Orcas Island, Washington | Camping at Moran State Park | May 2017
My family's magical trip to Orcas Island, Washington. Orcas is one of the main islands in the San Juan Islands chain at the very northwest tip of the contiguous United States in Washington. It is only accessible by ferry from Anacortes, WA.
We camped at Moran State Park on Cascade Lake. Entire island was in full bloom when we visited in May of 2017.
I don't usually post public videos but I wanted to share Orcas Island and Moran State Park for those considering.
Disclaimer about music: I purchased all the music by Hammock used in this video. It was what we listened to while visiting Orcas Island.
Stevens Pass Opens First Charging Station at Ski Area in US
The State of Washington has a goal to build the nation's first EV-Friendly scenic highway and tourism corridor. As part of the first piece of the puzzle in connecting North Central Washington to Seattle, Stevens Pass Ski Area—popular with Seattle-ites—has installed the first 240 Volt, Level 2 charging stations at any ski area in the United States. To mark their opening, LEAFs from both Wenatchee (east of the Cascades) and Seattle (west of the Cascades) drove up the mountain to be the first to charge there.
