We would like to bring to your attention the winner tour in the nomination “The Best Military-Historical Route of Russia 2018”: Moscow Military Museums.
The idea of development of this route occurred due to the increased interest in Russia and the Russian army.
For this tour we have chosen the most interesting interactive objects, museums and exhibitions, where tourists can touch, hear and try what the Russian army of different eras is.

Arrival day: Arrival to Moscow, check-in at the hotel
Day 1: A short tour of the Moscow Metro
Excursion to the Bunker-42. A stronghold of resistance in the Cold War. The Bunker is 65 meters underground. You can see an imitation of a nuclear attack, as well as feel the anxiety and tension of a nuclear confrontation. We will visit Stalin’s office where you can take a picture.
Lunch. There is the most underground restaurant in Moscow in the Bunker-42, where tourists can try dishes from the menu of the Politburo of the USSR (lunch is not included in the price of the excursion and is paid separately $10-30)
The “Submarine” Museum
We will visit a real submarine, which was recently in service with the Northern fleet. A huge nine-meter submarine “Novosibirsky Komsomolets” was converted into a museum of the Russian submarine fleet and reveals all the secrets of the life of brave submariners. In addition to the submarine, the tour includes a visit to the landing boat.
Day 2:
The Memorial Museum on Poklonnaya Hill.
The world’s largest memorial complex dedicated to 26 million Soviet citizens who died in World War II.
Lunch at a fish restaurant (lunch is not included in the price of the excursion and is paid separately $20-30)
Exhibition of military equipment in the open air: a unique collection of all types of equipment from World War II. You can touch and climb many of the exhibits.

Central Museum of Military air forces of the Russian Federation
Museum of the history of development of aviation technology, is located in the town of Monino. Created November 28, 1958, and opened for visitors on 23 February 1960. The Museum has a rich collection of helicopters and airplanes both civil and military purposes, as well as weapons, tools, uniforms, works of art. There's foreign exposure, which presents the aircraft of the Second world war. The exhibits are located under the open sky, in two hangars and six halls.

The Victory Museum in Moscow is the largest museum of military history in the Russian Federation. The museum hosts the largest collection of World War II military equipment in Europe.

Самолет Бе-32 знаменит тем, что единственным из гражданских судов мог выполнить боевой разворот, за что его называли гражданским истребителем. Рядом стоит М-15 – резвый «кукурузник» из Польши, нареченный, как и представитель нечистой силы, Бельфегором. Еще один «иностранец» времен Первой мировой – французский «Вуазен», которому довелось сняться в кинофильме «Неуловимые мстители» и в некоторых других.
Интересно посмотреть сквозь лобовое стекло стратостата СССР-1. Тем, кто читал или смотрел кинофильм про летчика Гарнаева, очень любопытно взглянуть в реальности на его знаменитый турболет.
Кроме «аксакалов» ВВС, представлены в музее и довольно новые образцы космической техники. Улыбку вызывает реактивный крошечный самолет Ла-15. Этот «кроха» весит 2,5 тонны и уютно закрепился под килем гигантского «родителя» Ту-195, он может стартовать, только находясь в воздухе. Летательный аппарат БОР-5, вернувшийся на Землю из космических просторов, производит особенно сильное впечатление. The Central Air Force Museum, housed at Monino Airfield, 40 km east of Moscow, Russia, is one of the world's largest aviation museums, and the largest for Russian aircraft. 173 aircraft and 127 aircraft engines are on display, and the museum also features collections of weapons, instruments, uniforms (including captured U2 pilot Gary Powers' uniform), other Cold War-era US spy equipment, artwork, and other air-related items. A library containing books, films, and photos is also accessible to visitors.
The museum is located next to the Military Academy named after Yu. A. Gagarin.

Russia's Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu opened an exhibition of previously secret WWII-era archives in Moscow, Thursday.
The exhibition at the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia - named 'Military Geography - Secrecy Lifted' - consists of more than 25,000 archive materials including maps and plans of the Second World War era.

Russia: EMERCOM plane carries Russian nationals to safety from Syria
Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) flew 56 people from war-torn Syria to Moscow's Domodedovo airport, Saturday.
SOT, Alexander Tomashov, deputy director for the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Emergency Situations (Russian): Today we have concluded another regular flight within which we delivered humanitarian aid to the Syrian Arab Republic, and on our way back we took all those people who decided to leave the combat zone. Following a request of the Syrian government, we delivered food for children: condensed milk, baby food, canned food and warm clothes taken from Russia’s Reserve.
