A trip around Cherry Creek Reservoir at Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora Colorado DJI Phantom
Just a flight around the reservoir at the park showing how low the water is this year. I used a ContourGPS camera and a DJI Phantom Quad copter to do the videoing. The lake is the lowest I have ever seen it and they say its going to get lower. But they are not saying if they are going to dredge it to get the silt that has flowed into it out. Hopefully it will be deeper next summer.
PICKING UP MY PARENTS IN DENVER!! ✈️ | Camping at Cherry Creek State Park
We left Utah and made the looooong drive to Lyons, Colorado where we stayed at the LaVern M. Johnson Park for 2 nights. It turned into a day from hell, starting with nearly ALL of the rest stops being closed and nowhere to stop and rest. We then ended up on a mud road (a CO SR) and couldn't get turned around. It started pouring and we ended up in a traffic a jam trying to get OFF the road. The truck and RV were completely COVERED in mud. Then we finally got to the park, unhitched and tried to hook up when we discovered the power wouldn't reach - what we found to be a common problem at the park. So we had to hitch up again ????
It all worked out in the end, and other than the awkward hookups, the park itself was nice and convenient for walking around Lyons and visiting Boulder.
We then headed to Cherry Creek State Park in Denver so we would be close to the airport to pick my parents up. This ended up being one of our favorite State Parks! It was beautiful. They also allowed us to leave our trailer in the parking lot since we had to check out and didn't want to tow to the airport (is that even possible?). We were so excited to see my parents and start our week of adventures with them.

The video 4K City Walks: Denver, Colorado Cherry Creek Area - Virtual Walk Treadmill City guide beginner Treadmill workout Video is a free tour around the large park on the southern side of the city between downtown and Denver University. I filmed using my new GoPro8 but this was the first time I used it and had some issues with the Horizons. Sorry about that. We walk starting out in the little commercial area with a few shops, restuarants, bars, and even a marijuana dispensary. We make our way through a residential area and into the park itself where many people are out being active. We walk past the pond and boat house and then back towards the little neighborhood bars and shops. I hope you enjoy this late afternoon fall walk through Denver's Washington Park Neighborhood.

It was a nice quiet afternoon with lots of trees shedding their autumn foliage in one of the nicest areas of Denver.

Cherry Creek Trail (Cherry Creek Park to High Line Canal) - Denver, CO
This is a small 1.9 mile section that goes from near the Cherry Creek Dam to where the Cherry Creek Trail intersects with the High Line Canal Trail in the south part of Denver. This trail continues for about 10 more miles all the way to the Platte River near downtown Denver.
