attraction of the heavy equipment.
Although the size of the screen is 2,88x1,92 mm the pixel pitch permits to create a high quality of the picture with the resolution of 288x192 px. The screen is situated more than 8 hours under the direct solar sunlight in spite of that the highlight image of the LED screen provides optimized readability of the displayable content.

PR in Russia. Review Briefly. Part 1
PR in Russia -- Overview for Foreigners
I am making a video for PR specialists from abroad.
Here's what I plan to say:
Russia's PR market is small. But important! (hopefully)
Here are several facts.
In total there are just 300 agencies. The PR center is definitely Moscow, with St. Petersburg ranking second place by number of PR agencies. Yet there are also regional schools of PR, more precisely political PR and consulting, for example in Novosibirsk (nlp strategy), Yekaterinburg (risk strategy) and the Leningradskaya school (zombying, neurolinguistics). Meanwhile, the founders of these schools work both in Moscow and around the world.
The market volume for PR services in Russia is very small, approximately equaling the budget of Russia's translation market or the average IT corporation. This is around 300-500 mln dollars. The numbers depend upon how you count. Whether you include consulting or events or something else, accounting for something or other, is essentially a difficult question, like everywhere, probably. After all, fortunately, Russia's PR market has no licensing -- a law on PR is also lacking. And there likely won't be one.
Russia's largest PR agencies -- 16 in total -- have revenues from 3 to 20 mln dollars (100 to 700 mln rubles) a year. Issued in 2013 was the first and long-awaited rating on PR business revenues. It encompassed just 22 companies. Not much, right? It is clear why the small ones were excluded. Yet the reason for omitting Avangard Piara, Maslov Piar, SNP Ogilvy or Imy group is unclear.
Roughly the top five agencies possess numerous government contracts. Apparently, this also largely explains their considerable revenues. Hopefully, the FTPs (federal targeted programs) are progressing well and all budgets are spent appropriately.
Russia has just three PR associations, the most active of which are PACO (first PR association) and iabc/russia, although right now they're somewhat silent, perhaps anticipating something.
Salary levels among PR professionals in Russia fluctuate between 30,000 rubles (1 thousand dollars) and 5-7 thou dollars.

The German competition was held in the Print Media Center of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg). The participants were given two hours to produce a print job revealed to them during the competition. The jury – Harry Belz from Bundesverband Druck und Medien, Dietmar Meier, Head of Training from Mohn Media, and Josef Schmidt from Berufsschule Kempten– scored the participants on their approach to color blending, the total time needed, and the quality of the printed product. The jobs were printed on a Speedmaster SX 52 five-color press with coating unit. Enn Kerner, Managing Director of Grafitek in Tallinn (Estonia), and Roman Silkin from the Technical College for Printing and IT Technology in Novosibirsk (Russia) were invited to observe the proceedings. Both gained valuable experience from the national competition and got an opportunity to exchange information and ideas with the printing experts. They will be able to put this valuable know-how to use in 2019 when the WorldSkills competition is held in Kazan for the first time.

We met the world’s first domesticated foxes
We met the very cute and very bizarre result of an almost 60-year-long experiment: they’re foxes that have been specially bred for their dog-like friendliness toward people. We do a little behavior research of our own, and discover what scientists continue to learn from the world’s most famous experiment in domestication. The fox experiment continues under the supervision of Lyudmila Trut at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics. Her book “How to Tame a Fox (and Build a Dog)”, co-authored by Lee Alan Dugatkin, details the history and science behind the experiment.

A full-body scanner is a device that detects objects on a person's body for security screening purposes, without physically removing clothes or making physical contact. Depending on the specific technology, the operator may see an alternate-wavelength image of the person's naked body, or merely a cartoon-like representation of the person with an indicator showing where any suspicious items were detected. For privacy and security reasons, the display is generally not visible to other passengers, and in some cases is located in a separate room where the operator cannot see the face of the person being screened. Unlike metal detectors, full-body scanners can detect non-metal objects, which became an increasing concern after various airliner bombing attempts in the 2000s.
Two distinct technologies are in general use:
Millimeter wave scanners use non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation similar to that used by wireless data transmitters, in the Extremely High Frequency (EHF) radio band (which is a lower frequency than visible light). The most widely deployed scanner is the L-3 ProVision with over 1.300 international deployments. The health risks posed by these machines are still being studied, and the evidence is mixed, though it has been established that millimeter wave scanners do not generate ionizing radiation. Passive scanners that solely rely on ambient radiation are not in general use at airports.
Backscatter X-ray machines use low dose penetrating radiation for detecting suspicious metallic and non-metallic objects hidden under clothing or in shoes and in the cavities of the human body. X-ray machines are used in some Russian airports (e.g. Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport, Irkutsk International Airport ) for random inspection of passengers.
Starting in 2007, full-body scanners started replacing metal detectors at airports and train stations in many countries. Two advantages of full-body scanners over a physical strip search are that it is quicker (takes only 15 seconds) and that people do not have to physically remove their clothes. In some cases, a clothes-on pat-down is offered as an alternative to a full-body scan. A pat-down is also often used as a follow-up when a suspicious object has been detected by a scan.
Some passengers and issue advocates have objected to having pictures of their naked bodies displayed to screening agents or recorded by the government. Some critics have called the imaging virtual strip searches without probable cause, and some have claimed they are illegal and violate basic human rights. In 2007, a U.S. federal appeals court ruled in a lawsuit brought by the Electronic Privacy Information Center that even the naked-picture version of the technology was a reasonable and constitutional search.
In the United States, pursuant to the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, all full-body scanners operated in airports by the Transportation Security Administration must use Automated Target Recognition software, which replaces the picture of a nude body with the cartoon-like representation. As a result of this rule, all backscatter X-ray machines formerly in use by the Transportation Security Administration were removed from airports, since the agency said the vendor (Rapiscan) did not meet their contractual deadline to implement the software.

Russia, also officially known as the Russian Federation, is a sovereign country in Eurasia. At 17,125,200 square kilometers (6,612,100 sq mi) Russia is the largest country in the world by area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area, and the ninth most populous, with over 144 million people at the end of December 2017. The European western part of the country is much more populated and urbanized than the eastern; about 77% of the population lives in European Russia. Russia's capital Moscow is one of the largest cities in the world; other major urban centers include Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
Extending across the entirety of Northern Asia and much of Eastern Europe, Russia spans eleven time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait.
The East Slavs emerged as a recognizable group in Europe between the 3rd and 8th centuries AD.[23] Founded and ruled by a Varangian warrior elite and their descendants, the medieval state of Rus arose in the 9th century. In 988 it adopted Orthodox Christianity from the Byzantine Empire,[24] beginning the synthesis of Byzantine and Slavic cultures that defined Russian culture for the next millennium.[24] Rus' ultimately disintegrated into a number of smaller states; most of the Rus' lands were overrun by the Mongol invasion and became tributaries of the nomadic Golden Horde in the 13th century.[25] The Grand Duchy of Moscow gradually reunified the surrounding Russian principalities, achieved independence from the Golden Horde, and came to dominate the cultural and political legacy of Kievan Rus'. By the 18th century, the nation had greatly expanded through conquest, annexation, and exploration to become the Russian Empire, which was the third largest empire in history, stretching from Poland on the west to Alaska on the east.

The collapse of the USSR with its outstanding talant searching infrastructure, economic crisises of 1998 and 2008, recent sanctions…All these events provoked serious brain draining from Russia - scientists, artists and other professionals left the country searching for better life somewhere abroad.
To mend up, in 2015 Vladimir Putin initiated to open an education center for gifted children in Sochi. The main idea is to create favorable conditions for developing young talents in Russia. It’s been a year since the center started its work - Vladimir Putin came to Sochi to measure the results of his initiative and was quite impressed with young talents and their projects.
