Places to see in ( Valencia - Spain ) Central Post Office - Edificio de Correos y Telegrafos
The Post Office Building or Post and Telegraph Palace of Valencia is a building located in the Town Hall Square . It was built between 1915 and 1922 and inaugurated in 1923, where the old fishermen's neighborhood was in part, with Las Barcas Street as a witness. Edificio de Correos y Telegrafos was subsidized by the Maura government for the modernization of postal services in Spain.
Work of the architect zaragozano Miguel Angel Navarro , is of eclectic style dominant in the official architecture. Like the vast majority of Post Office buildings of the time, the monumentality of the building is a symbol of the progress of postal and telegraphic communications in the early decades of the 20th century. Although the main facade appears symmetrical, it is an irregularly shaped building.
The sculptures of the tympanum of the arch of the main façade represent the five continents and those of the crowns that flank the clock show trios of angels bringing letters and telegraphic symbols, along with a ship and a train locomotive, set that makes an allegory of communications by land and sea. To crown the building there is a metal tower; there is a spiral staircase to access a lookout. In the interior, an oval room reproduces the same style of the facade with columns of Ionic style. The center is crowned by an artistic glasswork designed by the Mauméjean brothers, formed by 370 panels containing the shields of the 48 provinces of Spain , and in the center, made of brass , is theshield of the city of Valencia symbolizing the company Correos y Telégrafos.

Plaza del Ayuntamiento, Valencia 2016
Literally translated “Town Hall Square”, the grandiose Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the main square in Valencia and probably the best starting point from which to visit the city.Home to some of the most representative administrative buildings in Valencia, Plaza del Ayuntamiento features an outstanding mix of Spanish architectural styles.
Dominating the square are the stunning neoclassical Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) and the magnificent Central Post Office (Edificio de Correos), designed by architect Miguel Angel Navarro in a beautiful eclectic style that combines striking Modernista features with lavish baroque-inspired interiors.Plaza del Ayuntamiento is also a favorite venue for celebrating local events and festivities, from post-game tailgating parties, Christmas Nativity scenes, and the Region of Valencia Day to the annual Fallas Festival, when the entire place is bursting with energy and spectacular mascletas (explosive pyrotechnic displays).

Welcome to the new FMG Miami office
Hot news from the Sunshine State….the beautiful new FMG Miami office is officially open, providing our US team with a fantastic space from which to drive the division forward in style.
The new office building is right off Biscayne Blvd. in Miami Florida, just north of the city’s trendy design district. The building, which was originally built in 1922 as a Spanish style home, was acquired by Friday Media Group in 2014. Since then it has undergone a complete refurbishment and redesign, to create a state-of-the-art office for Cesar Garcia VP of Operations, Drew Macke, FMG’s U.S. Sales Manager, and their dynamic team.
Cesar and Drew say: “This great office will provide Friday Media Group with the ability to expand into the North American and South American markets.” Ample office space, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and three outdoor terraces will ensure comfortable working and a great location to host clients and business partners.
The original Miami office opened in October of 2011 with just three employees working on the Boatshop24 and Aviation Jobsearch brands. They worked out of an office behind Miami international airport. FMG acquired HorseClicks.com in the winter of 2012 and Drew has grown the team to eight from there. Cesar Garcia also joined the team in October 2015 as the new VP of Operations to help drive business in the U.S.
Today the focus is on Horseclicks.com, AviationJobsearch.com, FarmingAds.com, Boatshop24.com and SimplyHotelJobs.com.
Sam Kidger says: “After five years of operating FMG out of a rented office in the USA it’s fantastic to now have our own home. We have seen our US businesses grow steadily over this time, but now having our own base will give us a springboard to accelerate growth.”
He adds: “It’s an amazing property in a high profile location right in Miami’s Design District. The interior design and the building’s individual style are reflective of FMG’s unique character. Exciting times ahead.”
