Took a ride today in the new giant (72 foot) helium balloon at Walt Disney World - Downtown Disney. It goes as high as 400 feet and they say you can see 10 miles on a clear day. Music is Honeysuckle Rose, Manny Lopez - Live at the Davenport Radisson.

We got to experience Character's in Flight at Downtown Disney and it was spectacular. Going up 400 feet in the heart of Walt Disney World gives passengers a view like no other. It is the best sixteen dollars you will ever spend at Walt Disney World. Get over to Downtown Disney to experience Characters in Flight for yourself.

The Characters in Flight helium balloon ride at Downtown Disney officially opened on April 21, 2009. The balloon, operated by Aerophile, takes up to thirty guests 400 feet in the air for around five minutes, provided 360-degree views of all of Walt Disney World and the Orlando area.
In this video you can watch the balloon liftoff and land as well as take a virtual ride on the new attraction, showing you some of the incredible views it offers.
In addition, this video includes interviews with vice president of Downtown Disney Kevin Lansberry and general manager of Aerophile Erik Garcia, and a glimpse at the ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring vice president of operating partners Keith Bradford and 2009 Walt Disney World ambassador Vanessa Rosas.

This is video of my ride on the Characters In Flight, Aerophile Balloon Ride in Downtown Disney, Florida. When I first saw this my first though was I have to go on it! The first day we were there it was grounded because of to much wind. We made it back to Downtown Disney a couple days later and the weather was perfect! Up we went 400 feet in the air! It was a fantastic feeling and one of my highlights of our family trip to Disney 2010.

Getting out of the house to the airport on time was a miracle! And then United assigned us seats that were separate from each other... so there was that. But in the end, it all worked out and we managed to get to Disney without any trouble. Also, Baby M loved the character dinner and meeting Pluto and Goofy at the Garden Grove Restaurant in the Swan Hotel!

Make-A-Wish Trip To Disney World In Orlando Florida (Give Kids The World)
My daughter has been through a lot recently due to her diagnosis of Spina Bifida Myelomeningocele. Last year she had three very extensive surgeries. As such, we took her to Disney World in Orlando Florida for a week. It wasn't just any vacation, though, she qualified for Make-A-Wish, which is a program that grants a wish for a child with a life-threatening illness. They go above and beyond to ensure the wish child has the time of their life. My family and I cannot thank the Make-A-Wish program enough -- this was truly a dream come true.

EPIC Disney World Vacation | Orlando, FL
We spent two full days in Disney World and visited four parks. We love the shows and parades, so we saw a lot of those and hit up our favorite rides. And ate great food.
Day 1: Morning
Epcot is currently featuring the International Flower & Garden Festival. It's amazingly beautiful and huge - over 300 acres of gardens! My favorite part was the topiaries of Disney characters. Isa's favorite part were all the new temporary food vendors selling all sorts of deliciousness.
Day 1: Afternoon
Animal Kingdom is currently building Pandora: Land of Avatar, but it wasn't open yet. We rode Expedition Everest which is such a fun roller coaster. We also stuck around for the Rivers of Light night show.
Day 2: Morning
Hollywood Studios is a lot of fun with the storm troopers running around. We haven't been to Disney since they added Star Wars. We rode Star Tours and then headed over to the single rider line of Rock 'n' Roller Coaster because you never have to wait more than a few minutes.
Day 2: Afternoon
We spent the rest of our time in the Magic Kingdom. We checked out as many shows and parades as we could, and snuck in a few rides on Space Mountain and the new (to us) Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster.

We Had Some Amazing Character Interactions at Disney's Hollywood Studios!!
In today's video we head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios to check out some of the construction work that has been going on for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land. While we were there we had some really great and personal interactions with The Citizens of Hollywood, most predominately Betty Shambles. We also had some great interactions with Chip and Dale where they wanted Tim to change his Mickey for President shirt to a Chip and Dale for President shirt. We also stuck around for the end of the Star Wars stage show to get a close up look at Darth Vader, storm troopers, Kylo Ren, Rey, and Chewbacca as they exited. The interactions we had this day are what make Disney one of the most magical places on earth. We also checked out some of the cold weather merchandise and the special edition Valentine's Day magic bands. Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!
