IRA bomb the town hall of Strabane, and in Belfast bomb a car showroom. 25 February 1972
The Provisional IRA bombed the town hall of Strabane, Co. Tyrone and in Belfast bombed a car showroom along the Falls Road which was the third time it was bombed in a year. They also bombed a number of places in Derry City.

Provisional IRA destroy British Army Observation Post in Springfield Rd, Belfast 30 October 1971
The IRA blew up a Observation Post on the junction of Springfield Road and Cupar Street, Belfast. A British soldier (Norman Booth, aged 22) was killed in the attack. Sorry for no sound.

Strabane/Lifford Border Poll Campaign Launch
Following the hugely successful 'United Ireland-You Decide' border poll campaign in Crossmaglen/Creggan Upper electoral area of South Armagh earlier this year, a committee of local people from the Strabane/Lifford area has been set up to run a similar Peoples Referendum on Irish Unity.

The IRA carried out bomb attacks on cities in England including Bristol, Coventry, Liverpool, Manchester and Southampton, there was no serious injuries but I think one or two people had walking wounds.
