This exhibition is a Memory about the Russian - Japanese War, the First World War and the Second World War. Here can you see, how much the Naval has changed. As example can you see here the russian Ship Rossia and also german Ships like Bremen and Kolberg.

The Central Naval Museum in St. Petersburg in Russia is a very large Museum and full of History. The Museum is selected in some parts from 15th Century until now. There are many authentic exponats and a lot of Paintings, Photos, Statues and Ship Models.

Прогулка по Центральному военно-морскому музею (ЦВММ) в Санкт-Петербурге. С 2013-ого года музейное учреждение находится в отреставрированном комплексе Крюковских (Морских) казарм напротив рукотворного острова Новая Голландия. Всего в нем находится более 700000 (семисот тысяч!) экспонатов, включая 2000 моделей кораблей и судов, в том числе макетов выше человеческого роста.

Russian naval officers took part in a parade on Isaac's Square in central St. Petersburg on Wednesday.
The ceremony was dedicated to the relocation of the naval forces' headquarters from Moscow to the Admiralty building in St. Petersburg.
The structure, which dates back to 1738 and served as the headquarters of the Imperial Russian Navy and the early Soviet Navy, is one of the city's main architectural landmarks.
The relocation to St. Petersburg, the birthplace of the Russian fleet, is seen as a move to bring the Navy back to its roots

A night time stroll past the Russian Artillery Museum. According to Wikipedia, The Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps (Russian: Военно-исторический музей артиллерии, инженерных войск и войск связи), also known simply as the Artillery Museum, is a state-owned military museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Its collections, consisting of Russian military equipment, uniforms and decorations, are hosted in the Kronverk (a crownwork) of the Peter and Paul Fortress situated on the right bank of the Neva near Alexander Park. The museum is managed by the Russian Ministry of Defence. This video was taken around 11:30pm just of the outside portion of the museum, near the main entrance.

Galveston Naval Museum part 1
Galveston’s Museum Day in January was a lot of fun, made more so by connecting with RV friends Tom and Stacie (RV Texas Y’all)
After we toured the Galveston Railroad Museum, we met Tom and Stacie for lunch. From there we all made our way to the Galveston Naval Museum (formerly the American Undersea Warfare Center).
Here you get sort of a two-fer-one on museums as two WW 2 vessels call the Galveston Naval Museum home.
The first one we toured was the USS Cavalla, a submarine. She served in WW 2 and has been called the Avenger of Pearl Harbor. On her maiden patrol, the Cavalla sank the Japanese Aircraft Carrier, Shokaku, a veteran of the Pearl Harbor attack.
She was also tagged with the nick name Lucky Lady as she was commissioned on February 29, 1944, a Leap Year.
It was surprising to see how much could be contained in such a compact space…makes our RV feel spacious by comparison! They also had Big Band music playing in the background...a nice accent to the period posters and information that was throughout the vessel.
Oh, and later on that day, we learned the top deck is currently (and appropriately named) purpleheart wood. Her teakwood decking is currently in storage awaiting restoration.
If you get to Galveston, we recommend a visit…it’s an interesting slice of American history!

Know before you go:
- The museum is located on Pelican Island at Seawolf Park. There is a charge for parking in addition to museum admission.
- Wear appropriate footwear. Decks and stairs can be slippery when wet.

St. Nicholas Naval Cathedral (Никольский морской собор) is a major Baroque Orthodox cathedral in the western part of Central Saint Petersburg. It has always been closely associated with the Russian Navy, serving as its main shrine until the Russian Revolution.
La cathédrale Saint-Nicolas des Marins de Saint-Pétersbourg en Russie, est une cathédrale de style baroque construite entre 1753 et 1762 par l'architecte Sava Tchevakinski, un élève de Bartolomeo Rastrelli. La cathédrale, située près du canal Krioukov, présente une façade peinte en blanc et bleu soutenue par des colonnes corinthiennes.
