Chandipur Tour Sightseeing details... In the state of Odisha
near Balasore, Chandipur Beach is a secluded place shrouded in mystery. It’s unique because the sea water periodically disappears right in front of your eyes, then reappears after some time.
Also called the ‘hide-and-seek’ beach, Chandipur Beach is a sprawling stretch of golden sand surrounded by Casuarina trees, pristine waters, and lush coastal vegetation. But a strange natural phenomenon occurs here every day. Believe it or not, the sea water recedes up to 5 kilometres (3 miles), twice a day during low-tide, leaving behind only the shells. The water returns during the high tide.
This extreme natural phenomenon has really enriched the biodiversity of sea creatures in the area. When the sea water re-appears, it brings along with it horseshoe crabs and red crabs, which otherwise live further from the beach.
One of Odisha Tourism's Panthanivas (guest house) is situated here.

Chandipur, also known as Chandipur-on-sea, is a small sea resort in Baleswar District, Odisha, India. The resort is on the Bay of Bengal and is approximately 16 kilometers from the Baleswar Railway Station. The beach is unique in that the water recedes up to 5 kilometers during the ebb tide. Due to its unique circumstances, the beach supports bio-diversity. Horseshoe crab is also found here on the beach towards Mirzapur, the nearby fishing market and community at the confluence of the Budhabalanga River(Balaramgadi). It is a suitable picnic spot. One of Odisha Tourism's Panthanivas (guest house) is situated here.

The town of Chandipur is located in the Indian state of Orissa. This town is an important tourist destination in the Balasore district. Chandipur is an unexplored sea resort that has pristine beaches and clear blue waters. Tourists mainly flock to Chandipur for this reason, as it is a virgin location with white sands where people can spend some peaceful times, minus the hustle and bustle of general tourist hotspots. There are not many important must visit destinations in the town of Chandipur that you can visit, as the town is primarily known for its vast beach.
You can, however, take a trip to the nearby town of Panchalingeshwar from Chandipur. This town has a major temple that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple, a pilgrim favorite, houses five lingams that are considered very sacred by Hindus.
You can also visit the temples located in the town of Sajanagarh, located at a distance of around five kilometers from Chandipur. A temple called the Chandi Temple is located in Chandipur, and this is also quite famous. Religiously inclined individuals can visit the Jagannath temple in Nilagiri Nalagiri. Nilagiri Nalagiri was the capital of an erstwhile princely state, and the Kuldiha Sanctuary located in this region is also a very popular place among tourists.
